Abstract:Taking Songnen Plane wetland as background, the paper tries to establish an information system of hydrology based on GIS trchnology. A method is presented to develop a wetland GIS by use of COM and designs the system architecture using UML method. At the last, the method is implemented into a prototype system.

Abstract:This paper uses Songnen Plain wetland as background to build up an irrigation information system based on the basic GIS platform.It provides a new method for the design and development of wetland geographic system which is based on UML.It sets up the system framework on the MapObjects component and divides the system into general model and special analysis model.It also provides a static structure framework of system module and a prototype of the wetland system.

Abstract:This paper puts forward a kind of designing method of wetland information system based on GIS with protecting wetlands in the background. GIS-GPS method is presented to setup control point for spatial data, which overcomes localization of traditional method. And at the same time, it applies VB+ArcObjects technology to realize information system, and discusses some important techniques such as intersect analysis、 spatial searches and so on.

Abstract:In this paper,the design,function and characteristics of the groundwater resource information system based on the COMGIS is analyzed.The system is independent of any commercial GIS platform and integrates seamlessly the GIS function and professional knowledge.The system provides rationally evaluation of groundwater resources and decision-making using the GIS spatial analysis function.The system is efficient in practical tests.

Abstract:In the RS, GIS and GPS integrated system of flood resource and wetland entironment of Songnen plain, wetland flood routing simulation system is an important component. The study and development of this simulation system is always a complicated subject. According to the analysis of system target and visualization requirement, OpenGL, that is, the opening international standard of the 3D image is expatiated. On the basis of GIS technology, the system is developed by Visual (C+ +) Program language of object oriented under OpenGL program environment. It realizes the three-dimension display of Zhalong Wetland terrain and flood routing simulation.

Abstract:Current WebGIS platform developing techniques,such as CGI,Server API,Plug-ins,ActiveX, Java and so on,have their respective limitations. A new WebGIS system framework based on COM+ technology is presented. Technical foundation and system structure are discussed. Three key problems are put forward and resolved. Finally,an application example is given. It is proved that the solution can make full use of the resource of server, support operations by multiple users simultaneously have high system security and is independent of the platform of client.

Abstract:In recent decades, the society has changed view of wetlands from wastelands to highly productive areas with rich resources. More and more organizations have been conducting a variety of research and monitoring activities. For conservation and ecological restoration of Liaohe River estuary wetland, it is necessary to construct wetland management information system. Wetland information system involves management of attribute and spatial data. Web-based Geographic Information System (WebGIS) has come to be an indispensable tool for analyzing and managing both attribute and spatial data. Based on WebGIS technology, the system architecture is described in detail. By integrating open source software into a Web based Browser/Server environment, the system is developed and realized at nearly zero cost. Lots of features which are not inferior to those produced by commercial software are implemented in the system. © 2010 IEEE.

Abstract:Discusses some important problems in applying integration technology of GPS (Global Positioning System) and GIS (Geographical Information System) to wetland study. The study focuses on both dynamic data exchange of GPS and GIS technology and wetland resource investigation on current status using information integration technology of GPS and GIS. Study points' position in subject digital maps can be displayed and tracked using GPS and GIS integration technology. Ecological environment changes can be found. The GPS study points' position information and satellite status data can be displayed and be used to update the wetland database. GPS data communication technology, positioning data process method and data display techniques are presented in This work. A special resolving method, flow charts and the data processing method are discussed in detail. The GIS platform is Arc/Info 8.2 of ESRI. The data communication is realized by using MSComm Control. The study is undertaken on Zhalong Wetland, Qiqihaer City, Heilongjiang Province, China. The result of practice proves that the integration technology of GIS and GPS can orient changed areas accurately and reflect the current situation and historical background of wetland comprehensively. It is an efficient method in dynamic analysis of wetland protection and is helpful in trend prediction of wetland for the sustainable development of regional economy. It offers basic data for some macro adjustments and government policy.

Abstract:This paper introduced the functional module composition of Zhejiang Provincial Water Conservancy Management Information System, and analyzed the database structure and logic relations of the system. The paper also discussed the characteristics of main developing tools and operational platform. The applications of the system in Zhejiang provincial governmental offices and other administrative departments show that the system has advanced design, powerful functions, high stability and good practicability.

Abstract:Based on the water environment information of Chaohu Lake,GIS based application program was developed by using the advanced facing object program language Visual Basic6.0 and Map Objects2.0 to simulate the water transfer project from Yangtze River to Chaohu Lake.Basic geographical information,hydrological information and water quality information were statistic,analysis and management by the simulate program.The mathematical model and GIS were integrated by the method of embedding to realize dynamic simulation ability which provided a power sustain for the argumentation of water transfer scheme and environment management.

Abstract:This paper discusses how to design and establish soil and water conservation information system for small watersheds based on component GIS technology.It discusses combination modes of GIS and soil and water conservation,the design of framework,functions and database of the system.It also establishes the system using Delphi and ArcGIS engine with a case of Liudaogou small watershed in the loess Plateau as an example.This GIS system can input,manage and output spatial data and attribute data about soil and water conservation of small watershed and provide interesting information with texts,tables,maps,aerial photo and other formats.

Abstract:To meet the demands of the regional wetland evaluation, a wetland evaluation system (WES) was developed, which integrated digital image processing, economic value evaluation model of wetland functions and 3D visualization. This paper chose CASM ImageInfo as one part of WES for processing the multiple source images. Based on the wetland database management system, a graphical modeling tool was developed which supplied many wetland value calculation functions in form of a flowchart and made wetland evaluation process semi-automatic. Besides, Jx-4 (a digital photogrammetric system) was chosen as the data preparation module in the WES. Based on the DEM data derived from Jx-4. 3D visualization of regional wetlands was realized by the VR (Virtual Reality) technology. The VR technology was integrated to simulate the circumstance of the wetland and the wetland dynamic processes under different hydrologic conditions in 3D space. This system was an effective and fully digital processing platform for the researchers to evaluate regional wetland services and to obtain the general circumstance and the change of the wetland. This system provided advanced scientific management and effective decision-making information for wetland resources.

Abstract:Poyang Lake wetland,one of the world's six major wetlands,was taken as the research object.The theories and technologies of geographic information system,remote sensing,global positioning system,spatial database,three-dimensional virtual simulation and hydrodynamic theories were adopted to construct the fundamental geographic information system for Poyang Lake wetland,which integrates the expert knowledge,model and decision making functions.To a certain extent,this system solved the contradictions in wetland economic development,in which different sectors(e.g.environment,water conservation and land planning) are closely related,but are at the same time isolated from each other.And to some extent,this system realized systems integration development,three-dimensional modeling and simulation for hydraulic engineering,and the dynamic simulation and forecasting of flooding based on 3D WebGIS.

Abstract:The ability with distributed computing is a main characteristic for new WebGIS platform. An organizing strategy of distributed WebGIS (DWebGIS) based on environment of server group and its implementation are presented. Then the distributed architecture of DWebGIS and engine of map services for COM+ were analyzed in detail. A distributed solution and process methods about DWebGIS are discussed, in which network load balancing (NLB) of server group, hidden marks of no-status objects, just-in-time (JIT) activation and object pooling are the key technique. Also, process of image based map-entities-objects in Client/Server, three factors (The alone filename are created by SessionID?server systematic time and random number), cycle of system request/response are expatiated on. Lastly, the correctness and feasibility for design of WebGIS system platform based on COM+ technique are proved by an example in Zhejiang Provincial Digital Drainage Area Planning System. Our further RD work is in progress.

Abstract:Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are used to store, manipulate and visualize both spatial and non-spatial data. Because of their data manipulating capabilities, GIS have been recognized as a powerful tool to integrate and analyze data the context of flood management. To provide decision-relevant information supporting planning and management, GIS are integrated with hydrological models for scenario analysis and optimization tasks. However, with the aid of three-dimensional (3D) visualization technology, users can understand the spatial phenomenon deeply. This paper develops a system for regional scale flood prediction and protecting that integrates GIS, hydrological models, and 3D visualization. The well-known HEC models and self-develop models were used to compute flooded areas and estimation flood loss. The 3D virtual environment is accomplished by self-developed 3D graph engine. This approach provides a very useful tool, not only for flood policy formulation and floodplain management but also very appropriate for individual and institutional decision making processes.

Abstract:The applications of GIS technology using in water supply industry are getting more popular,but the most chosen GIS products were universal ones,this phenomena made the system has much redundancy functions for water supply applications.In the same time,there still are some professional functions that the GIS system can not achieve.This situation was caused by two main reasons:the traditional development method can not develop GIS product face to curtain industry, and secondary developments methods are limited by develop tools or professional knowledge of developers.The birth of COMGIS provide a new way for solve this problem.Combine COM technology with MapObjects controls,a test was made in developing professional GIS system for water supply industry.
