Abstract:We derive interior curvature bounds for admissible solutions of a class of curvature equations subject to affine Dirichlet data, generalizing a well-known estimate of Pogorelov for equations of Monge-Ampere type. For equations for which convexity of the solution is the natural ellipticity assumption, the curvature bound is proved for solutions with C-1,C-1 Dirichlet data. We also use the curvature bounds to improve and extend various existence results for the Dirichlet and Plateau problems.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the regularity for viscosity solutions of locally uniformly elliptic equations and obtain a series of interior pointwise $C^{k,\alpha}$ ($k\geq 1$, $0<\alpha<1$) regularity with smallness assumptions on the solution and the right-hand term. As applications, we obtain various interior pointwise regularity for several classical elliptic equations, i.e., the prescribed mean curvature equation, the Monge-Ampère equation, the $k$-Hessian equations, the $k$-Hessian quotient equations and the Lagrangian mean curvature equation. Moreover, the smallness assumptions are necessary in most cases (Remark 2.6, Remark 3.5, Remark 4.7, Remark 5.4 and Remark 6.5).

Abstract:In this paper, we obtain $C^{1}$ and $C^{1,1}$ regularity of $L^{n}$-viscosity solutions for general semilinear elliptic equation in nondivergence form under some more weaker assumptions, which generalize the result for equations with nonhomogeneous term $f(x)$ to $f(x,u)$. In particular, the nonhomogeneous term $f(x,u)$ is assumed optimally to satisfy unform Dini continuity condition in $u$ and modified $C^{1,1}$ Newtonian potential condition in $x$. For unbounded coefficients, if $a_{ij}$ is $C_{n}^{-1,1}$ at $x_{0}\in\Omega$ with small modulus, $b_{i}\in L^{q}(\Omega)$ for some $q>n$, the solution is $C^{1}$ at $x_{0}$. Furthermore, if $a_{ij},~b_{i}$ are Dini continuous at $x_{0}$, the solution is $C^{1,1}$ at $x_{0}$.

Abstract:Let $2\le n\le 5$. We establish an apriori interior H\"older regularity of $C^2$-stable solutions to the semilinear equation $-\Delta u=f(u)$ in any domain of $R^n$ for any nonlinearity $f\in C^{0,1}(R) $.If $f $ is nondecreasing and convex in addition,we obtain an interior H\"older regularity, and hence the local boundedness, of $W^{1,2}(\Omega)$-stable solutions by locally approximating them via $C^2(\Omega)$-stable solutions. In particular, we do not require any lower bound on $f$.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the interior regularity theory for stationary solutions of the supercritical nonlinear elliptic equation -Δ u=|u|^p-1u in Ω, p>n+2/n-2, where Ω⊂ℝ^n is a bounded domain with n≥ 3. Our primary focus is on the structure of stratification for the singular sets. We define the k-th stratification S^k(u) of u based on the tangent functions and measures. We show that the Hausdorff dimension of S^k(u) is at most k and S^k(u) is k-rectifiable, and establish estimates for volumes associated with points that have lower bounds on the regular scales. These estimates enable us to derive sharp interior estimates for the solutions. Specifically, if α_p=2(p+1)/p-1 is not an integer, then for any j∈ℤ_≥ 0, we have D^ju∈ L_loc^q_j,∞(Ω), which implies that for any Ω'⊂⊂Ω, sup{λ>0:λ^q_jℒ^n({x∈Ω':|D^ju(x)|>λ})}<+∞, where ℒ^n(·) is the n-dimensional Lebesgue measure, and q_j=(p-1)(⌊α_p⌋+1)/2+j(p-1), with ⌊α_p⌋ being the integer part of α_p. The proofs of these results rely on Reifenberg-type theorems developed by A. Naber and D. Valtorta to study the stratification of harmonic maps.

In this paper, we study the partial regularity for stationary positive weak solutions of the equation(1.1) Deltau + h(1)( x) u + h(2)(x) u(alpha) = 0 in Omega.We prove that if alpha > n+ 2/ n-2, and u is an element of H-1(Omega) boolean AND Lalpha+1(Omega) is a stationary positive weak solution of ( 1.1), then the Hausdor. dimension of the singular set of u is less than n-2/alpha+1/alpha-1, which generalizes the main results in Pacard 1993 and Pacard 1994.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove the boundary pointwise $C^{0}$-regularity of weak solutions for Dirichlet problem of elliptic equations in divergence form with distributional coefficients, where the boundary value equals to zero. This is a generalization of the interior case. If $\Omega$ satisfies some measure condition at one boundary point, the bilinear mapping $\langle V\cdot,\cdot\rangle$ generalized by distributional coefficient $V$ can be controlled by a constant sufficiently small, the nonhomogeneous terms satisfy some Dini decay conditions, then the solution is continuous at this point in the $L^{2}$ sense.

Abstract:We establish some interior regularity criteria for suitable weak solutions of the 3-D Navier-Stokes equations which allow the vertical part of the velocity to be large under the local scaling invariant norm. As an application, we improve Ladyzhenskaya-Prodi-Serrin’s criterion and Escauriza-Seregin-Šverák’s criterion. We also show that if a weak solution u satisfies u( · ,t)_L^p ⩽ C( - t)^(3 - p)/2p for some 3 < p < ∞, then the number of singular points is finite.

Abstract:We provide a sharp $C^{1,\alpha}$ estimate up to the boundary for a viscosity solution of a degenerate fully nonlinear elliptic equation with the oblique boundary condition on a $C^1$ domain. To this end, we first obtain a uniform boundary H{ö}lder estimate with the oblique boundary condition in an "almost $C^1$-flat" domain for the equations which is uniformly elliptic only where the gradient is far from some point, and then we establish a desired $C^{1,\alpha}$ regularity based on perturbation and compactness arguments.

Abstract:In this paper, we develop systematically the pointwise regularity for viscosity solutions of fully nonlinear elliptic equations in general forms. In particular, the equations with quadratic growth (called natural growth) in the gradient are covered. We obtain a series of interior and boundary pointwise $C^{k,\alpha}$ regularity ($k\geq 1$ and $0<\alpha<1$). In addition, we also derive the pointwise $C^k$ regularity ($k\geq 1$) and $C^{k,\mathrm{lnL}}$ regularity ($k\geq 0$), which correspond to the end points $\alpha=0$ and $\alpha=1$ respectively. Some regularity results are new even for the linear equations. Moreover, the minimum requirements are imposed to obtain above regularity and our proofs are simple.

Abstract:In this article we establish sharp $C^{1,\alpha}$ estimates for weak solutions of singular and degenerate quasilinear elliptic equation $$-\,div\, a(x, \nabla u) = f,$$ which includes the standard $p$-laplacean equation with varying coefficients as a special case. The sharp exponent $\alpha$ is asymptotically optimal and is determined by the Hölder regularity of the coefficients, the exponent $p$ and the $q$-integrability of the source term $f$.

Abstract:This article is concerned with ``up to $C^{2, \alpha}$-regularity results'' about a mixed local-nonlocal nonlinear elliptic equation which is driven by the superposition of Laplacian and fractional Laplacian operators. First of all, an estimate on the $L^\infty$ norm of weak solutions is established for more general cases than the ones present in the literature, including here critical nonlinearities. We then prove the interior $C^{1,\alpha}$-regularity and the $C^{1,\alpha}$-regularity up to the boundary of weak solutions, which extends previous results by the authors [X. Su, E. Valdinoci, Y. Wei and J. Zhang, Math. Z. (2022)], where the nonlinearities considered were of subcritical type. In addition, we establish the interior $C^{2,\alpha}$-regularity of solutions for all $s\in(0,1)$ and the $C^{2,\alpha}$-regularity up to the boundary for all $s\in(0,\frac{1}{2})$, with sharp regularity exponents. For further perusal, we also include a strong maximum principle and some properties about the principal eigenvalue.
