Abstract:In this paper, we derive the sub-Riemannian version of the Kastler-Kalau-Walze type theorem and the Dabrowski-Sitarz-Zalecki type theorem for the twisted BCV spaces. We also compute the Connes conformal invariants for the twisted product, as well as the sub-Riemannian limits of the Connes conformal invariants for the twisted BCV spaces.

Abstract:We prove that twisted groupoid C*-algebras are characterised, up to isomorphism, by having Cartan semigroups, a natural generalisation of normaliser semigroups of Cartan subalgebras. This extends the classic Kumjian-Renault theory to general twisted étale groupoid C*-algebras, even non-reduced C*-algebras of non-effective groupoids.

Abstract:For any finite group $G$, the equivariant Gromov-Witten invariants of $[\mathbb{C}^r/G]$ can be viewed as a certain twisted Gromov-Witten invariants of the classifying stack $\mathcal{B} G$. In this paper, we use Tseng's orbifold quantum Riemann-Roch theorem to express the equivariant Gromov-Witten invariants of $[\mathbb{C}^r/G]$ as a sum over Feynman graphs, where the weight of each graph is expressed in terms of descendant integrals over moduli spaces of stable curves and representations of $G$.

Abstract:An isometry of a unital [Formula: see text]-algebra with respect to a spectral triple is a [Formula: see text]-automorphism of the [Formula: see text]-algebra given by the conjugation by a unitary operator which commutes with the Dirac operator. We give a semidirect product topological characterization on the isometry group of a twisted reduced group [Formula: see text]-algebra of a discrete group with respect to the standard spectral triple induced by a length function on the group. We prove that this isometry group is compact in the point-norm topology, and in particular, for a finitely generated discrete group, this isometry group is a compact Lie group in the point-norm topology. We also extend this result to a unital [Formula: see text]-algebra with a filtration, and prove that its isometry group is a compact topological group in the point-norm topology.

Abstract:Nebe, Rains and Sloane studied the polynomial invariants for real and complex Clifford groups and they give a new conceptual proof that these invariants are spanned by the set of complete weight enumerators of certain self-dual codes, which was first proved by Runge using modular forms. The purpose of this paper is to show that very similar results can be obtained for the invariants of the complex Clifford group X-m acting on the space of conjugate polynomials in 2(m) variables of degree N-1 in x(f) and of degree N-2 in their complex conjugates (x(f)) over bar. In particular, we show that the dimension of this space is 2, for (N-1, N-2)=(5,5). This solves affirmatively Conjecture 2 given by Zhu, Kueng, Grassl and Gross. In other words if an orbit of the complex Clifford group is a projective 4-design, then it is automatically a projective 5-design.

This is the first part of a series of papers where the behavior of the invariants under twist by Dirichlet characters is studied for [math]-functions of degree 2. Here we show, under suitable conditions, that degree and internal shift remain unchanged under twist. The ultimate goal of the series is to prove a general version of Weil converse theorem with minimal assumptions on the shape of the functional equation of the twists.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a notion of twisted restricted conformal blocks on totally ramified orbicurves and establish an isomorphism between the space of twisted restricted conformal blocks and the space of twisted conformal blocks. The relationships among twisted (restricted) conformal blocks, $g$-twisted (restricted) correlation functions, and twisted intertwining operators are explored. Furthermore, by introducing a geometric generalization of Zhu's algebra and its modules, we obtain a description of the space of coinvariants by modules over associative algebras and show it is finite-dimensional under some conditions. In particular, a more conceptual proof of the $g$-twisted fusion rules theorem in vertex operator algebra theory is provided.

Abstract:We present an alternate definition of the mod Z component of the Atiyah-Patodi-Singer η invariant associated to (not necessary unitary) flat vector bundles, which identifies explicitly its real and imaginary parts. This is done by combining a deformation of flat connections introduced in a previous paper with the analytic continuation procedure appearing in the original article of Atiyah, Patodi and Singer.

Abstract:We introduce a concept of bi-conformal transformation, as a generalization of conformal ones, by allowing two orthogonal parts of a manifold with metric g to be scaled by different conformal factors. In particular, we study their infinitesimal version, called bi-conformal vector fields. We show that these are characterized by the differential conditions and , where P and Π are orthogonal projectors (P + Π = g). Keeping P and Π fixed, the set of bi-conformal vector fields is a Lie algebra which can be finite or infinite dimensional according to the dimensionality of the projectors. We determine (i) when an infinite-dimensional case is feasible and its properties, and (ii) a normal system for the generators in the finite-dimensional case. Its integrability conditions are also analysed, which in particular provides the maximum number of linearly independent solutions. We identify the corresponding maximal spaces, and show a necessary geometric condition for a metric tensor to be a double-twisted product. More general 'breakable' spaces are briefly considered. Many known symmetries are included, such as conformal Killing vectors, Kerr–Schild vector fields, kinematic self-similarity, causal symmetries and rigid motions.

Abstract:We construct the space of vector fields on quantum groups . Its elements are products of the known left invariant vector fields with the elements of the quantum group itself. We also study the duality between vector fields and 1-forms. The construction is easily generalized to tensor fields. A Lie derivative along any (also non left invariant) vector field is proposed. These results hold for a generic Hopf algebra.

Abstract:This article discusses the twisted adjoint action $\mathrm{Ad}_{g}^{\kappa}:G\rightarrow G$, $x\mapsto gx\kappa(g^{-1})$ given by a Dynkin diagram automorphism $\kappa\in\mathrm{Aut}(G)$, where $G$ is compact, connected, simply connected and simple. The first aim is to recover the classification of $\kappa$-twisted conjugacy classes by elementary means, without invoking the non-connected group $G\rtimes\langle\kappa\rangle$. The second objective is to highlight several properties of the so-called \textit{twining characters} $\tilde{\chi}^{(\kappa)}:G\rightarrow\mathbb{C}$, as defined by Fuchs, Schellekens and Schweigert. These class functions generalize the usual characters, and define $\kappa$-twisted versions $\tilde{R}^{(\kappa)}(G)$ and $\tilde{R}_{k}^{(\kappa)}(G)$ ($k\in\mathbb{Z}_{>0}$) of the representation and fusion rings associated to $G$. In particular, the latter are shown to be isomorphic to the representation and fusion rings of the \textit{orbit Lie group} $G_{(\kappa)}$, a simply connected group obtained from $\kappa$ and the root data of $G$.

Invariant Geometric Structures on Almost Abelian Lie Groups

Abstract:An almost Abelian group is a non-Abelian Lie group with a codimension 1 Abelian subgroup. This paper investigates invariant Hermitian and Kähler structures on connected complex almost Abelian groups. We find explicit formulas for the left and right Haar measures, the modular function, and left and right generator vector fields on simply connected complex almost Abelian groups. From the generator fields, we obtain invariant vector and tensor field frames, allowing us to find an explicit form for all invariant tensor fields. Namely, all such invariant tensor fields have constant coefficients in the invariant frame. From this, we classify all invariant Hermitian forms on complex simply connected almost Abelian groups, and we prove the nonexistence of invariant Kähler forms on all such groups. Via constructions involving the pullback of the quotient map, we extend the explicit description of invariant Hermitian structures and the nonexistence of Kähler structures to connected almost Abelian groups.

Abstract:I study a special type of canonical relations given by twisted conormal bundles, construct a "subcategory" of the symplectic "category" out of these canonical relations and quantize them into semi-classical Fourier integral operators. Furthermore, I give a description of the intrinsic line bundle of symbols of these operators and describe how the symbols compose when the operators compose.

Abstract:Reidemeister numbers of group automorphisms encode the number of twisted conjugacy classes of groups and might yield information about self-maps of spaces related to the given objects. Here we address a question posed by Gonçalves and Wong in the mid 2000s: we construct an infinite series of compact connected solvmanifolds (that are not nilmanifolds) of strictly increasing dimensions and all of whose self-homotopy equivalences have vanishing Nielsen number. To this end, we establish a sufficient condition for a prominent (infinite) family of soluble linear groups to have the so-called property $R_\infty$. In particular, we generalize or complement earlier results due to Dekimpe, Gonçalves, Kochloukova, Nasybullov, Taback, Tertooy, Van den Bussche, and Wong, showing that many soluble $S$-arithmetic groups have $R_\infty$ and suggesting a conjecture in this direction.

On Lipschitz functions on groups equipped with conjugation-invariant norms

Abstract:We observe that a function on a group equipped with a bi-invariant word metric is Lipschitz if and only if it is a partial quasimorphism bounded on the generating set. We also show that an undistorted element is always detected by an antisymmetric homogeneous partial quasimorphisms. We provide a general homogenisation procedure for Lipschitz functions and relate partial quasimorphisms on a group to ones on its asymptotic cones.

Abstract:In this article, we revisit Weibel's conjecture for twisted $K$-theory. We also examine the vanishing of twisted negative $K$-groups for Prüfer domains. Furthermore, we observe that the homotopy invariance of twisted $K$-theory holds for (finite-dimensional) Prüfer domains.

Abstract:Let (W,S) be a Coxeter system equipped with a fixed automorphism ⁎ of order ≤2 which preserves S. Lusztig (and with Vogan in some special cases) have shown that the space spanned by set of “twisted” involutions (i.e., elements w∈W with w⁎=w−1) was naturally endowed with a module structure of the Hecke algebra of (W,S) with two distinguished bases, which can be viewed as twisted analogues of the well-known standard basis and Kazhdan–Lusztig basis. The transition matrix between these bases defines a family of polynomials Py,wσ which can be viewed as “twisted” analogues of the well-known Kazhdan–Lusztig polynomials of (W,S). Lusztig has conjectured that this module is isomorphic to the right ideal of the Hecke algebra (with Hecke parameter u2) associated to (W,S) generated by the element X∅:=∑w⁎=wu−ℓ(w)Tw. In this paper we prove this conjecture in the case when ⁎=id and W=Sn (the symmetric group on n letters). Our methods are expected to be generalised to all the other finite crystallographic Coxeter groups.

Abstract:We introduce the notion of quantum-symmetric equivalence of two connected graded algebras, based on Morita-Takeuchi equivalences of their universal quantum groups, in the sense of Manin. We study homological and algebraic invariants of quantum-symmetric equivalence classes, and prove that numerical $\mathrm{Tor}$-regularity, Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity, Artin-Schelter regularity, and the Frobenius property are invariant under any Morita-Takeuchi equivalence. In particular, by combining our results with the work of Raedschelders and Van den Bergh, we prove that Koszul Artin-Schelter regular algebras of a fixed global dimension form a single quantum-symmetric equivalence class. Moreover, we characterize 2-cocycle twists (which arise as a special case of quantum-symmetric equivalence) of Koszul duals, of superpotentials, of superpotential algebras, of Nakayama automorphisms of twisted Frobenius algebras, and of Artin-Schelter regular algebras. We also show that finite generation of Hochschild cohomology rings is preserved under certain 2-cocycle twists.
