Abstract:: A molten salt reactor (MSR) is a class of nuclear fission reactors using a molten salt mixture as the primary coolant and fuel. As one of the generation IV reactors MSR has received an increasing attention. The corrosion of materials is one of the technical obstacles to the development of MSR, and thus has been investigated extensively. Up to now, great progresses have been achieved in the study of the corrosion of materials in MSR environments. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the research work on the materials corrosion in MSR.
