Preparation of Nano-Hydroxyapatite by Precipitation Method with Adding Lecithin

Abstract:Nano-hydroxyapatite (HAP) powders were prepared by the improved precipitation method, in which lecithin formed vesicles and limited the crystal growing of HAP. After HAP powders being sintered at 500℃ and 700℃, the average size of HAP crystals is 10～20 nm and 50 nm respectively, much smaller than those prepared without lecithin (80～120 nm sintered at 700℃)by the same thermal treatment. This result has the relationship with the highly dispersed micro-environment of the lecithin-water system.
