Abstract:In order to print characters on hot bloom automatically,an automatic control system based on PLC S7-300 and smart positioning controller SPC200 was designed.Through digital I/O,PLC sent directions to SPC200,and the sprayer laterally moved to designated position by the intelligent cylinder.Then multilevel cylinder pushed the sprayer ahead in lengthwise direction,which was adjusted by electromagnetic valves.At last stroke electromagnetic valves were open or closed on appointed character.The application results show that this control system is featured by its cost effective,ease of operation,low inaccurate rate and printing fast.

Abstract:An attempt was made to apply A.I.technique in creating art patterns for printing on silk, cotton and other printed matters. The Computer Aided Creation of Art Pattern System which can swiftly deliver various nice art patterns has been implemented on a microcomputer. This system consists of two subsystems in cascade. The first subsystem is a pattern construction system which plans an art pattern and completes its construction in casual colours. It has knowledge base, pattern element base, reservoir of selected pattern works, pattern automatic generating program, learning program, filling program and frame side piecing up program etc. The second subsystem is a colour harmony system. It changes the colours of a created pattern in harmony and gets patterns with different features of colours and in various styles. This subsystem has two knowledge bases which store the respective sets of knowledge rules of HVC and RGB systems and have their respective coordinators. It also has the learning program.

Abstract:This paper analyses the form of hand-made Chinese paper cut-out.It decomposes them into different decorative patterns,constructs those patterns to form a paper cut-out pattern bank.During the creation process,the user picks up some patterns from the bank to fill the paper cut-out image,uses symmetric design,and changes pattern creation different paper cut-out image conveniently.Potential applications of the system include design of decorative pattern,electronic card,advertisement,game and animation.

Abstract:A computer-aided design system is developed for socks' color-matching and creative pattern design. This system is composed of three modules, i. e., the pattern input, composite color-matching, and output modules. By using the sock pattern base and the element model base as well as the color-matching design base, various color-matching and pattern designs may be generated and the personalized designing becomes possible.

Abstract:Shoe last is the solid form around which a shoe is molded. Development of CAD system for shoe last is the key solution to improve shoe last industry. This paper focuses on the key modeling technologies of shoe last CAD system. Firstly, based on Object-Oriented technology, the design model of shoe last is constructed. Secondly, the point based geometric model of shoe last is defined, the surface point data set after regular processing represent the design geometric and the surface model generated from the data set is used as result displaying and subsequent applications such as NC programming. Finally, the system model that denotes the framework of the whole CAD system is presented. With these three models, a practical shoe last CAD system is realized successfully.

Abstract:A pattern design system is proposed, to encourage average persons to design patterns on their apparel by themselves. The system firstly acquires video images, then constructs tiling, finally maps the tiling to some certain shape of apparel and displays it. This process is configured by users through GUI. The system allows generating patterns from everyday objects by simply shooting the objects. The interaction with the system was praised to be interesting. The generated patterns were multifarious and funny. The system also achieved WYSWYG-what you see is what you get. © 2010 IEEE.

Abstract:A design method and primary functions of pattern preparation system of computerized flat knitting machine are introduced. The system provides a formidable mapping system based on object-oriented and multi-document, so pattern becomes simple and flexible to be edited and displayed. In addition, the compiler has a novel method of compiling pattern data. Two pattern description files (PAT and CNT) are generated after compiled, which include all control information that computerized flat knitting machine needs. The system also provides a direct and friendly interface, through which user can accomplish pattern design quickly and conveniently.

Abstract:In the traditional jacquard CAD system,image can be processed only on one layer.In order to enhance the system ability of processing images and increase the efficiency of designing,this paper applies layer technique in jacquard CAD system,and vector map editing and mathematical morphology method fit for the jacquard CAD field are used at the same time.A jacquard CAD image processing system based on the layer technique is finally designed.The system is programmed in Delphi 7.System architecture,implementation principle of each module and core algorithm are introduced.Through the above methods,good effect is gained at last,which demonstrates that this technique has broad prospects for application.

Abstract:In this article, the authors establish a new method of developing weave simulation CAD system. Firstly, a mathematic model for yarn simulation is set up, which is based on light and shade effect generated by illumination. And then, after abstracting the surface layer information of woven fabric, the authors finally realize the weave simulation, with the floating principle fully considered. Besides, each functional module is designed to be relatively independent, which is helpful for updating system in the future.

Abstract: Human artists often do the design of art patterns manually. The designer first imagines the art patterns in his mind, and then draws them on paper or canvas. This process is repeated until the desirable art patterns are created. It is time consuming and the novelty of the resulting art patterns is limited to the human’s imagination, which is difficult to meet the requirements for a huge amount of art patterns in a manufacturing industry such as textile. This chapter will mainly discuss how to let the computer assist in the generation of the art patterns, including: (1) Art pattern creation by fractals. It is based on the principles of fractal geometry, and performs the numerical calculation by the iterative function system. The output of the numerical data are colored to generate the resultant art patterns. (2) Art pattern creation by shape grammars. Shape grammars specify a mechanism for selecting and performing recursive rules for shape computations. The computer handles the representation and computation of shapes, rules, and the presentation of correct design alternatives. This frees the designer to specify, explore, develop design languages in terms of the shape grammar, and select alternatives for the desirable art patterns. (3) Layout-based creation of art patterns. Three basic layout-based art pattern design methods are presented: (a) How to convert the graphical layout into the resulting art patterns in terms of the specified structure of craftwork. (b) How to create an aesthetic layout of an art pattern by the regular layout. (c) How to automatically/semi-automatically place the user specified graphical entities by a specific artistic style. (4) Knowledge-based creation of art patterns. The artificial intelligence techniques are employed to represent the design knowledge and aesthetic conventions of art patterns, and then generate the resultant art patterns by reasoning on them.

Abstract:Abstract With the development of computer technology, digital painting has become more and more mature, which makes the whole creative process of painting more convenient, efficient, and diversified. This paper first introduces the definition, development history, and application of digital painting. A computerized painting model is created using knowledge representation, and the basic unit of the painting model is described. The paintbrush consists of hair filaments, each of which has its color tone and strokes. The brush’s movements are a result of position, pressure, and color tone, while the picture is a collection of strokes. Geometric transformations such as translation, rotation, and scaling are applied to the geometric information describing the strokes. This approach enables the simulation of painting effects, including the creation of scratches, color diffusion effects, texture mapping, and mutations on the strokes. This paper’s model enhances the painting skills of art students in six dimensions, achieving an efficiency evaluation score of 93 and a quality evaluation score of 96 in the abstract painting style. This model meets the realistic requirements for the advancement of computer-aided painting technology in art creation at a high level.

Abstract:Object-oriented technology is used to study the CAD/CAM system of super CNC glass carve center in this paper. Based on a successful development of the CAD/CAM system on the OS of WINDOWS, Modular organization in the CAD/CAM system and the detail process of figure forming are presented. It has been proved that the developed CAD system of glass carve robot that is accurate and effectively , and is very successful by a great deal of practice.
