Abstract:Catalytic supercritical water oxidation process was used to treat imidacloprid wastewater containing high nitrogen and high organic matter concentration. The factors influencing catalytic denitrification as well as the loss rate of catalyst and acceptable heavy metal concentrations were investigated. The results showed that high temperature could significantly improve the nitrogen removal rate. When temperature was 550 ℃,the removal rate of TN was 99. 97% and the effluent TN concentration was only 3. 08 mg /L. CuSO4 acted as a better catalyst than Cu( NO3)2and MnSO4 for catalytic denitrification. When using CuSO4,copper ion was detected in all 14 effluent samples, and 6 of them exceeded the standards with the maximum loss rate of effluent copper ion as high as 2. 593 2 mg /s.
