Abstract:In the international linguistic history,the historical comparative linguistics(HCL)in nineteenth century wrote down a glorious chapter.In the development of HCL within one century,the HCL,surging forward with great momentum,with the sudden change in academic pattern made by the Young Grammarian in the latter half of the nineteenth century,uncovered a brand-newpage for linguistics.This text systematically studies theses on the profound influence of this pattern revolution.

Abstract:The development of the historical comparative linguistics (HCL) in the middle of Nineteenth century presented the diversified research patterns,the fringe ones of which were etymology,linguistic paleontology and classic philology,the main one of which was the naturalism school. The fringe patterns expanded the research realm of HCL,while the main pattern brought up and practiced the main principles of historical comparative methods.This text systematizes the main patterns of HCL and gives a deep reflection to it on the basis of the exploration of historical function of every pattern.

Abstract:The criminal reconciliation plays a more and more important role in criminal justice field. Reforms involving criminal reconciliation are actively carried out in some places. However,it is hard to make some breakthrough in these reforms because of the shortage of basic philosophy research. Zhejiang "Fengqiao Experience" and U.S. VOR Model present both differences and common models in east and west of the world. Taking a serious look at both the similarities and differences between the two models,we need treat legal realism,restorative justice and communicative action theory objectively. Criminal justice should not become "passive" harmony and harmony justice should not be unrealistic "sky rose".

Abstract:Meng Wentong's study of Chinese ancient history has pushed forward the Movement consciously or unconsciously.His Gu Shi Zheng Wei proposes multi-analysis of Chinese ancient history,coincident with the view of Multidimensional Ancient History supported by the New Historiography ,has subverted the one unitary lineage of the Remote Antiquity,drawing great attention from academia of that time.However,as to the academic venation of Meng Wentong's study,it is not difficult to find that Gu Shi Zheng Wei is to assist Classical Studies.Through casting back the root of history of Rulers of Remote Antiquity,Meng Wentong puts forward multi-analysis of Chinese ancient history based on perspectives of geography,nation and culture,trying to reconstruct Chinese ancient history,to clarify relations between Historical Studies and Classical Studies,to testify the classics with the help of history,and eventually to illuminate the important role Classical Studies has played in Chinese culture.

Abstract:This paper presents methodology and trends of linguistic research in the era of big data.We begin with a discussion of the role of linguists in the information society and illustrate the opportunities and challenges linguists are currently facing.After highlighting the significance of authentic data on linguistic research,we argue that language is a complex adaptive system driven by humans.Then,from the perspective of philosophy of science,we introduce the research paradigm of quantitative linguistics through several cases.Finally,we discuss how China's linguistic research will benefit from the data-intensive approach in terms of scientification and internationalization.

Abstract:The advent of the new millenniums witnesses dynamic changes in scientific community. Disciplinary combination and division have been more frequently observed in different fields of academic pursuit. Facing a situation like this, it is believed that a study of the relationships between the twin sciences (sociolinguistics and applied linguistics) not only promotes a more pragmatic philosophy in linguistic research but also highlights major teaching problems and encourages innovation in quality teaching on the part of Chinese EFL instructors. This paper reports on such a study, which is delineated in 6 parts. The first part relates the research focus to theoretical and practical considerations. The second part provides a diachronic survey of the two sciences. The ensuing two parts discuss the subject features and theoretical issues of the two disciplines, respectively. Problems concerning this interdisciplinary endeavor are identified and dealt with in the fifth part. Finally, the paper concludes with an emphasis on the significance of this research.

Abstract:The claim that contemporary philosophy must be multicultural to be taken seriously may appear somewhat controversial. Nevertheless, the need to reevaluate classical Anglo-European philosophy in the context of the emerging contemporary philosophical canon is of great importance for a full understanding of the discipline today. Vital issues in philosophy cannot be addressed without recourse to conventions of intercultural philosophy. Comparative philosophy is among the most fruitful disciplines on a global scale. But to extend the philosophical curriculum, a new kind of discourse must allow for the accessible introduction of new ideas. This article presents an analysis of scholarly works on Chinese cultural works in literal and metaphorical translation/transmission for Western readers that have been undertaken by David Hall, Roger Ames and François Jullien, and will address the problematical nature of research within comparative studies in philosophy.
