EFFECT OF DELTAMETHRIN ON THE BINDING PROPERTY OF METABOTROPIC GLUTAMATE RECEPTOR IN RAT BRAIN

Abstract:The objective of the study was to explore the effect of deltamethrin(DM) on the metabotropic glutamate receptor(mGluR) of rat brain to make further understanding of the excitatory neurotoxicity of DM.The result showed the specific binding of glutamate to mGluR in postsynaptic membrane in cerebral cortex and hippocampus were increased by DM with the dose of 2×10 -8 ～2×10 -4 mol/L and 2×10 -12 ～2×10 -4 mol/L respectively.Compared with the control,the bindings were significantly enhanced 2×10 -6 ～2×10 -4 mol/L and under the dose of by DM 2×10 -10 ～2×10 -4 mol/L.The in vitro result indicated that the affinity of mGluR to Glu could be raised directly by DM.
