Abstract:Objective: To observe the histological effect of melatonin onprostate and testis in morphine withdrawal mice. Method: A physical dependent model in mice was established by subcutaneous injection of morphine. The histological changes in prostate and testis were observed with microscope. Result: The prostate and testis in morphine dependent mice were atrophied. A multiplication of prostate could be observed in natural morphine withdrawal mice and multiplication of prostate and testis could be inhibited by melatonin. Conclusion: The multiplication of prostate in morphine withdrawal mice could be inhibited by melatonin .
