Abstract:Cloud imagery obtained by geostationary satellites plays an important role in the meteorological research."Software of Geostationary Satellite Image Processing" on Windows can implement the research with great efficiency and speed.Due to the geostationary satellites updated,the old "Software of Geostationary Satellite Image Processing" cannot read the data observed by the new satellites.In this paper,the new data interface and functions of this software are introduced.The new data that can be processed by this software include multi-types of satellite data transferred by 9210 communication project,"GPF(Geostationary-satellite Project File)" files,"HDF5" files,GMS-5,GOES-9 and MTSAT-1R data stored in Peking University.The new functions are as follows:animation of satellite images,channel switch,objective analysis and diagnosis for conventional data,contour maps,streamline maps,grid vector maps,display of enhanced satellite images,calculation between two channels,TBB/albedo contour maps,statistics of TBB,and conversion of the different format satellite files.

Abstract:This paper focuses on the solution software of GPS baseline vector for HD-STGPS, and introduces the designing idea and characterisitics of the software. Some applications about GPS surveying of moving stations, setting of branch station and checking surveying by Totalstation are also described briefly.

Abstract:The portable track detecting instrument facilitates effective inspection of track smoothness. The speed measuring module is an important component of the system. The present way of measuring speeds has serious defects, such as that the positioning mistake is too large. To solve this problem, a new type track-detecting instrument using the Global Positioning System is studied. The paper discusses the hardware and software designs of the new system,and the key technologies of using the GPS, and also experimental analysis. The new system improves the accuracy of failure-point positioning. It helps to find the failure points more quickly and accurately, thus increasing the efficiency of maintenance.

Abstract:A scheme of embedded IP gateway based on SOPC is proposed for wideband satellite data communication.HDLC(High-level Data Link Control Procedures)is one of the most widely used Data-Link layer protocols in satellite data communication system.A high-speed HDLC IP CORE is designed and implemented on a single chip and an embedded linux software environment is set up.Compared to common scheme,this scheme is more flexible and efficient.The throughput of this scheme is also higher.The design idea,key point and the structure of both hardware and software of the proposed scheme is presented.A prototype of this scheme is given and it is proved that this prototype has high performance.

Abstract:This paper focuses on the real time coordinates transformation of HD-STG-PS. The characteristic of HD-STGPS is that GPS and TPS are combined together through software running at palm computer (or notebook computer)and block hardware. The 3D Cartesian coordinates of rover are obtained by GPS, then they are transferred to plane rectangular coordinates and quasi-normal height in local reference system. Rover position-ing and detail surveying could be done without any break.

Abstract:This paper focuses on the total aim and research idea of HD-STGPS(Huada super totalstation GPS) and its function character.The related coordinate transformation and GPS service for surveying are discussed.A new surveying mode called Positioning and Instance Detail Surveying without dense control is put forward.This is a great improvement to the traditional large scale detail surveying mode.By this method,we just set up a control network consisting of a few points.The point in this control network will be used as the reference station for GPS.The heavy surveying work of setting up dense control network consisting of many points is exempted.The maintenance work of control points is also greatly reduced as the number of the control points needed is only for the purpose of reference station.This paper emphasizes on how to transfer the WGS84 Cartesian coordinates to the local 2D plane coordinates and the orthometric height by a series of mathematical models.The GPS receiver,totalstation,radio,notebook computer and the corresponding software work together to form the new surveying system.All the data is manipulated through software via interface.The GPS raw measurements at the reference station are broadcast to the rover.The rover consists of a GPS receiver,totalstation,radio and a computer.The raw measurements of the rover are also transmitted to the computer.Then the GPS baseline is solved and the coordinates of the rover are calculated and transferred to local coordinate system.The Totalstation will communicate with the computer and utilize the coordinates got by GPS immediately.For other detail points with bad sky view situations,the signal from the GPS satellite is severely interrupted by buildings or other obstacles around the station,and can not be located by GPS.But they can be measured by Totalstation.STGPS will fully use GPS and Totalstation.If a public GPS service network has been set up in an area,then these points can be used as reference points of the STGPS.With the rapid development of GPS technology,many cities will set up a group of multi_function GPS service stations,which will be very helpful for STGPS.

Abstract:Conventional GIS system can't express the complicated relations between objects.In order to solve this problem,the GIS data model is studied,then a geographic object data model is given in express highway based on the OpenGIS geometry data model,and at last the express-highway-GIS-T-system based on the object data model is implemented to enhance the capability of data representation in conventional GIS system.After that,a further extended GIS_T system is presented to users: Highway mangers who view that the system is according to the management criterion in the express highway,developers who view that the system is complete object-oriented,map operators who view that the system represents the real world.

Abstract:With the co-efforts from Zhejiang University,Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Xidian Universi-ty,a transmission scheme of the Advanced Digital Television Broadcasting System(ADTB)is presented in this paper.The simulated system functions and performance are superior to that of international DTV transmission standards.A stable fixed,portable and even mobile reception of large volume broadcasting data can be attained with a consumer grade tuner and various modulation modes.The scheme is also designed to support SFN and on-channel repeater functions,to incorporate efficient digital cable transmission modes,and to be easily compatible with some foreign standards.The presented scheme is one of the ideal candidates of DTV broadcasting standards being defined in our country.[

Abstract:In this paper, we propose FHSTCP (Fair High-Speed TCP) as an improvement of HSTCP, which adds a fair factor to eliminate the difference of congestion window caused by different RTT and adopts block-pacing to reduce the burstiness. Simulation results show that FHSTCP can alleviate the RTT unfairness meanwhile keeping advantages of HSTCP.

Abstract:Terrestrial communication networks have experienced significant development in recent years by providing emerging services for ground users. However, one critical challenge raised is to provide full coverage (especially in dense high-rise urban environments) for ground users due to scarce network resources and limited coverage. To meet this challenge, we propose a high altitude platform (HAP)-reserved ground-air-space (GAS) transmission scheme, which combines with the ground-to-space (G2S) transmission scheme to strengthen the terrestrial communication and save the transmission power. To integrate the two transmission schemes, we propose a transmission control strategy. Wherein, the ground user decides its transmission scheme, i.e., switches between the GAS link transmission and the G2S link transmission with a probability. We then maximize the overall throughput and derive the optimal probability that a ground user adopts the GAS transmission scheme. Numerical results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed transmission control strategy.

Abstract:The new system radar in which many stations cooperate with each other requires higher and higher data transmission speed,to farther and farther distance.The application of SDH and WDM technology to distributed radar communication system is discussed in this paper.A general scheme of radar communication system and the principle of transmitting and receiving data are studied.This system adopts modularized design,so it is easy to service and extend.It complies with ITU-T standard,therefore it is convenient to be connected with public communication network when needed,and makes it possible to form a radar system network.

Abstract:As temperature is one of the main factors which affect food spoilage,it is of great significance to monitor the real-time temperature of food during transportation,such as export aquatic products,vegetables and so on. This paper applies the GPRS technology to wireless data transmission system of food temperature and designs the data monitoring centre. With this method,the real-time temperature of food in mobile vehicle is achieved and monitored remotely,which will ensure the quality and safety of food. Test results show that data transmission of this system is real-time,stable and reliable.

Abstract:The structure of area stability control device inner data transmission is introduced in this paper. From the point of view of each transmission cache, some methods aimed to improve the reliability of data transmission are put forward, including improved program design for dual port RAM in GPS interface module, the application of FIFO in analog data sampling module, implementation of logic control and CRC error checking using CPLD, and the communication protocol design for the application layer of ARCnet. Not only simple and easy to implement these methods are, but practical. Furthermore, theory analysis and pertinent experiments show that the high reliability of data transmission can be efficiently enhanced in such way.

Abstract:The High Altitude Stratospheric Platform (HAPS) is a candidate of post-3G (4G or 5G) wireless communication systems, aiming at creating a new broadcast and communications integrated infrastructure. To provide higher data rate and QoS guarantee to mobile multimedia users, we propose an ATM-based broadband wireless communication system. In order to show the feasibility and investigate the key issues of such an ATM-based HAPS, we have also developed a demonstration system based on a 15m X 4.3m remote-controlled airship. By installing a remote-controlled video camera, a wireless HUB, and a transmitter of digital TV in this airship, we demonstrate a broadband integrated information system which includes (1) remote sensing of the ground, (2) broadband wireless Internet access, and (3) mobile multimedia communication with QoS control. Throughout the demonstration, we mainly investigated the performance improvement by two ATM-based scheduling schemes POSTMAN and MT-WFQS.

Abstract:It practically is straightforward to achieve a GPS/GIS integrated system technically. But how to improve the efficiency of software development is another problem to be solved. Generality and variation existing in the system is captured through analyzing GPS/GIS integrated system. Based on the analysis results, the GPS data communication is decomposed, and the component-based integration implementation is raised. The implementation is more flexible and more convenient to control the change of system, and supports reuse of the software.

Abstract:To reduce the dependence on the high-precision time service provided by the GPS,it is desirable for our country to establish a low-cost and high-precision time service system of independent intellectual property rights.In this paper,we present a new method of satellite time service achieved through the broadcasting of a communication satellite and using a high-stability ground-based atomic clock as the time-frequency reference.We study the theory and measurement of multiple-satellite and single-satellite time services with the navigation constellations constituted by high-stability ground-based atomic clocks and communication satellites.We particularly analyzed factors affecting time accuracy in these two types of methods.Because of the high stability of the time-frequency source our proposed forwarding approach of satellite time service can have improved ranging accuracy.As long as the systematic error of time delay is precisely corrected,highly accurate time service can be achieved with our approach as well: Time accuracy with the coarse acquisition code can be within 20 ns and that with the fine short code is about 10 ns.In short our proposed system has the advantages of flexibility,convenience,and broad applications.
