Monitoring of the Amount of Pig Manure and Urine in Different Swineries

Abstract:Exactly monitoring the amount of livestock manure is the base of its effective utilization.To investigate the amount and characteristics of livestock manure,the amount of pig manure,nutrient content,the amount of pig manure nutrient,etc.of different swineries in different seasons on large-scale pig farms were monitored.Experimental results showed that all the amount of pig manure,the nutrient content and the nutrient amount in pig manure among all the swineries were significantly different.The excretion amount and the excreted nutrient amount of boar were significantly greater than other swineriers.The excretion amount and the excreted nutrient amount of suckling piglet were significantly less than other swineriers.The average daily feces amount per pig per day was 0.88-2.53 kg and the average urine amount per pig was 1.45-8.32 kg.The average daily amounts of excreted nutrient nitrogen,phosphorus,and potassium per pig were 12.43-42.49 g,4.39-18.00 g,5.65-16.54 g,respectively.The contents of nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium and organic substance in pig feces were 24.20-42.33 g/kg,15.39-20.73 g/kg,8.34-13.20 g/kg and 49.91%-65.13%,respectively.The contents of ammonium nitrogen,nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium in pig urine were 1.62-2.12 g/L,1.88-2.57 g/L,0.35-0.53 g/L and 1.14-1.43 g/L,respectively.For all swineries,in the urine over 70% of the total nitrogen content was ammonium nitrogen,and the excretion of phosphorus was the highest in winter.
