Abstract:With the gradual increasing of the transmission voltage level, the situation of interference on secondary side equipment in smart substations is becoming more serious. The authors tested the interference waveforms caused by the circuit breaker’s operation at the smart substation, which showed the severity of the electromagnetic (EM) environment. This paper takes the electronic current transformer acquisition card as an example. The influence of EM interference sources on the reliability of the acquisition card is analyzed. Then, standardized electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) immunity tests of the international electrotechnical commission (IEC) for different interferences are implemented. Typical output characteristics of acquisition cards for different tests are analyzed. Innovatively, this paper proposes a quantitative evaluation method of output waveform disturbance to evaluate the acquisition card’s performance. This disturbance distortion is of great significance to the EM environment estimation of the acquisition card.

Abstract:In this article, we present the system development of Virtual EMC Lab (“Virtual Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory”). It is a toolkit developed for the electronic and electric product/system design, modelling, simulation, analysis, diagnosis and assessment tailored to the electromagnetic compatibility problems. The toolkit includes a solid modelling front-end which simplifies the geometrical structure of equipment under test (EUT), analytical and numerical solvers for different applications, and visualization tools. It is dedicated to solve electromagnetic interference, immunity and emission problems in board level and system level.

Abstract:A system for electromagnetic interference (EMI) pre-measuring is developed to meet the demand of EMI pre-measuring.The system uses an ordinary spectrum analyzer to replace the special EMI receiver,so its cost is decreased sharply.The structure of spectrum analyzer and EMI receiver is discussed deeply and as a result a spectrum analyzer can be used in the pre-measuring system in theory.At last,a comparing test is carried out to demonstrate the system.

Abstract:Ideal shielding object is a closed metal object which is no aperture and no permeation. The leak of aperture is the main reason which affects the shielding effect. Therefore, the structure design of electronic equipment will directly affect its shielding effect. Abstract:We have designed a testing equipment to detect the mobile phone electromagnetic interference. We also have compared the sensitivity of our testing equipment with other two testing systems. Measurement results demonstrate that our mobile phone EMC testing equipment has a high sensitivity up to -125 dBm in the natural environment.

Abstract:The development and test of electro-magnetic compatibility ( EMC) for nuclear power have been researched. Relevant effective and reasonable measures of AP1000 electromagnetic compatibility tests are given. At present, since the nuclear power industry is developing rapidly, the demand for high quality of various I&C is continuously upgraded, especially it is necessary for localization of such products. EMC is an important index to evaluate the instrumentation and control equipment, while the environment in which these instruments and control systems are working does exist various kinds of electromagnetic phenomena, thus EMC shall be paid attention to improve safety of nuclear power industry and make faster development of it.

Abstract:The electromagnetic environment of the water quality testing terminal system was firstly analyzed so as to figure out the interference source and the transmission routes;And then, the comprehensive electromagnetic compatibility was designed for the terminal system;Finally, through the standard and reasonable electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test, the reliability of the EMC system was ensured so as to guarantee the integrity and accuracy of the water quality testing of the terminal system.

Abstract:System-level Electromagnetic Compatibility(EMC)problems must be encountered in the life cycle of information equipments.If it can not be solved correctly,a lots of development outlay will be wasted.Sometimes,the information equipments will be useless.In this paper,based on review and perspective of system-level EMC technologies,novel methods named"top-down,systemic,EMC quantificational pre-design"and"behavioral level simulation of systcm-lcvel EMC"are presented and commended for aircraft EMC design.The perfect system EMC performance can be achieved by evaluating EMC performance,distributing the EMC parameters quantificationally,optimizing design time after time.In addition,the system EMC performance can be analyzed along with the change of subsystem parameters.The subsystem parameters can be adjusted to meet the system EMC performance as well.The potential EMC problems can be exposed at the stage of design and resolved before the design is finalized.Meanwhile,system-level EMC test technologies are prospected.

Abstract:The EMC scanner described in this paper is an effective device for the electromagnetic near-field test.In this paper,a new EMC scanner is designed and implemented according to market demand and also for the research gaps in China.The scanner can be used to test PCB boards,cables and other equipment with global scope,partial scope or adaptive scanning.And the result can be displayed in the form of three-dimensional graphic.In this paper,an adaptive EMC scanning principal is proposed to overcome the shortcomings of existing products,and the adjustable scanning technology solutions with adaptive step length are designed and implemented to achieve the saving scanning time,improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Abstract:A novel method named "top-down, systemic, quantificational pre-design" is investigated to resolve the disadvantages of the traditional electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) design method on electronic warfare (EW) weapons and equipment. As design scheme of EW weapons and equipment is conceived, systemic energy-transmission models and interference relationship matrices are devised. Then the security of receivers and other receptors is analyzed with the method of numerical simulation, behavioral simulation, equivalent calculation, statistics of datum, etc. The perfect system EMC performance can be achieved by evaluating EMC performance, distributing the EMC parameters quantification ally, optimizing design time after time. Additionally, the system EMC performance can be analyzed along with the change of subsystem parameters. The subsystem parameters can be adjusted to meet the system EMC performance as well. The potential EMC problems can be exposed at the stage of design and resolved before the design is finalized. It has been applied in EMC design on a number of EW weapons and equipment with a high success rate, and offered important technical support for resolving the acute EMC problems in research and development of models.
