Abstract:The main functions and features of the intelligent analysis and decision support system of Zhejiang Power Grid were introduced.This system supports the import and export of BPA、CIM、PSASP、PSSE files.It separately manages the versions of power grid structure,load and output,maintenance plan,and then forms various kinds of operation modes trough mergence.After that,this system can do power flow calculation,short-circuit calculation,transient calculation,and also can analyze the security and stability of the power grid's operation through the static voltage stability analysis,calculation of the transmission interface's thermal capability,security check and so on.The details of calculation and analysis are showed by tree reports,prompts、warnings and aid strategy are given to guide the security operation of the power grid.

Abstract:As a popular virtual globe program,Google Earth(GE) can display the power system geography information system(GIS) information expediently and intuitively.Aiming at the power system GIS construction based on GE,the features of GE and its advantages used in power GIS were introduced.Based on the problem of the KML supported by GE,the power system GIS data was converted to KML format.The results indicate that it can achieve the power system GIS,power controlling information,as well as visual display of network planning information based on GE.

Abstract:This paper introduces the major focus for the service-oriented provincial-centralized transmission-distribution-integrated GIS platform, its architecture, application deployment and key technology. Based on versioned power system model and graphics repository on Oracle, independent from third-party GIS software, the system provides spatial information application server of real-time performance, network builder and WebGIS control component. For optimal performance, the database storage has been optimized and smart incremental client cache has been implemented.

Abstract:Based on IEC 61970/IEC 61968 standards,this paper presents power a design principle to construct a common distribution management system(DMS) communication platform in Hangzhou Electric Bureau.Utilizing the powerful platform,the DMS can interconnect with EMS,transformer terminal utility system(TTU) and energy system easily.Furthermore,the common platform can discouple the DMS data and external system data.Meanwhile,the platform can process many kinds of external systems data using standard protocol,which gets the information more controllable.

Abstract:Abstract In view of the inaccuracy and completeness of the distribution network system diagram in the current power grid, the power network structure and the business characteristics of the power industry are investigated and analyzed. The relationship model between substations is analyzed, and the inheritance circuit layout design idea is applied to the distribution. In the grid system topology diagram. The paper proposes a method of dividing the power supply area according to the line contact relationship, and develops an equal density constrained space layout algorithm. Make full use of the distribution network geographic information (GIS) drawings, carry out the power grid topology and line information maintenance, so that the system diagram covers all electrical equipment on the GIS, and can carry out the original electrical topological relationship of the gemstones, and realize the absence of each subsystem. The seams provide image support for a variety of applications. The experimental results show that the proposed spatial topology algorithm is efficient and easy to implement.
Implementation of Graphical Browsing Service of Geographic Information System Platform in Transmission and Distribution Network

Abstract:Two main ways of creating a grid geographic information system (GIS) are described, i.e., the instant query method based on structured query language (SQL) database and the static publishing method based on slicing.The performance bottleneck and function limitations of the two ways in grid application are compared.The memory database oriented to device object is designed and developed.By using the partition and the paging storage technologies, the province wide graphic and pattern data on "transmission, substation, distribution and low voltage" are cached in the GIS application server.The spatial index is created, and incrementally updated with the network version iteration for highly efficient caching and indexing of a large-scale power grid model.Then the implementation method of graphics browser subsystem of provincial centralized power grid GIS platform using the technology is described.The GIS application server provides vector graphics WebService, and the B/S client carries out dynamic graphics rendering.Finally, in a pressure test of an actual online system, each server of the system developed processes more than 1 000 times of dynamic graphics browsing services per second in the tens of millions of grid equipment scale, and each service processing time is less than 0.1 s.

Abstract:Facing the current situation and problems of the widespread power distribution networks in small and medium-sized cities and country sides,for meeting their requirements,an integrated system with intelligent monitoring,management and remote metering is developed.T his system consists of main distribution station,s ubstations,t erminals of distribution,communication system,etc.At first,t he networking structure of the system is introduced.T he functions and characteristics of different components are described in detail.The main distribution station has integrated the comprehensive functions of power distribution SCADA,d istribution management,d evice management,remote metering,fault diagnosis,fault alarming,power distribution GIS,e tc.I t has been successfully operated in field and is easy to manage.I t can also save investment for user.The practice has proved that it can improve the operation and management level and automation level of the power distribution company,can heighten the service quality and obviously raise the economic benefit and social benefits.

Abstract:Geographic information system technology is developed rapidly in the field of electric power production management, including huge data of power equipment and facilities, user data and planning data, showing a certain space and complexity from power generation, transmission, distribution to electricity consumption. Applying the potential advantages of geographic information system technology to the management of power system can organically combine the map, image and attribute data in the power grid management system, thus greatly improving the quality of power and reliability of power supply. This paper emphatically elaborates information integration technology based on the ESB. Applying the spatial data of the power grid GIS platform to the business planning of production management system can not only integrate or inherit the existing power system applications, but also facilitate the expansion of new business system functions, which has good dynamic scalability, realizes the automation and informatization of power grid production management, and provides strong support for the self-healing and reliability of power grid.

Abstract:Numerous underlying causes of power-quality (PQ) disturbances have enhanced the application of situational awareness to power systems. This application provides an optimal overall response for contingencies. With measurement data acquired by a multi-source PQ monitoring system, we propose an interactive visualization tool for PQ disturbance data based on a geographic information system (GIS). This tool demonstrates the spatio–temporal distribution of the PQ disturbance events and the cross-correlation between PQ records and environmental factors, leveraging Getis statistics and random matrix theory. A methodology based on entity matching is also introduced to analyze the underlying causes of PQ disturbance events. Based on real-world data obtained from an actual power system, offline and online PQ data visualization scenarios are provided to verify the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed framework.

Abstract:The transmission network data stored in the energy management system (EMS) can be utilized. A transmission network planning analysis system based on EMS is proposed, which provides a multi-graphic views support platform of integration of graph, model and database based on IEC 61970 standards. In this system, a planning transmission network model based on the network model, dynamic graphic and database of on-line EMS can be expanded easily, and the function of security verification and economic analysis are also implemented fully and practically for planning network. The system architecture, main functions, support platform and some key techniques are described in detail. The system proposed has been put into real practice in Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau and proved practical.

Abstract:Traditional power network planning mainly depends on the history development of a certain area and the experience of the planners.A new generation of GIS-based decision-making support system for power network planning is presented in order to overcome the limitation and deficiency of traditional power network planning.Due to its advanced planning theory and methods,GIS-based technology and powerful interfaces with other basic databases of power system,the introduced system has the characteristics of advanced technology,high intelligence,practicality and flexibility.Furthermore,the system has been successfully implemented in power system planning of Guangzhou Electric Power Bureau.The results verify that the introduced system can not only improve the scientificity,practicality and speediness of power network planning effectively,but also provide visualization platform for management and decision-making of power network planning.

Abstract:The traditional campus information management system lacks compact relation and united management between spatial data and attributive data,and can not meet the needs school digitized planning and management.On the base of analysis of the campus geographical information system model,functions and characteristics,the campus geographical information system was designed to manage effectively both the spatial data and the attributive data on campus under the VB visual development environment with MapX control components.Finally,taking the Jiangpu campus of Nanjing University of Technology as an example,the main functions including map control,management of multimedia data,map search and so on have been developed.

Abstract:As smart grid has been under rapid construction in China, this paper proposes an interactive information system according to the interaction feature of smart grid. End users are able to exchange electricity usage information with power utilities by using this system. Structures and functions of this system are demonstrated first. Smart meter plays a key role in the whole system and it is connected with other parts of the system by GPRS and serial communicating paths. Subsystems both of grid side and users side are designed in details. Information of real-time pricing(RTP) and load forecasting is applied to motivate users to participate the operation of the grid actively so that energy resources could be optimized and finally goals of economical and high-efficient using of energy can be achieved.

Abstract:The management efficiency of traditional electricity anti -theft methods is relatively low. GIS has the capability to manage mass spatial data efficiently and if combined with power system to form the Electric power GIS (EGIS ), it will greatly improve the production efficiency , management quality and scientific decision -making ability of power facilities . This paper applies GIS to electricity anti-theft and depicts the electricity equipment on the geographical base map , as well as uses the sensors on electricity equipment to implement dynamic monitoring and efficient management on electricity equipment and enhance the efficiency of electricity anti-theft , finally , retrieve the loss of electricity theft for power companies .

Abstract:By introducing the concept of open software into geographic information system (GIS), a visualized management platform for electricity market is designed and developed. Graphic modeling, in which the graphic symbols express the mathematical models of power facilities, is firstly realized. Then an automatic network topology analysis function based on the geographic background is designed. By selecting commercial database as the information channel for data exchanging between GIS and application software, the platform is efficiently improved in its flexibility and reliability. Any application software can control all the actions of the components on a GIS figure by simply reading and writing the control-table. It opens the door for GIS to exchange data with the third-party software so that it has prosperous prospect in technique support system for electricity market. 　　This project is supported by National Key Basic Research Special Fund of China (No. G1998020311).

Abstract:Combining the characteristics of the municipal power grid,this paper conducts a comprehensive evaluation on the power grid development from five dimensions including power grid safety and power quality,power grid development speed and scale,the coordination of the power grid,operation efficiency and economic benefit of the power grid.We also specify 46 evaluation indicators based on field research and data mining.Thus,this paper proposes a bilayer structure model to evaluation and diagnosis of grid development.Then multi-hierarchy order relation method and fuzzy comprehen-sive evaluation model are employed to empirical analysis of three sample cities.Finally,radar charts are acquired for ana-lyzing and diagnosing the development level of the power grid from three levels.The empirical results clearly point out problems existed in power grid and provide some policy implications for managers.
