Abstract:Rural planning and construction carries influential natural, economic, social and cultural connotation. The problem of rural features deficiency has prevailed in current Chinese rural planning and construction practice. Based on the problems revealed in rural planning and construction process in Zhejiang Province in China, the article presented a way of recognizing different rural landscape styles, and put forward guiding ideas and spatial strategies for the planning and construction of rural features, from the perspective of ecological system, production system, and living system (namely “EPL” system). Such research might provide guidance for the current construction of Chinese rural features.

Abstract:This paper investigates ways of deploying ecological principles in the planning and design practice of landscape architecture. As a modern profession, one of the central tasks of landscape architecture is of protecting and recovering our environment. The profession is now in the demand in China, because of China’s rapid urban development and the consequent environmental problems. A case study of the planning and design of the Li Lake area provides evidence of how the profession is carrying out such a task. The study also identifies the disconnection between ecological and cultural strategies for recovering a particular landscape.

Abstract:To introduce the ideas and methods of recycling economy into establishment of tourism system is a new direction for tourism development.When tourism resources are used and the tourism economy is developed,resources should be utilized effectively and recycle.On the other hand,waste should be reduced.Puzhehei scenic spot,which is located in Qiubei County of Yunnan Province,was a case of this study.Present situation of its tourism development was analyzed and ecological patten of this scenic spot in space was studied.Based on the results of landscape factors’ distribution and its fuction zoning,main headings to establish the systems of recycling tourism economy in Puzhehei were proposed.

Abstract:Based on the principles of Landscape Ecology,the courses of tourism planning were analyzed,the principles of landscape Ecology on tourism planning and the macroscopical and microcosmic application in the course of tourism planning was put forwarded,it pointed out that tourism planning bases on the principles of Landscape Ecology plans tourism landscapes and environmental landscapes in the region on the level of Landscape Ecology,and it is essentially a all-around planning that comprises Tourism,Landscape and Ecology,and the design of Patch-corridor-matrix mostly embodies the microcosmic application.And some discussion was made on the ways of tourism planning that is "planning in nature".

Abstract:Landscape ecology, resulted from the integration of modern Geography and Ecology, is discovering and broadening its application scope. Its application to ecotourism is now underway. On the basis of three kinds of definitions on ecotourism, this paper defines ecotourism from tourism planners and managers, tourists, and their integrated levels. We also emphasize its spatial and ecological meaning, and initially discover the application of landscape ecology to ecotourism. Landscape ecologic theory including structure and function, ecological holism and spatial heterogeneity, diversity and stability, and landscape change, can be one of the theoretical foundations of ecotourism planning and management.

Abstract:Landscape ecological planning here is addressed to the issues of landscape patterns,landscape ecological process and interactions between human activities and landscapes.Building on existing landscape ecology and ecological planning methods,we developed a method for landscape ecological planning by applying Ecological Service Value (ESV) and Landscape Fragmentation (LF) analysis.Using classified Landsat TM (May 20,2006) images,we quantified the regional ESV and LF for Lianyungang City.A spatial differentiation map of ESV and LF overlays was used to create a map of landscape ecological planning.Scenarios for landscape ecological planning were represented in 4 major functional zones for Lianyungang City,including optimized, emphasized,restricted and forbidden development zones.

Abstract:The relationship between Tandscape pattern and land-use spatial structure was closely related.The landscape ecological indices such as landscape diversity,landscape dominance,landscape evenness,landscape fragmentation were used to analyze the landscape pattern and land-use actuality of Shuixi Scenic Spot.Results showed that the diversity of land was high,woodland with high dominance and low fragmentation were protected well,while the void land and structural land were high fragmentation because of the frequent human disturbances,which impacted the landscape pattern in a certain extent.

Abstract:Landscape planning is clearly ecologically and socially relevant. Concern about sustainability between human and environment is now a driving paradigm for this professional. However, the explosion of the sustainable landscape in China is a very recent phenomenon. What is the sustainable landscape? How is this realized in practice? In this article, on the basis of the reviews of history and perplexities of Chinese landscape and nature analysis of sustainable landscape, the ecothinking model, an implemental tool for sustainable landscape, was developed, which applies ecothinking in vision, culture, conservation and development of site, and the process of public participation for a harmonious relationship between human and environment. And a case study of the south entrance of TongNiuling Scenic Area was carried out, in which the most optimum scenario was chosen from among three models according to the ecothinking model, to illustrate the construction of the ecothinking model and how to achieve a sustainable landscape.

Abstract:Modernized urban organization relies more on the foundation of ecological infrastructure (EI) with the planning objectives based more on synthetical benefits of economy, society and ecological environment. The effect of multiple factors ought to be taken into consideration in the urban scenic spot planning and and the process of formulating the related plan faces a challenge of how to organically bound environmental factors to tour function of urban scenic spot. This thesis, taking YunLong Lake, a scenic spot in XuZhou, JiangSu province as an example, studies how to ameliorate the planning of urban scenic spot combined with the ecological chain and reversed-planning theory. The result shows that utilizing the theory flexibly when analyzing the urban scenic spot planning design can ensure the existing ecological connection between each system and maintain the ecological stability of urban scenic spot. Thus, with the basis of ecological chain and reversed-planning theory, this paper puts forward a new planning concept and work flow, in order to provide new ideas for modernized urban scenic spot planning.
