Abstract:Objective: To explore the efficacy of two surgical procedure on heart ventricle aneurysm.Methods: We summarized 45 cases coronary heart disease with ventricle aneurysm which include 36 males and9 females form 2004. 3 to 2012. 9,average age is( 55. 1 + 6. 3) years. All the patients have undergone the coronary artery bypass graft operation and concomitant procedure involving 21 cases of linear repairmen,24 cases of endoventriculoplasty,1 case of mitral valvoplasty,2 cases of mitral replacement,12 cases of thrombectomy.Results: Postoperative left ventricular end diastolic diameter decreases while left ventricle ejection fraction increases compared with the preoperative data and The difference is statistically significant( P 0. 05). perioperative death in two cases due to severe low cardiac output syndrome. 38 cases were followed up for 3-6 months,follow-up rate is 84%,cardiac function was class I-II,no patient death during followed period. Conclusion:We should chose reasonable surgical approach According to the size and lesion extent of aneurysm,it is crucial event for success that take effective steps on myocardium protection.

Abstract:BACKGROUND:Left ventricular aneurysm (LVA) is a serious complication of myocardial infarction and reduces the chances of survival. Controversy still exists regarding the optimal surgical technique for LVA repair. We analyze the efficacy of two techniques, linear vs. endoventricular circular patch plasty, for repair of LVA and the efficacy of surgical ventricular restoration (SVR) on beating heart.METHODS:This study included 62 patients who underwent SVR from 1086 consecutive patients were subjected to coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) between 2000 and 2009. All selected patients were divided either into group liner or patch according to the choice of the repair technique depended on factors such as localization, size and dimension of the scar. The patients also were divided either into group beating heart or cardioplegia. The pre-, intra- and postoperative relevant data of all selected patients were analyzed.RESULTS:The mortality was not significantly different between linear and patch repair groups, also the actuarial survival rates within 24 months (p= 0.529). Postoperative echocardiographic findings showed significant improvements in left ventricular function in both groups. The beating heart technique reduced postoperative peak release by 27% for Cardiac troponin I (cTnI) compared with the cardioplegia group (0.46 ± 0.06 ng/mL versus 0.63 ± 0.09 ng/mL, p= 0.004), and increased the perioperative survival by 9% (97.2% versus 88.5%), but the actuarial survival rates were not significantly different between the groups from 2 to 24 months (p= 0.151).CONCLUSIONS:Both techniques (linear and patch) achieved good results with respect to mortality, functional status and survival. The choice of surgical technique should be adapted in each patient. The beating heart technique may to some extent relieve myocardial injury in patients undergoing SVR.

Abstract:Coverage of the left subclavian artery is often necessary to establish an adequate landing zone in patients undergoing thoracic endovascular aortic repair,which can avoids endoleaks that contribute the important aspect of technical success of thoracic endovascular aortic repair.However,there have been controversial whether the routine revascularization of left subclavian artery benefits in preventing the complications in perioperative,like cerebrovascular accident,and which approach of revascularization should be taken for more advantages.In this review,the disputes have been discussed between the routine revascularization and selective revascularization of left subclavian artery based on clinic research published in recent years,and also introduce the progress in open surgery and endovascular technique of left subclavian artery revascularization.
Diagnosis and surgical treatment of cardiac valve injury

Abstract:Objective To summarize the experience of diagnosis and surgical treatment of cardiac valve injury. Methods Clinical materials of heart valve injury in 4 cases were analyzed retrospectively. Results One case who presented rupture of anterior papillary muscle and tear of the anterior leaflet in mitral valve was cured with mitral valve replacement. In one case with aortic valve rupture, the aortic valve replacement was performed. Of two cases with tricuspid valve injury, one with dehiscence of anterior leaflet in tricuspid valve from the annulus was treated by valve repair with a patch of pericardial autograft plus a De Vega annuloplasty; the other with chordal disruption of septal leaflet in tricuspid valve and traumatic VSD was cured with a leaflet plication in the region of disruption plus a repair of VSD. The surgical results in all 4 cases proved to be quite satisfactory. Conclusions The cardiac valve replacement and repairshould be performed as early as possible and an excellent effect can be obtained.

Abstract:Since 1984, we have used a circular patch to reconstruct the left ventricle ("endoventricular circular plasty") in order to maintain a more physiologic cavity. This technique has three theoretical advantages over standard linear closure of the left ventricle (LV). First, it allows exclusion of the septal akinetic segment of the LV. Secondly, circular reorganization of the remaining LV muscle avoids the restraint caused by the linear suture closure and achieves a more physiologic LV cavity. Thirdly, circular plasty using the patch allows a complete resection of aneurysmal segments including resection of extensive subendocardial scar tissue, when appropriate, without critically compromising the cavity size. The technique involves the following steps: --Resection of dyskinetic or akinetic LV free wall and thrombectomy when indicated. --A dacron patch lined with pericardium is secured at the junction of the endocardial muscle and scarred tissue, thereby excluding non contractile portions of the LV and septum. --Myocardial revascularization is performed as indicated with particular attention paid to revascularizing the proximal left anterior descending segment. The group of patients forming this study includes 130 cases of LV reconstruction since 1984. The three main indications for surgery were angina (40%), cardiac failure (35%), arrhythmias (10%). There have been 8 hospital deaths, 4 late mortalities related to recurrence of cardiac failure in this group.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)

Abstract:Background Left ventricular pseudoaneurysm due to early left ventricle rupture is a serious complication after cardiac surgery. Urgent surgery is recommended in most cases with a high mortality rate. Conservative treatment of a left ventricular pseudoaneurysm due to early left ventricle rupture is very rare. Case presentation We present a 61-year-old woman with left ventricular pseudoaneurysm after mitral valve replacement due to early left ventricle rupture. This patient was treated in a conservative approach. This patient had an uneventful recovery. She was in good condition and remained asymptomatic 3.5 years after mitral valve surgery. Conclusion This case suggests that medical treatment left ventricular pseudoaneurysm patients has a limited but acceptable role in selected and unusual circumstances.

Abstract:Objective To improve therapeutic outcomes for severe left-sided atrioventricular valve regurgitation(LAVVR) after repair of atrioventricular septal defect(AVSD) through discussing pathological changes of the valve and surgical management for these patients,and summarizing the medical experiences of perioperative managements.Methods We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 29 patients including 16 males and 13 females with LAVVR after repair of AVSD treated in Xinhua Hospital,Medical College of Shanghai Jiaotong University between January 1995 and December 2009.The age of these patients ranged from 4 to 62 years,averaging at 26.5.According the classification of New York Heart Association(NYHA),there were 10 patients of class Ⅱ, 17 of class Ⅲ and 2 of class Ⅳ before reoperation.Partial repair of AVSD had been carried out for 18 patients,and complete repair had been performed on 11 patients.At reoperation,valve re-repair was performed on 17 patients and mechanical valve replacement(MVR) was necessary in 12 patients.Results In the early period after operation,one patient died of multiple organ failure,one patient had a permanent pacemaker inserted because of complete atrioventricular block,and 1 patient aged 4 years got recovery after 56 hours of circulatory support for severe cardiac failure after reoperation.A mean follow-up of 8.2 years(6 months to 14 years) was done for 25 patients with 3 missing.During the follow-up for 14 patients undergone heart valve repair,there was no obvious acceleration of the forward blood flow of the left-side atrioventricular valve.Ten patients had mild or less LAVVR,1 had moderate LAVVR and 3 underwent successful left atrioventricular valve replacement at 10 days,3 years or 6 years after reoperation because of severe LAVVR.Clinical status,as assessed by the NYHA classification,improved after surgery for LAVVR in 25 patients who were followed up with 17 in NYHA class Ⅰ,6 in class Ⅱ,and 2 in class Ⅲ.Podoid decreased significantly and cardio-thoracic ratio was 0.53-0.67(0.60±0.11) in chest X-ray picture.There was no late death.Conclusion With timely surgical treatment,and appropriate surgical method,LAVVR after complete or partial AVSD repair can be managed with excellent short-term and long-term outcomes.
Dor Procedure in the Surgical Treatment of Left Ventricular Aneurysm

Abstract:Objective The aim of this study is to review the experience of using Dor procedure treating the left ventricular an- eurysm.Methods Between Jan of 1999 and Feb of 2006,69 patients with left ventricular aneurysm comprised the study group.The cardiac function data was analyzed before and after operation.Results The operative mortality rate was 7.2 %.The late morality rate was 8.6%with 52.6 months follow-up,and 3 cases were(4.3%)lost.EF increased from 0.37±0.08 preoperatively to 0.47± 0.10 postoperatively(P0.01),while NYHA decreased from 3.19±0.69 to 1.71±1.07(P0.01).The volume of the left ventricular decreased markedly.Conclusion Dor procedure can effectively improve the cardiac function of the patients with left ven- tricular aneurysm.

Abstract:AIM: To discuss the surgical treatment of a or tic aneurysm including the diagnosis, indications,and surgical techniques,and c ardiopulmonary bypass methods with our operative experience of 57 cases aortic aneurysm.METHODS : Between May 1990 and May 2001,57 patients with aortic aneurysm wer e underwent aortic root replacement in our institution.Male were 46 and female 11,raining in age from 18 to 63.Of 43 cases belonged to DeBekey I dissection,and 3 cases DeBekey Ⅱdissection.The diameter of the aneurysms varide from 5 to 16 cm.Aortic root replacement was operated with composite vale graft in 53 cases,and other 4 cases of aortic valves were reserved.RESULTS: The operative mortality was 33%(6/ 18)from 5,1990 to 5,1998,yet the mortality decreased greatly to 3%(1/39) from 6, 1998 to 5,2001.All 5 cases died from bleeding except 2 cases.CONCLUSION: Aortic aneurysms are serious in the nature of their course,for they will eventually pro duce disability or their course,for they will eventually produce disability or death in many parients.Fortunately,effective surgical therapy is available for all of these conditions,as a result of immediate survival occurring in most of these cases.Therefor,if the diameter of the aneurysm is greater than 5 cm,the patient should be operated as soon as possible.

Abstract:Objective:Summary and analyze the clinical experiment and information of the thoracic aorta disease which we have treated 24 cases to define the operative indication and methods of the thoracic aneurysm and accumulate the succeed experience of the operation.Method:Using the thoracic midlian incision and hypothermia in extracorporeal cardiopulmonary,intubating through femoral artery or the bow of aorta and the superior /inferior caval vein,infusing the liquid which stop the cardiac muscle contracting through the outlet of coronary artery directly.Using the declivent incision and S incision orI incision in ascending aorta.There were 4 cases whose ascending aorta was replacede by the prosthetic vessel,enlarged the ring of aortic valve and replaced the aortic valve and made Aortoplasty in 3 cases,mitral valve 、aortic valve replacement and Aortoplasty in 7 cases;Bentall operation in 6 cases;mitral valve and Bentall operation in 1 case,Wheat operation in 1 case,coronary artery bypass grafting and Wheat operation 1 case,Bentall operation and the whole of descending aorta、both of Iliac Artery prosthetic vessel replacement 1 case.4 cases carried out the shunt from the root of aorta to Atrium dextrum because the bleeding is in a large amount during the operation.Result:24 cases patient,5 cases occured low out put post operation in early,1 case was surgeried secondly,1 case was death that the reason is low out put and bleeding post operation,the others were all cured.Followed up from tow month to six years after operation,1 case whose heart function is Ⅲ grade and 1 case died in advanced stage.Review the color ultrasound: without perivalvular leakage and endocarditis,the mechanical valve active well and the ascending aorta is smaller obviously than before operation(except artificial blood vessel).Conclusion:We must carry out the surgical treatment when the thoracic aorta diseases are diagnosised.It is helpful to change the function of heart,avoid the thoracic aorta rupturing and improve the patients' life quality to rolong life span.
Pathologic Anatomy and Surgical Treatment of Conoventricular Septal Defect

Abstract:Objective To analyze the pathologic anatomy and surgical treatment of conoventricular septal defect. Methods Retrospectively reviewed fifty patients with conoventricular septal defect patients treated from April 1999 to April 2005. Results 26 patients had a muscular postero-inferior border ,24 patients had fibrous continuity between the leaflets of the aortic and tricuspid valve. No stage III° AVB occurred. 2 patients were reoperated cause of residual VSD (0.4cm, 0.3cm) in antero-superior border. 11 patients had obviously outlet muscular hypertrophy bundles which was divided completely or partly. TEE at end of operation showed ad outlet muscular hypertrophy bundles and pressure gradient was 35 mmHg, 40mmHg respectively in two patients,so reoperation were performed. Complications included mild right ventricle outlet obstruction (5 cases).Moderate triscupid valve regurgation (1 case),mild (5 cases),trivial (1 case).Pericardial effusion (2 cases),bleeding (1 case). Conclusion Better understanding the anatomy of conoventricular septal defect may well improves the result of surgery.
Surgical ventricular restoration in treating ischemic heart failure

Abstract:Objective:To summarize our experience of surgical ventricular restoration in treating ischemic heart failure,and to evaluate the mid-term clinical results. Methods:From April 2004 to June 2007,17 patients with ischemic heart failure underwent surgical ventricular restoration surgery in our hospital. Among the patients,14 patients were male and 3 were female,with mean age of (64±12.1) years. Twelve patients had history of myocardial infarction,10 patients combined with ischemic mitral valve regurgitation,13 with left ventricular aneurysm,and 4 patients had left ventricular mural thrombi. Preoperative left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was (29.1±6.4)%. Five patients were in NYHA class Ⅱ,and 12 in class Ⅲ~Ⅳ. Surgical ventricular restoration was per-formed in all patients. Concomitant coronary artery bypass graft(CABG) was performed in 9 patients,and concomitant CABG+mitral valve plasty (MVP) was performed in 6 patients. Left ventricular mural thrombi were removed in 4 patients. All the surgical ventricular geometry restorations were completed in the condition of normo-thermal extracorporeal circulation,left heart venting ,aortic no clamping and beating heart technique. Dor technique (endoventricular circular patch plasty )was used in 13 patients,and modified linear suture technique was applied in 4 patients. All patients were followed up postoperatively by clinic visit or telephone interview. Results:There was 1 perioperative mortality. And 1 reexploration for bleeding. All the survivals were discharged without complications. Follow-up was available in all patients in (12.7±6.1)months. One patient expired of severe pulmonary infection 3 months after surgery. There were no cardiac-related events during the follow-up in all the other patients. The echocardiography data at follow-up showed LVEF was increased to (42.8±7.2)%. A significant improve in NYHA class was observed,class Ⅰ~Ⅱ in 9,and class Ⅲ in 6 patients(P0.05). Conclusion:Surgical ventricular restoration surgery is a safe modality in treating ischemic heart failure with satisfactory primary and mid-term clinical results. The long-term survival rate and heart function status in this patients group need further evaluation.

Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and cardiac function of patients undergoing simultaneous ventricular aneurysm resection without cardiopulmonary bypass and coronary artery bypass grafting. Methods From October 2016 to October 2018, 10 patients who received non-extracorporeal circulation heart bypass grafting during the same period of ventricular aneurysm resection were selected as the objects of observation, namely the CHD group with ventricular aneurysm. In the same period, 10 patients treated with coronary artery bypass grafting without cardiopulmonary bypass in our hospital were selected as the coronary artery bypass grafting group. The differences in operation time, postoperative ventilator use time, ICU stay time, hospitalization time and other aspects between the two groups were compared, and the differences in the levels of cardiac function related indicators before and after surgery in patients with coronary heart disease complicated with ventricular aneurysm were compared. Results The operation time of the observation group, postoperative ventilator use time, ICU stay time, and hospitalization time were (4.02±1.04) h, (18.02±1.42) h, (59.67±10.84) h, and (11.74±0.85) d, respectively. The operation time of the control group, postoperative ventilator use time, ICU stay time, and hospital stay were (4.33± 1.01) h, (17.66±1.47) h, (60.32±10.72) h, and (11.26±0.91) d, respectively. There was no significant difference between the two groups (P＞0.05). The left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of patients with coronary heart disease complicated with ventricular aneurysm after operation was (50.01 ±4.08)%, which was higher than (46.04±4.22)% before operation. But the left ventricular end diastolic volume level was (57.24 ±4.55) ml, which was significantly lower than before operation of (61.42 ±3.29) ml, the difference was statistically significant (all P＜0.05). Conclusion Non-cardiopulmonary bypass, coronary artery bypass grafting, and ventricular aneurysm resection can effectively improve the heart function of patients, and have certain clinical promotion value.
Surgical treatment experience of severe rheumatic valve disease combined with large left ventricle

Abstract:Objective:To summarize the clinical experience in surgical treatment of severe rheumatic valve disease with large left ventricle. Methods:The 35 patients suffering from severe rheumatic valve disease with large left ventricle (LVEDD>70mm, LVESD> 50mm, EF<0.5, FS<0.25) were undergoing valve replacement operation. Mitral replacement was performed in five, aortic valve replacement in four, mitral and aortic valve replacement in 26, meanwhile left atrium placation surgery in 12, and tricuspid valve annuloplasty in 21 patients.Results: The 34 patients were cured by valve replacement, one case died in early period after operation. After operation, cardiothoracic rate(C/T)[(0.6±0.08) vs. (0.8±0.03)]and LVEDd[(64.1±5.6) mm vs. (79±4.8) mm]significantly decreased (P<0.01 all), LVESd[(45±7.2) mm vs.( 58±7.0) mm]and LAD[(51±10) mm vs.( 63±12) mm]decreased as well (P<0.05 all) compared with before operation,. LVEF and LVFS did not significantly change between before and after operation (P>0.05 all). Followed up for 3 months to 5 years, Heart function (NYHA class) improved to 1 grade in 21 patients, 2 grade in 12 patients and 3 grade in two patients. Conclusion:An optimal operative opportunity, adequate preoperative preparation, satisfactory myocardial protection are key points for a successful surgical treatment of severe rheumatic valve disease with large left ventricle.

Abstract:Left ventricle pseudoaneurysm is a rare and life-threatening complication of myocardial infarction that is formed as a result of left ventricle free wall rupture contained by the overlying pericardium. Urgent surgical repair is crucial, and in most reports, left ventricle was reconstructed with a Dacron or bovine pericardial patch. We present a case of a 66-year-old female with left ventricle pseudoaneurysm which was successfully repaired with an extracellular matrix patch. Abstract:Left ventricular (LV) pseudoaneurysm is a rare and fatal complication of myocardial infarction that needs promptly surgical management. In the last years, 3D visualization of cardiac anatomy has reached high levels of detail for surgical planning, aiding surgeon to perform faster, sharper and more efficient operations. The case we present is an example of how powerful CT scan evaluation can be in the hand of a cardiac surgeon while planning a challenging procedure such as closing a wide tear at the base of the LV. In our video, direct 3D-heart-navigation is provided by a dedicated software (Acquarius I-intuition) where complex anatomical features are analyzed. The type of ventricular access, materials and patch dimension, spatial orientation of the patch itself to maintain LV chamber geometry and its anchoring suture lines are chosen based on CT images. The operation is then summarized throughout multiple intraventricular shots depicting the most important surgical steps.

A new surgical technique for post-myocardial infarction ventricular septal rupture with hemodynamic instability

Abstract:Ventricular septal rupture (VSR) is a rare but lethal complication of acute myocardial infarction (AMI).<a class="ejp-citation-link js-ejp-citation-link">[1]</a> Emergent repair surgery provides the only chance for survival for patients with VSR; however, the perioperative mortality rate remains extremely high at the early phase.<a class="ejp-citation-link js-ejp-citation-link">[2]</a> Elective surgery is widely utilized in real-world clinical practice and is associated with improved prognosis.<a class="ejp-citation-link js-ejp-citation-link">[3]</a> Nevertheless, the results of elective surgery might be a manifestation of survival bias, as it is usually performed in relatively stable patients with VSR who are expected to survive the early stage and have a better prognosis than patients complicated with hemodynamic instability in the early stage.<a class="ejp-citation-link js-ejp-citation-link">[4]</a> In this study, we aimed to present a novel surgical repair technique that can be safely, feasibly, and effectively used in hemodynamically unstable patients with VSR in the acute phase and to report the preliminary results.

Abstract:Coronary insufficiency caused by unruptured left sinus of Valsalva aneurysm (SVA) is exceedingly rare in the literature. Herein, we present a successful surgically treated case of giant left SVA with severe aortic regurgitation and coronary insufficiency, thus introducing a tailored valve-sparing aortic root repair technique.
The Surgical Treatment of Aortico-Left Ventricular Tunnel

Abstract:Aim:To report the experience of surgical treatment of four patients with aortico left ventricular tunnel(ALVT).Methods:Four patients(one male,three female),age ranged from 5 to 31 years old,underwent surgical correction of aortico left ventricular tunnel.The aortic end of tunnel in three patients located above the right aortic sinus and one patient above left aortic sinus.The associated anomalies included aortic valve insufficiency in three patients,ASD in one,pulmonary stenosis(ps) in one and left coronary artery right atrium fistula in one.The surgical procedures were patch closure of aortic end of the tunnel(one patient) or direct suture closure(three patients).AVR was performed in three patients.ASD,PS and left coronary artery right atrium fistula were simultaneously corrected.Results:There were no operative death and no postoperative complications.During follow up period(6～29months),there were no late death.NYHA heart function was improved to class I in all four patients.Postoperative echocardiographic examination showed that ALVT were well repaired.Conclusion:ALVT should be treated surgically once the diagnosis is established.
Surgical Treatment for Atrioventricular Valve Regurgitation in Patients with Single Ventricle

Abstract:Objective To summarize our surgical experience and evaluate therapeutic outcomes of atrioventricular valve regurgitation in patients with single ventricle.Methods The medical records of 61 consecutive patients with functional single ventricle who underwent surgical treatment in Xinhua Hospital,School of Medicine of Shanghai Jiaotong University from July 2006 to January 2012 were retrospectively reviewed.There were 36 males and 25 females with their age ranging from 2 months to 20 years and body weight of 2-58 kg.Dominant ventricle morphology was right in 41 patients,left in 13 patients and indeterminate in 7 patients.All the patients were divided into 3 groups according to the degree of valvular regurgitation:none/trace valvular regurgitation group(28 patients whose atrioventricular valve was not repaired),mild/moderate valvular regurgitation group(21 patients whose atrioventricular valve was not repaired),and severe valvular regurgitation group(12 patients who underwent concomitant valvuloplasty).Hospitalization and follow-up data of all the patients were collected.Long-term outcomes of atrioventricular valve regurgitation in the mild/moderate valvular regurgitation group and severe valvular regurgitation group were analyzed,as well as risk factors that affected atrioventricular valve regurgitation.Results There were 5 in-hospital deaths,and the overall hospital mortality was 8.2%(5/61).The valvular regurgitation degree of the severe valvular regurgitation group was significantly reduced after valvuloplasty(from preoperative 4.00 degree to postoperative 2.08 degree).Fifty-six patients were followed up for 6-38 months.Ten patients in the severe valvular regurgitation group were followed up,and 2 patients died during follow-up.Among the remaining 8 alive patients,there were 2 patients with severe valvular regurgitation,3 patients with moderate valvular regurgitation,2 patients with mild valvular regurgitation,and 1 patient with trace valvular regurgitation.The valvular regurgitation degree increased significantly during follow-up(from postoperative average 2.08 degree to average 2.75 degree during follow-up).Nineteen patients in the mild/moderate valvular regurgitation group were followed up with no death during follow-up.Among them,there were 3 patients whose valvular regurgitation degree increased to severe(postoperatively 1 patient with mild valvular regurgitation and 2 patients with moderate valvular regurgitation),and 3 patients whose postoperative mild valvular regurgitation increased to moderate valvular regurgitation during follow-up.The average valvular regurgitation degree increased from postoperative 2.33 degree to 2.58 degree during follow-up in this group.There was no statistical difference between the mild/moderate regurgitation group and none/trace regurgitation group in the increasing rate of valvular regurgitation during follow-up(the valvular regurgitation increasing rates were 31.5% and 19.2% respectively,χ 2 =0.36,P=0.55).Univariate analysis showed that heart function of patients whose valvular regurgitation increased during follow-up was significantly worse than that of patients whose valvular regurgitation did not change or decreased during follow-up(postoperative LVEF 53.11%±5.61% vs.59.65%±3.32%,t =-5.49,P=0.00),while the left ventricular end-diastolic volume of patients whose valvular regurgitation increased during follow-up was significantly larger than that of patients whose valvular regurgitation did not change or decreased during follow-up(t =2.58,P=0.01).Conclusions Short-term clinical outcomes of valvuloplasty for patients with severe atrioventricular valve regurgitation and single ventricle are satisfactory,but their valvular regurgitation may increase significantly with ventricular dilation and decreased heart function over time.Patients with mild/moderate valvular regurgitation may not receive concomitant atrioventricular valve repair,but valvular regurgitation of some patients is likely to increase,suggesting that more attentive postoperative follow-up is needed for them.
