Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems

Abstract:Computer Integrated manufacturing (CIM) technology of ceramic products is important for ceramic enterprises to enhance the development ability and manufacturing ability of products and to improve management. According to the characteristics of manufacturing processes of ceramic products, a kind of architecture of computer integrated manufacturing system of ceramic products is built. The key technologies are developed, including integrated technology of management information system of a ceramic enterprise, integrated technology of global computer aided design of ceramic products, digitization technology of mold manufacturing process of ceramic products, virtual product technology of ceramics and reverse engineering technology of ceramic products. As their application, the first demonstrated application engineering of CIMS in Chinese ceramics has been implemented in Chongqing Siu-Ceramics Co., Ltd.

Abstract:According to the characteristics of the PCB manufacturing industry, this paper proposes a general functional model and a systematic informational integrated model which is suitable for the PCB manufacture. This paper emphasizes manufacturability analyses system and the schedule optimization of the cluster driller system .It has been proved that this scheme is very effective and can provide a reference paradigm for the same kind of enterprises to implement their CIMS.

Abstract:The traditional CIMS reference architecture is not practically effective in the system analysis, design and implementation. The paper introduces a new CIMS application architecture consisting of three layers: data layer, logic layer and controlling layer, and specifies the composition and relationship of each layer in detail. Moreover, on the basis of the reference model,an instructive system analysis and design method is described, which has been proved to be successful in Qingshan Paper Mill' CIMS.

Abstract:ComputerIntegrated Construction (CIC) is proposed as a promising technology to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the A/E/C industry. CIC is currently a highpriority area of research and development in many countries. The feasibility of applying CIM concept to construction is discussed. Based on the CIC definition, an integration framework for ComputerIntegrated Construction system (CICS) is developed. Abstract:Object-oriented technology is used to study the CAD/CAM system of super CNC glass carve center in this paper. Based on a successful development of the CAD/CAM system on the OS of WINDOWS, Modular organization in the CAD/CAM system and the detail process of figure forming are presented. It has been proved that the developed CAD system of glass carve robot that is accurate and effectively , and is very successful by a great deal of practice.

Abstract:Today's enterprises are accepting network systems as a fundamental part of their information technology strategy. The constant growth in quantity and quality of network systems and arising problems concerning complexity, heterogeneity and distributed process require a normal design method and assistant tools. Based on research for design method of computer integrated manufacture system (CIMS) network and the performance evaluation assistant tools, this paper introduces an architecture used in the network management by means of domains. According to this idea, a design scheme for CIMS network has been developed which divides the procedure into four phases: goal-policies-plans-executing. It is effective for making policies and plans to combine the bottom up with the top down and optimize the networking scenario gradually.

Abstract:CIMS (Computer Integrated Manufacturing System) is a very complicated system, and there are a variety of distributed, autonomic, heterogeneous databases in integrated enterprises, hence it plays an important role in CIMS enterprise to integrate these heterogeneous information effectively. Based on the prototyped CIMS integrating platform named HIT-IIS which was developed in Harbin Institute of Technology, we design a scheme to extend the function of information server in HIT-IIS. This paper introduces the schema structure and Client/Server-based system architecture of Multi-database for CIM Integrated Platform, the concept and function structure of MDBI (Multi-database Integrator) are also proposed.

Abstract:Colloidal injection moulding of ceramics (CIMC) is a new ceramic forming technique, which combines the advantages of gel-casting and injection moulding. It can inject aplastic slurry into the mould. The equipment of CIMC was designed and produced. The results show that all kinds of fectors which effect solidification of slurry is studied and then we can control solidification course. Internal stress of green body is also studied and large-size ceramic component can be got by adding moderator. So high performance ceramics with complex shape is manufactured by CIMC technique with high reliability, high automation and low cost.
