Abstract:Having analyzed 3D parameterized design technique, a produce-level parameterized variant design method was presented based on CAD system, parametric thinking and hierarchical table in database. A parameterized variant design system based on SolidEdge was developed with SolidEdge, Access database and VB, which was to be the realization of this method. The method and system are successfully used in the parameterized variant design of a plastic injection machine.

Abstract:A CAD/CAE system for TR forging die for crankshaft was developed,which included the functions of forging design,billet design,die design,output of the drawings and the interface between CAD and CAE software.The development process and method of the system were introduced.The key development techniques include establishment of the parameterized part library,automatic generation of the drawings and simulation of the forming process.As an example,the whole design process of a crankshaft was carried out by the system and the billet dimensions were optimized by finite element simulation of the forging process,then the feasibility of the system was verified.

Abstract:The parametric model and the parametric drive mechanism of the mould board were established.The data share mechanism and calling mechanism between CAD and CAE programs were also discussed and implemented.An integrated design software-HTFXS1.0,based on the UG and ANSYS,was developed in the environment of VC++.Finally the module of parameterized CAD and the CAE programs were integrated,which was appiled to real mould board of HTF530 injection machine.

Abstract:FSA is a new generation of sheet metal forming simulation system; which is completely based on Pro/E Wildfire platform. FSA established the only, real-time corresponding relation between the modeling parameters and the control size of the design object, and achieved the parameterized modeling. This paper introduces： the design idea and characteristics of the FSA system, and discusses the assembly model tree design based on the ＂top basic skeleton＂, the realization of characteristic parameterization through Publish Geometry and the realization of the tool mesh parameterization relying on Pro/Toolkit interface function and the sheet mesh parameterization based on independent mesher. FSA system realized the seamless integration of CAD/CAE, avoided the data loss in precision in the process of transmission, can provide parameterized simulation in sheet metal stamping for the whole process, and provide a reliable, efficient and convenient analysis tool for design personnel.

Abstract:The functional structure and key techniques of the CAD system for the hammer forging mould based on SolidWorks software were introduced. Abstract:In this paper,the three-dimensional model contained foundry technical information is created by Pro/E software,and then the numerical simulation of solidification process is carried out based on MAGMAsoft,so that the verification and optimization of technical design can be achieved. According to the simulation results,the reasons of casting defects can be found,and by modifying the processing parameters,the process can be optimized and improved. Finally,a reasonable technology program can be brought forward.

Abstract:Increasing demands for premium quality, high productivity and cost-saving products provide powerful incentives to improve the way that die castings are made today. Research has shown that the fluid flow of the liquid metal and the temperature distribution of the dies and the die castings have a critical influence on the quality of the cast products, on the production rate and on the die life. In this present study, a CAD/CAE system for die casting has been developed. By using the CAD package, die designers can determine the location, the shape and the dimension of the runner and gating systems of die castings according to the characteristics of the die-casting machine, the geometry of the casting, and the properties of the alloy. After the design process, the CAE program is used to undertake the sophisticated calculations of the fluid flow and thermal analysis to check if there are some defects related to the filling and solidification processes. Through the interactive process of CAD/CAE, an ideal design can be provided with the best filling pattern and the optimal thermal condition for both the die and the die casting.

Abstract:The basic principle of multi-point forming,the process of finite element parametric modeling and the height calculation method of fundamental elements were presented.The finite element parametric modeling procedures inputing multi-point forming were development by ANSYS/APDL,parameters input interface was designed by using VC++.In numerical simulation of multi-point forming,different parameters can build different types of finite element models,which are parametric model.So it avoids a lot of verbose works for the finite element model building.With the program,finite element models of multi-point forming of the engine hood and car roof were established.

Abstract:Two difficulties exist in the finite element analysis of multi-point forming: the complicated modeling process and the difficulty to control the movement pattern of more punches simultaneously. In the present paper, the design process of parametric simulation program for multi-point die forming and force-displacement separated control forming by using ANSYS parametric design language (APDL) is described. The rapid modeling is realized by use of the parameter input dialog box. The calculation program for the original position of each punch is designed, and then the stroke of each punch is determined. The process of model definition, loading and analysis is controlled by customized multi-point forming toolbar. The parametric finite element analysis process for spherical surface forming with the force-displacement separated control forming method is described in the paper. The results indicate that the simulation requirements for different parameters and different forming modes can be satisfied by the designed parametric simulation program.

Abstract:The cage roll forming process of ERW(electric resistance welding) pipe is complicated,and the forming mill usually consists of hundreds of rolls.When changing product specifications,the roll position parameters always need to be changed,and sometimes some of the rolls have to be exchanged.The CAD modeling of the roll forming process plays an important role in the digitalization of the roll forming process.Key technology of parametric modeling of a roll forming process is studied in this paper.A fast CAD modeling platform is established based on UG secondary development.All the forming mills corresponding to different pipe specifications can be modeled in a short time by this platform,and the roll position parameters and roll shape parameters can be designed and updated in this system.The CAD system enables engineers to get better understanding of the forming mill,forming rules,and also acts as an effective tool for further process design of cage roll forming.

Abstract:Geometric modeling used in the dynamic stamping simulation of a die is discussed. Several modeling methods based on engineering drawings used often to construct 3D surface models of an autobody panel in stamping simulation are also discussed. Based on this discussion, a front-door model of a car is constructed based on the CAD system, then it is transferred into the CAE system by means of VDA data format. The calculation results of dynamic stamping simulation, including the distributions of engineering major strain and thickness change of the blank and FLD are presented. In order to verify the accuracy in modeling and simulation, experiments have been done in a plant, which show that the results of the calculation are almost identical to those of the experiments.

Abstract:Automobile welding fixture design directly influence the production quality and exploitation cycle of automobile body. Computer aided fixture design has become a research focus in recent years. This paper is focused on the design feature and process of welding fixture based on module design and parameter design theory. A virtual design system for automobile welding fixture is presented and a structure system of fixture parts is established. The application of this system will reduce the static and dynamic adjustment of welding fixture, improve the fixture design level and shorten the design cycle.
