The long-term clinical effect observation of Easy Resilient Attachment denture and preventing the complications

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the long-term clinical effects of Easy Resilient Atachment(ERA) in Kennedy class I and II dentition defect and prevention and treatment of complications. Methods Totally 46 pieces of Stemgold Attachment were applied in 30 patients with dentition defect the patients accepted the survey on the satisfaction of complete denture,clinical and radiographic examinations were performed to evaluate the clinical effect, find out problems and resolve timely. Results Patients were satisfied with the esthetic,retention,mastication effciency,degree of comfort and convenience of the dentures,30 cases had to be substituted nylon washer due to retention strength decreased,and some abutments were found to have gingivitis.All dentures were used continually and there was no failure. Conclusion It could be suggested that ERA denture performs well during the long-term follow-up.But it is important that the indications were strictly controlled and subsequent visits are necessary.
