Abstract:Objective:To investigate the prevalence of anxiety and depressive symptoms and related risk factors in women with pregnancy and postpartum. Methods:The questionnaires of risk factors of anxiety and depressive symptoms to pregnancy and postpartum were compiled according to the published articles.600 pregnant women from two obstetrical and gynecological hospitals were enrolled in this study according to the inclusive and exclusive criteria. Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HAD)and Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale(EPDS)were used to evaluate anxiety and depressive symptoms of women during pregnant 24th and 38th weeks, and after delivering 7th, 42th days and three months. The cut-off scores of anxiety and depressive symptoms of HAD scale were 9, and that of EPDS was 13. Results:1) According to HAD scale the prevalence of anxiety symptoms in different five points was 5.0%、6.6%、4.4%、4.1 and 2.2%, and the prevalence of depressive symptoms was 5.0%、7.6%、7.4%、5.9% and 3.0% respectively. 2) The prevalence of postpartum depression according to EPDS scale was 8.0% at D7、10.7% at D42 and 9.6% in 3month. 3) The prevalence of depressive symptoms was significantly higher in women over 35 yeas old than those of women less 35 years old at pregnant 24th week (21.1% vs 4.4%,P<0.02), and the same result of anxiety symptoms after delivery D7 (21.1% vs 4.6%,P<0.02). 4) The anxiety symptoms during pregnancy period was significant impacted on the depressive symptoms after laboring day 7 and 3month. 5) The major related risk factors of anxiety and depressive symptoms during pregnancy were worrying about infant's health after laboring (OR=7.09, 95%CI=5.72 to 8.46), relationship with mother-in-law (OR=38.46, 95%CI=35.61 to 41.31) and partner relationship (OR=41.66, 95%CI=38.72 to 44.62). 6) After laboring the major risk factors of anxiety and depressive symptoms were depressive and anxiety symptoms during pregnancy (OR=8.13, 95%CI=6.55 to 9.71 OR=8.54, 95%CI=7.022 to 10.372), sleeping hours in every day (OR=10.66, 95%CI=9.266 to12.066) and whether or not worrying about events (OR=9.34, 95%CI=8.152 to 10.528).Conclusion:There are some proportions of anxiety and depressive symptoms in women during pregnant and postpartum. These symptoms in the pregnant period have obvious impact on the depressive symptoms after delivering. Anxiety and depressive symptoms were significant high in the women with pregnancy over 35 years old group. The risk factors associated of women with pregnancy and postpartum were different.
