Abstract:Yingqian Township Shangyou County,located in the border area of Gannan Prefecture,is a typical hakka settlement area,where have been inhabiting both old surnamed people deriving from the central and northern Jiangxi province during the late Southern Song Dynasty and new surnamed people coming from Xinning or other county Guangdong province during the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty Living in the same community,old surnamed and new surnamed people have contradictions and struggles and,as well,mixtures and developments.Their struggles and developments have been melted in a pot ,which forms rich historical connotations.
