Using the Visual Basic to Exchange Data Between SQL Server Database and Documents of MS -Word

Abstract:In this paper, a software system, in which the Visual Basic and ADO (Microsoft ActiveX Data Object) are applied to exchange data between SQL-Server database and documents of MS-Word, is introduced, and this system has the functions of reading/writing the documents of MS-Word and managing the information of the database. Above all, the background of application, theory foundation and the blue print in the mass are analyzed, the function and the module framework are presented. And then, according the course of input inspecting, information reading, error abiding/reporting and writing the recognized data into the database, and the process of the querying/computing the data, exporting/importing the information of the database, the elements and means of the software programming are expatiated on separately, furthermore, the correlative main program code of this software system are offered. Finally, the actual application effect of this system is explained.
