Abstract:The vegetation and soil conditions of wetlands are important sources of nutrients for lake water, and they form the fundamental basis for the ecological services provided by wetlands. In this study, an investigation was conducted on the plant diversity and soil environmental factors in Caohai lakeside wetland. The following results were obtained: a total of 166 species of aquatic plants were found in the protected area, with the highest number of species belonging to hygrophytes. The families with the highest number of plant species were Asterzceae with 26 species and Poaceae with 25 species. There were differences in plant diversity indices among the sampling sites, with the highest Shannon-Wiener index found in the Loulaoshan site, the highest Simpson index found in the Xihai Matou site, and the highest Pielou evenness index found in the Jiangjiawan site. Monte Carlo tests showed that the soil environmental factors significantly influencing the characteristics of wetland plant community diversity were oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) (40.5%, F=23.2, P=0.002), compaction (6.7%, F=4.2, P=0.012), and temperature (5.4%, F=3.6, P=0.022).

Abstract:There are 259 species wetland wascular plants, belonging to 68 families and 165 genera in Huaihe drainage area (Anhui section). As to the flora component, the major parts in the wetland consists of 11 great families (species≥5), Gramineae and Cyperzceae of which are the greatest.Aquatic of fern plants species are 4 area-types, cosmopolitan is the main tape,and that of seed plants genera are 14 area-types. The genera of temperate-area-types occupied 38.4% of total genera. The resource of the wetland plants is very abundant in the food category, the raw material for industry, the kind of green manure, the kind of view and admire, the environmental protection class, and the idioplasm resources.

Abstract:The rodent flora was investigated in Tianzhu county, Gansu province. The results showed that there were 25 species, which belonged to 4 sub-families, eight families, two orders. Cricetidae and Dchotonidae were the dominant types, and Myosplax bailey was dominant species. Seven rodent communities were classified by different habitats. The area being harmed was 152.9 thousand hm2, accounting for 39.06％ of total grassland, which frequently occurred in alpine meadow and shrub meadow

Abstract:Taking Pengxihe Wetland Nature Reserve as the object of study,this article carried on the overall survey to the protectorate wetland plant resources.The result indicated that the nature reserve had 100 species,67 genera and 34 families of wetland plants.Wetland plant types in nature reserve were classified as 4 vegetation types and by 17 mostly formations such as Form.Typha latifolia,From.Polygonum hydropiper and so on.In addition,vegetation distribution characteristics and new-born wetland to its influence were discussed.As a result of the wetland plant to the biodiversity protection and contains the great productivity,proposed the wetland plant protection and utilization countermeasures.

Abstract:This article focused on investigation and evaluation of wetland resource status in Qinghai Province by using the method of sample investigation.The results show that there exist vascular bundle plants of 29 familes,68 genus and 181 speciese,of which three are ferns of 1 family,2 genus,3 species in shole province.There are 123 of species amniotes,including wading birds 48,fish 55,and beasts 11,accounting for 26.4% of terrestrial amniotes specie,of which 39 species are protected at provincial and national levels.There are 55 species of fish,belonging to 3 orders,5 families and mainly distributed in these areas like Yangtze River,Yellow River,Lancangjiang River and the rivers in Qinghai lake basin,Hannan basin and Chaidamu basin.There are mammalians of 103 species in whole province.As the effect of global climate change and human disturbance,wetland resources of Qinghai annually decreases,and some useful measures of protecting the wetland resources must be taken in the future.

Abstract:Based on the field survey,the plant diversity of Changzhou Island,Guangzhou was studied.There are a total of 487 vascular plant species belonging to 358 genera,127 families on the island,and the dominating vegetation are secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest and artificial vegetation.The diversity and geographical area of the wild plant on Changzhou Island were analyzed,the results indicated that few families are the dominant components of flora,and tropical elements predominate in the flora but there is a degree influence of temperate elements.Finally,suggestions for the protection of plant diversity were proposed.

Abstract:Accelerating and severe wetland loss has made wetland restoration increasingly important. Current wetland restorations do not take into consideration the ecological adaptability of wetland plants at large scales, which likely affects their long-term restoration success. We explored the ecological adaptability, including plant life forms and phylogenetic diversity, of plants across 28 wetlands in China. We found that perennial herbs were more common than annual herbs, with the proportion of perennial herbs accounting for 40–50%, 45–65%, 45–70%, 50–60%, and 60–80% of species in coastal wetlands, human-made wetlands, lake wetlands, river wetlands, and marsh wetlands, respectively. A ranking of phylogenetic diversity indices (PDIs) showed an order of marsh < river < coastal < lake < human-made, meaning that human-made wetlands had the highest phylogenetic diversity and marsh wetlands had the lowest phylogenetic diversity. The nearest taxon index (NTI) was positive in 23 out of 28 wetlands, indicating that species were phylogenetically clustered in wetland habitats. Dominant species tended to be distantly related to non-dominant species, as were alien invasive species and native species. Our study indicated that annual herbs and perennial herbs were found in different proportions in different types of wetlands and that species were phylogenetically clustered in wetland habitats. To improve wetland restoration, we suggest screening for native annual herbs and perennial herbs in proportions that occur naturally and the consideration of the phylogenetic similarity to dominant native species.
Preliminary floristic study on the seed plants of Minjiang upriver region

Abstract:Minjiang upriver region is located in the North of Sichuan province.It is one of the hot spots of biodiversity in the world.Basing on the field investigation and literatures,there are 1091 species of seed plants which belong to 107 families and 444 genera.Among these species,gymnosperms have 6 families,11 genera and 42 species,and angiosperms have 101 families,433 genera and 1049 species.29 pantropic families account for 40.28% of the total families,while 225 temperate genera amount to 56.53% of the total genera and 501 endemic species amount to 50.81% of the total species.In this article,the seed plant flora characteristics of the Minjiang upriver region is analyzed.The result shows that the flora of Minjiang upriver region is complicated.There are many endemic elements in which the pantropic element is the preponderant one.

Abstract:[Objective] The aim of the study was to research the resources of wild shrub plants in Guangdong province.[Method] Relative data obtained from field investigating and document sorting.[Result] There were 1 416 species of shrub plants belonged to 362 genera and 97 families in Guangdong province.The ratio of shrub plants to families,genera and species of vascular plants were 34.64%,22.01% and 20.07% respectively in Guangdong.The dominant families and genera of shrub plants in Guangdong were put forward,the distribution patterns of shrub plants in Guangdong were analyzed.[Conclusion] The study laid a foundation for utilizing the plant resources in Guangdong.

Abstract:There are 461 species of seed plants in Xunbielahe drainage basin,belonging to 218 genera and 71 families;the largest family is Compositae,next family are Ranunculaceae,Gramineae,Cyperaceae.At family level,besides cosmopolitan family,the temperate type is the main elements.At genus level,the geographical component is mainly the north temperate type(containing variety),containing 102 genera,and occupying 62.04% of the total number of genera.At species level,the geographical component is mainly temperate floristic elements(74.15%) in this flora.The basic characteristics of the flora are follows: Dominant family is prominent in this flora;The genera with single species and few species occupied high percentage of the total number;The flora is various in floristic elements.

Abstract:Based on the investigation of wild ornamental spermatophyte in Guangzhou,648 wild spermatophyte species were ornamental in Guangzhou,including 136 families and 393 genera.This paper evaluated their ornamental characteristics by AHP,and made suggestions that 109 species had high ornamental value which were devided into 4 types.The native plants such as colored leaves trees,ornamental fruit and flower plants,lianes,ground covers,sciophyte and honey plants had great potential in further exploitation and application in horticulture and Lunar New Year Flower market.Through full development,the human-arbor-shrub landscape harmonious development was promoted in deed.

Abstract:Through investigation on typical natural vegetation communities in Yellow River Irrigation Area in Gansu Province,the distribution characteristics of the main population were studied.Result shows that:(1)the typical population of main natural populations in Yellow River Irrigation Area are Oxytropis aciphylla,Nitraria tangutorum &Artemisia ordosica;(2)site conditions &soil characteristics of three different populations are significantly different,Artemisia ordosica being fixed dunes,Oxytropis aciphylla being fixed &semi-fixed sand dunes,population of Nitraria tangutorum being semi-fixed sand dunes;its pH value &total salt from high to low is as follows:Nitraria tangutorum,Oxytropis aciphylla,Artemisia ordosica;(3)there are 29plant species in the study area,belonging to 10families and 26genera,of which five kinds of shrubs or small shrubs,accounting for 17.24% of plant species;(4)the vegetation in study area shows characteristics of simple structure,single &fewer species in shrub layer,larger number of species &relative abundance in herbaceous layer.

Abstract:The exploration of the floristic geographical characteristics of woody plants in Anxi Nature Reserve will provide some scientific basis for the protection and utilization of woody plants resources in this area.In the present study,the woody plants species composition,floristic geographical characteristics and endemic species distribution in Anxi National Nature Reservation were analyzed combining the related documents,web data and the field investigation.The results showed that the woody plants species in the study area were very rich, where had 120 species of woody plants belongs to 47 genera in 21 families.There were 5 species of gymno-sperms belonged to 2 genera in 2 families and 1 15 species of angiosperms belonged to 45 genera in 1 9 families;7 species of arbor belongs to 4 genera in 3 families,55 species of shrub belonged to 1 9 genera in 14 families. The floristic geographical composition of this area was complex which had 5 distributional types and 2 subtypes in the family level,9 distributional types and 4 subtypes in the genera level,and 33 species of Chinese endemic species of woody plants.Woody plant in Anxi National Nature Reservation had an ancient origin,with some obvious the temperate component and the Mediterranean Sea component,which had a contact with the pantrop-ic component.The woody plants in this area reflected the Mediterranean characteristics more obviously,while the her-baceous plants reflected the cosmopolitan characteristics and temperate characteristics more obvious.

Abstract:Analysis and study through quadrat survey on characters of forest community in Gutianshan Nature Reserve of Zhejiang province showed that the forest is dominated by evergreen trees like Fagaceae, Cinnamomum Trew, Camellia L., Ericaceae and Rosaceae with characters such as leaves simple, leathery, small and medium, etc. The vertical structure was complicated with tree, shrub and herb and some interlayer plants.

Abstract:The Huangshui River Basin is one of the most important water sources in the Qinghai Province and is of great importance for ecological protection measures, agricultural irrigation and tourism. Soil Moisture Variations of Wetland at Different Altitudes in Desert Regions, China

Abstract:Desert wetland is a special ecological environment as water is fundamental to maintaining existence. The soil water of sandy wetland links surficial water and groundwater. This study Takes Habahu National Wetland Nature Reserve as the research area and the water movement characteristics of soil profile as the research purpose. According to the altitude and topographic characteristics, the main focus is monitoring soil moisture in different layers at specific sites. The results show that: (1) In the core area of sandy wetland, the water movement of the soil profile is slow with lower infiltration and evaporation; (2) On the slopes around the wetland, the surface water is recharged by rapid leakage along with the underlying impermeable layer after precipitation due to the sand coverage; (3) In the desert hinterland outside the wetland, the water rapidly infiltrates after precipitation and flows into different groundwater systems along the structural characteristics of the underlying stratum to supplement the nearby wetlands. Based on these characteristics, we put forward the unique viewpoints of environmental protection in sandy wetlands: (1) focus on the protection of surface organisms in the core area of sandy wetland to reduce evaporation and improvethe soil water-holding capacity; (2) Appropriate engineering and biological measures should be applied to the slope outside the core area to reduce surface evaporation and plant transpiration and improve the soil moisture; (3) In the periphery area of the wetland, infiltration should be promoted to ensure the source of water supply to wetlands, which would maintain the existence of wetlands and give full play to their ecological functions. In addition, this study analyzed the relationship between soil moisture and plant diversity of 35 species. 16 plants are considered to be suitable for planting in core area of sandy wetland and 9 plants for planting in the desert hinterland outside the wetland.
Floristic Characteristics of Seed Plant along the Great Wall and Protection of the Great Wall in Central Gansu Province

Abstract:In this study,a survey on seed plants along the Great Wall built in the Warring States Period and the Qin Dynasty in the Dingxi area of Gansu Province was carried out.In the survey 444 plant species in 242 genera and 58 families were found,in which 3 species in 3 genera and 2 families belonged to Gymnosperm,and 441 species in 239 genera and 56 families belonged to Angiosperm.Among the 58 families,there were 15 monotypic genus families and 5 families with more than 10 genera at least,and they accounted for 45.5% and 52.4% of the total surveyed genera and total species respectively.Compositae with 82 species and 38 genera was the richest family.There were 4 areal types and 4 subtypes at family level,and 13 areal types and 11 subtypes at genus level,in which 2 genera belonging to Compositae and Umbelliferae were endemic in China.There were the rich plant species and complex geographical elements in the study area,the flora were dominated by the Old World Temperate and the North Temperate types.Two rare and endangered species with low protection level were found.These conclusions could contribute to the theoretical and practical proofs for protecting the Great Wall with plants.

Abstract:Aquatic vegetation, which embodied evolvement and developmental direction of wetland ecosystem, was an important constitution. With the help of 3S technologies and the way of typical sample, investigation on aquatic vegetation of Lashihai indicated: There was 32 species ,belonging to 17 families, 21 genera; 17 plant communities, included 4 emerging plant communities,3 floating leaves plant communities, 1 floating plant communities, 7 submerged plant communities. Dominant species of aquatic vegetation were Scirpus tabernaemontani, Phragmites australis, Polygonum amphibium, Nymphoides peltatum, Trapa incise, etc. The composition of aquatic plant communities is complicated, it is composed with the plentiful species.
