Abstract:Based on the information system of large-scale papermaking corporation, this paper analyzes the information flow in process industry, which is consist of three layers such as Business Plan System (BPS), Manufacturing Executive System (MES) and Process Control System (PCS). Comparing the differences of three layers data among the Computer Integrated Production System (CIPS), we present the structure and method of web-based data warehouse.

Abstract:The process industry plays a dominant role in country economy. A solution to apply GIS (geographical information system) technology in process industry CIMS was developed. How to design the spatial database, middleware server and GIS-client-application were analyzed. The functions of process industry CIMS were extended by integrating spatial information and other systems, for example, voice dispatch, fire alarm and video monitor. As a result, the integrated manufacturing level will be raised.

Abstract:The traditional CIMS reference architecture is not practically effective in the system analysis, design and implementation. The paper introduces a new CIMS application architecture consisting of three layers: data layer, logic layer and controlling layer, and specifies the composition and relationship of each layer in detail. Moreover, on the basis of the reference model,an instructive system analysis and design method is described, which has been proved to be successful in Qingshan Paper Mill' CIMS.

Abstract:As a result of geographical location and management model, large-scale clothing corporations have expressed their requirements for distributed data management and multi-hierarchy decision support. Based on large-scale clothing corporations, the paper proposes a model of distributed data warehouse for sales decision support system in clothing industry, and illustrates some key techniques in designing data warehouse. The paper also proposes a solution for data transmission from local data warehouse to main data warehouse using the technology of Web Service, and gives an actualization of Web-oriented OLAP.

Abstract:To make the supply chain for product family hold speedy responses and satisfy customers diversification needs, based on the characteristics of the supply chain for product family, the requirements of the data-warehouse-based management system of supply chain for product family (DWMSSCPF) were analyzed. The function of data warehouse in the DWMSSCPF was discussed. And the data warehouse of supply chain for product family was built in terms of theme establishment and data-model design. The architecture of DWMSSCPF was presented, including data integration layer, performance control layer, work-flow layer and resolving exception layer. The DWMSSCPF system was successfully employed in a certain automotive parts and components company, and the speedy responses to the customers diversification needs were effectively realized.

Abstract:The introduced CIMS reference model, which is composed of data layer, logic layer and controlling layer, is proved to be comprehensively instructive in system design and implementation. Based on this model, the paper analyzes the workflow and system functional partition according to the characters of the sale process in a paper mill. Furthermore, it introduces a distributed multi-layer architecture and points out the six main components in MIDAS. Finally, taking the Qingshan Paper Mill as an example, it illustrates the practical effect of this architecture.

The product development of Complex Industrial Products (CIPs) is a great practical challenge for most enterprises. The demand for mass customization products makes enterprises to face more complicated product development situation. The deep integration of information technology and manufacturing technology makes big data an important value source for enterprises. Full application of big data to promote product development of CIPs has become a feasible approach for product development of enterprises. The value of big data needs to be applied through the knowledge-based application of data. The core work is to develop the functional data model. The application of big data in product development will eventually move towards knowledge-based intelligent. Abstract:We propose a feasible approach on managing the heterogeneous data in distributed enterprise environment, which leverages the born data presentation and calculation ability of spreadsheet to unify the enterprise information access to heterogeneous data sources through its core component: universal distributed data interchanging middleware (UDDIM). Afterwards, we focus on the problem of unifying all kinds of heterogeneous data sources from heterogeneous OS in Intranet through CORBA and Internet through SOAP into one single "Spreadsheet World". And this "Spreadsheet World" is bridged to and fro other information worlds through information gateway technology. XML technique is used to achieve data exchanging regardless of the differences of low-level communication mechanisms. As a result, all clients can access and utilize information from one single "Spreadsheet World" in variety of ways, both powerfully and easily.

Abstract:This paper discussed data integration on Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in process industry, especially petrochemical process. The three layers model (ERP/MES/PCS) of Contemporary Integrated Manufacturing System (CIMS) in process industry was analyzed. Then, the solution of MES oriented data integration, i.e., material balance and yield accounting was given. Finally, the implementation of heterogeneous data integration and its application in a petrochemical plant were presented.
