Abstract:The basic concept and output data format of GPS receiver's serial communications were simply introduced.The paper described how to communicate between GPS receiver and PDA with multithreaded programming based on Windows CE. Abstract:It's important for nation to develop GPS receivers based on OEM card. The technology of exploiting it used PDA (Personal Digital Assistants) as handset is described and the structure and data flow are introduced. The communication between PDA and OEM card is achieved through serial ports. PDA completes the tasks of data collection, decoding and display.

Abstract:With the development of society, embedded products have been applied in all walks of life. According to the investigation of most embedded Windows CE data acquisition system, data transmission and storage management are not very good. In this paper we show how the USB interface and SQLite can be used to solve these problems. Using USB bus for data transfer, we can realize HID devices loaded dynamically and avoid writing redundant complicated USB drive. Using embedded database SQLite for data storage, the storage structure is more clear and easier to be managed. But Nandflash is limited to the number of reading and writing, so we put forward "two levels storage" concept of data storage structure based on the WinCE file system. Practice has shown that the USB and SQLite technology can be better to solve the data transfer and storage management issues.

Abstract:Palmprint recognition is an efficient method to identify a person. The small size of palmpdnt identification equipment will facilitate applications and extend application scope. This paper implements a practical schema of the palmprint identification system based on ARM and WinCE. The ARM processor acquires the palm image from a digital camera, extracts the features from the palm image and matches the feature with corresponding template in the database, finally gives out the identification result. Experimentations proved that the proposed system could identify palmprints with high accuracy. Fur-thermore, the proposed algorithm is invariant to image translation and rotation, and is partially invariant to affine distortion,image scale, changes in 3D viewpoint and illumination. The palmprint could be captured in contactless manner and does not need any fixing facility, which is much friendly to the users. Besides, the proposed system has the merits of small size,cost-effective and low-power, which are appropriate to be adopted in power and cost sensitive civilian applications.

Abstract:An embedded graphic user interface (GUI) terminal which is used in ship positioning system based on Global Position System (GPS) is designed. The basis system software and hardware frames are introduced firstly. Then the procedure to make an appropriate embedded Linux system is discussed, and also for the transplantation of miniGUI. At last it explains how to implement a GUI application program based on the embedded Linux and miniGUI platform.

Abstract:Windows CE has characteristics of small size, powerful function, high real-time performance. Hence Windows CE more and more appears in industrial mechanical and electronic products. The paper aims at the feature of technology and application of high grade digital paper cutter machine. Windows CE device, as upper computer, implements user functions and program logic, PLC (Programmer Logic Controller), as low computer, accomplishes electric and mechanical control, the upper and lower computers are communicated by serial communication. The real-time performance, stabilization, high efficiency of serial communication between upper and lower machine is required by the key to safe and reliable operation of the upper-lower computer structure. To solve the problem, this paper analyses the design of serial communicate under Windows CE with combination of feature of PLC communication. Propose the method of program design, program flow and protocol. And the long–team performance of digital paper cutter machine demonstrates the reliance and feasibility of the program design.

Abstract:This paper analyses the main difference of interconnection between the embedded operation system Windows CE.Net and the desktop Windows operation system.A serial port communication protocol is designed,it has the function of sending or receiving messages and control commands and can carry out the transmission of the files with breakpoint resume function.Finally,the interconnection between two systems is realized by programming in the environments of Microsoft Visual C++and Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++4.0 respectively.It is proved through experiments and uses that this method can accurately and reliably accomplish data transfer such as messages and files between the systems.

Abstract:Aiming at the problem of the currently popular embedded operating system WinCE.NET,that is not fully supporting USB floppy driver,an implementing strategy for USB floppy based on WinCE.NET is put forward.By adopting stream interface driver model,the USB floppy driving program is developed;The control of USB floppy is implemented with UFI technology.The method and whole procedures for formatting USB floppy are given;the program has been applied successfully in ARM9-based multi-functional computerized embroidery machine.The program is simple and easy to use;it is good reference for developing driving program for similar USB devices.

Abstract:To quickly and effectively acquire and analyze field information, a palm-sized personal computer (PPC) based field information fast collection and real-time processing system was designed. Compared with desktop computer, the operation system, windows CE, this one has brought great difference in system development and design due to its hardware. So, the difference of key technologies of the system was analysed and debated. These key technologies includes geographic information system (GIS), spatial accessing methods, database technology on windows CE, sampling control plan, and etc. Considering the particularity of farms, an object-oriented farm model was proposed to describe farm objects properly, edit sampling plan conveniently and do sampling control easily. As a kind of real- time system, the system can be used with global positioning system (GPS) and kinds of sensors to acquire and analyse field information instantly. The precision test of two GPS receivers (Agl32 and Map330) was finished by the system. The result of experiment validated higher accuracy and stability of Agl32. So Agl32 is more suitable to be used in precision farming. The experiment process and result also indicated strong practicality of the system.

Abstract:Intelligent analysis instrument requires the data could be transmitted between sub-board and main-board or among main-board based on SPI bus in Windows CE.SPI communication principle of dual machines is introduced firstly.Then,the interrupt handling mechanism in Windows CE is analyzed.At last,SPI driver of dual machines in Windows CE is implemented from the aspect of the kernel interrupt service routine,interrupt service thread,stream interface and driver load.Test results show that the data can be communicated stably and reliably between dual machines.

Abstract:The hardware design of TL16C554 about how to achieve the multi-serial-port expansion in intelligent instrument within S3C2410A core is introduced.Then,the flow of serial driver in Windows CE is analyzed.At last,the method how to add new serial-port COM4 based on previous serial-port COM1~COM3 driver in Windows CE for example is provided.Tests show that the new serial-port can correctly send data and receive data between intelligent instrument and PC,or other serial device.

Abstract:Based on the traditional TCP/IP and GPRS,this paper introduce a kind of remote-controlled embedded image acquisition system with ARM9 core.Through the embedded operating system platform of Windows CE 5.0,it can meet user-friendly operation and low cost requirements.The experimental results show that it has such characteristics as high real-time,multitasking tasking,good user interface and short development cycle.And by using Internet and GPRS,the system has more applicability and control range.It has better application in Internet of Things and the field of intelligent home controls.

Abstract:Based on the single-computer and OEM board, an economic GPS receiver, with low cost, is designed to meet the performance requirements. The heart of this system’s hardware is Intel 8051 single-computer; the system is developed by using the Jupiter-TM GPS receiving board; the hardware system also contains keyboard, LCD, RS-232 cable, and the other outer devices. The system’s software uses the assemble language to realize picking up and displaying GPS signal, and the basic control and operation on keyboard. By the experiment, the single point and non-difference location precision of this receiver is low, but higher than the common hand receiver, so this receiver needs further research to improve the precision.

Abstract:Real-time monitoring of highway pavement,especially roughness of the high-speed railway is to ensure that the safety degree of prerequisite,in order to achieve this condition,vehicle's dynamic measurement is one of preferred technologies.In this technique,the fault location of road is the key technology.Through analyzing GPS data transfer mode and NMEA-0183 agreement,the serial communication is implemented by using the communication control MSComm in VB 6.0.After the commissioning of the program,MSComm control can realize real-time information displays on the monitor such as time,height,latitude and longitude of runing vehicles,achieve real-time monitoring of the fault.The technology not only provides technical support for the pavement roughness dynamic test,but also provides a reference for the technology.

Abstract:Using XML web services in embedded system could be able to use the existing geodata and geoprocessing services through wired/wireless network. However, the processing and memory limitations of embedded devices exacerbate the problem in the area of complexity, constraints, and the verbosity of the protocols used in XML web services effect the usability of XML. This paper presents a GPS navigation system, which accesses OGC-compliant geodata and geoprocessing services using gSOAP toolkit. This system composes of hardware platform, embedded operation system and software system. Our experimental result shows gSOAP could provides transparent SOAP API allows embedded system using XML web services. © 2010 IEEE.

Abstract:There is a large amount of information within every group of the received GPS positioning information, Users only need to extract and translate the useful information for them, this can be achieved by computer programs. The GPS information extraction follows the NMEA0183 standard, this paper writes a simple MFC dialog-based program based on the serial communications and GPS communication protocols. The program can be used to extract and translate GPS positioning information, store the positioning information and calculate the differential correction and then present the positioning results to users. This paper describes the function of each part and implementation methods of the program.
