Effect of surgery times on survival rate of embryos in Boer goat embryo transfer

Abstract:Boer goat embryos were transferred surgically into uteri of 63 dairy goat recipients for the first time,thirty-one of these recipients were used again and thirteen were repeatedly used for three times.The results indicated that when the recipient were repeatedly used for three times,there was not significant effect on embryo transfer efficiency with skill operation and effective embryo transfer appliance self-made.The pregnancy rates of the recipient were used for the first,again or three times were 61.9%(39/63),64.5%(20/31)and 61.5%(8/13),respectively,and the rate of embryos developing into kids were 51.4%(72/140),53.1%(26/49)and 46.2%(12/26),respectively.
