Studies on Embryos Transfer in Boer Goat

Abstract:From 1999 to 2000,Boer goat embryo transfer was conducted in Chengdu Boer Goat Farm Twelve donors superovulation were induced by injections of descending doses of FSH Two hundred and fifty seven embryos were collected,the average of embryos per donor were 21 4±11 1,and in which 206 were usable embryos,the average of usable embryos per donor were 17 2±8 33 One hundred and seventy embryos were transplanted into uteri of Yaan dairy goat recipients Fifty one recipients were pregnancy,2 of them were aborted 2 months after transplanted and the rest 49 pregnant recipients delivered 88 kids The pregnant rate of recipients was 65 4?%(51/78),and the rate of the kidding recipients was 62 8?%(49/78),and the rate of embryos developing into kids was 51 8?%(88/170) The average kids per donor by embryo transfer increased by 7 33 The results indicated that the embryo of Boer goat transfer to Dairy goat could obtain high pregancy rate and embryos survival rate Therefore,the embryo transfer technique of Boer goat is developing from research to application stage
