Abstract:In order to solve the low speed of information transmission, inefficient design and long development cycle in the design process of the belt conveyor in the thermal power plants, a multidisciplinary collaborative design System of the belt conveyor is put forward. With the analysis of the information requirement, integrated information model is established with systems accepted by user’s requirements through the network transmission protocol. Project managers can discuss and develop plans through the structure of distributed-centralized. By the framework of information interaction and conflict resolution, professional design personnel can exchange their information and finish the design of the belt conveyor collaboratively.

Abstract:Belt conveyors are widely used in the areas of coal, ports, electric power, chemical, etc, to transport bulk solid. The traditional design methods have many defects, such as long design cycle, prone to error, and it is unable to meet the needs of modern society. This paper presents a new method of designing belt conveyors, the 3D visual rapid design platform based on the AutoCAD software for the design of belt conveyors. This platform uses Visual Basic software to develop the rapid design program, establishes the stereo models of the belt conveyor by extending the functions of AutoCAD with ObjectARX. So it builds the three-dimensional design environment in which the designers can adjust the structure of the belt conveyor based on the actual environment, manage the parts of the belt conveyor and get the engineering drawing of the belt conveyor. This platform increases the design speed and improves the design quality. ©2010 IEEE.

Abstract:The mechanism is put forward that is controlling surround rock of gateway driven along goaf in fully mechanized top coal caving face based on analysis of stress distribution around a coal face and theory of consolidating rock strength with bolt support. The stability of the surround rock is guaranteed by high strength bolt support bonded with resin grout. The high strength bolt is adaptive to high stress and large deformation of surrounding rock, because it can increase the strength of the surrounding rock, provide with high resistance support and big percentage elongation. Ended with an engineering instance, a new kind of successful supporting technique is introduced.

Abstract:Given that the disassembly speed of the body of the telescopic belt conveyor operated in an underground coal mine couldn’t keep consistent with the advancing speed of the working face, a telescopic system specially for the belt conveyor was designed. Then a detailed comparison of the merits and demerits and a force analysis of different telescopic systems were made in this paper. Lastly, a conveyor belt-oriented friction-type traction device was invented for specific working conditions. And the traction device is characterized by strong adaptability and high working efficiency and could retract and extend the telescopic part continuously and automatically, which provided an effective technical solution to facilitate the intelligent and efficient development of the modern mine.

Abstract:Conveyor belts are widely used in ore transportation in large-scale mines for their long transportation range, high safety, and strong economic applicability. Coal mine belt conveyors are not only traditional, simple mechanical conveying devices but also automatic control system operating devices that integrate safety, stability, and low power consumption. In the process of coal mining, a conveyor belt control system also needs to be closely integrated with modern industrial systems and information systems, which greatly improves its work efficiency. The purpose of this article is to improve the methods for designing automatic control systems for electric motors in order to obtain mechanical characteristics close to a constant power line, which would ensure the reliable operation of belt conveyors. An automatic control system was designed based on the controller Siemens S7-1200; then, a mathematical model of an automated electric drive was developed. Based on the mathematical model, a simulation model of an automatic electric drive was built, and the modes were modeled. After designing, the obtained plots of transients completely corresponded to the required transients, which means that the Siemens frequency converter automatic control system (ACS) parameters were calculated quite accurately and the conveyor electric drive met all requirements.

Abstract:As an important transportation equipment, belt conveyor plays an important role in underground coal mine production and is an indispensable component. In this article, taking the intermediate drive belt conveyor of Shanxi Tongmei Group Tongxin Mine as an example, the continuous dynamic method is adopted to comprehensively consider the non-uniform load distribution of the belt conveyor, and mathematical modeling of the intermediate drive belt conveyor is performed. The dynamic characteristics of the conveyor belt are analyzed. The MATLAB software is used to analyze the change of the conveyor belt tension under different starting accelerations. Based on the analysis results, the starting acceleration is optimized, and the new combined parabolic acceleration curve presented here is more suitable for the actual working condition of the belt conveyor. In this article, the startup timing of the head and middle motors of the belt conveyor is also discussed in depth. The start timing design of the belt conveyor is described, which provides a reference for the design of the belt conveyor with an intermediate drive.

Abstract:with the exhaustion of thick coal seams in some mines, thinner coal seam extraction will become the main trend of mining industry in the near future. However, due to the rigors of the mining environment, operations in the thinner coal seam are hardly acceptable by the miners. Therefore, in order to improve the production and assure the miners' security, automation technologies are advised perpetually. Nevertheless, current automation technology applied in the thinner coal seam is not ideal as communication between the different subsystems is easily interrupted and equipments are always damaged by each other in the narrow space. This paper firstly introduces remote integration control of the shearer machine, during which it is focused on that how communication stability can be improved in the thin coal seam, and then puts forward an easy and achievable method called replicated trajectory cutting (RTC) to realize the automation of the mining machine. Developments are achieved for the automation of mining machine. After the description of a real test, many lessons are learnt to construct the automation system of coal extraction in underground mine. Additionally, much experience can be immediately applicable to other longwall mining operations.

Abstract:Through the analysis of the status of belt-broken seizing machine and synthesizing the features of the common ones, designed a high reLiabiLity, minimal damage and purely mechanical belt-conveyors of belt-broken seizing machine according to the need of safe transport in the coal mine. The belt-broken seizing machine is made up of the agency of belt-broken signal capture and actuator that are purely mechanical. When occuring the belt-broken accident, broken belt drives the agency of belt-broken signal capture, which Links the actuator that connected to it to complete the action of seizing belt-broken. The agency of belt-broken also has a braking effect while Links the actuator, and achieve the dupLicate protection of the belt-broken with the actuator. Furthermore, the units has the advantages of that it is simple structure, easy to install, easy maintenance, sensitive and reLiable, avoid the second accident after the belt-conveyors broking, and ensure the safe transport of belt-conveyors in the coal mine.

Abstract:In a power plant unit whose main fuel is coal, there is generally use a belt conveyor installation. This conveyor belt serves to supply coal from the crusher unit to the combustion chamber of the power generation unit. In this study, we discuss a case where the installation of a belt conveyor which was initially only one line was then made a new branch that supplies coal to other power generating units. Equitable capacity distribution and continuity of coal distribution are the main focus of this study. Therefore, a design of automatic control system of coal flow divider on belt conveyor installation was designed. The working principle of this coal flow splitting system is to control the movement of the straight blade plough that directs the flow of coal to each unit at the certain time and continuously. Straight blade plough in the form of steel metal plate with a thickness of about 10 millimeters in which one end is connected to the end of the pneumatic cylinder. Automatic control system of coal flow divider in belt conveyor installation designed using CX-Programmer and CX-Designer applications. CX-Programmer serves to create automatic control logic concepts. While the CX-designer functions to create a Human Machine Interface (HMI), making it easier for operators to control the course of the coal supply process. The results of this study are in the form of control logic lines that can be applied to Programmable Logic Control (PLC) device and Human Machine Interface (HMI) equipment.
