Abstract:The paper describes a design of commercial vehicle monitoring system (CVSM) which can help to promote transportation safety and improve traffic efficiency. To meet the demand of practical application, we analyze functional requirements and set the general objective and basic routes of system design. The structure design consists of three main parts, namely, on-board terminal design, mobile application development and abnormal driving behavior detection. The real-time performance, reliability, and stability of the system are verified through experiments.

Abstract:More and more large farms adopt precision agriculture technology in China. On the base of requirement investigation, the paper designed and developed farm vehicle monitoring and intelligent dispatching system (FVMIDS) for a large farm, which owns 13,000 hm2 of land and has the most advanced agricultural mechanism in the world. The principle, technology and method of GPS, GIS, GSM and operational research were used for system design and development. The system could meet the following requirements: vehicle dispatching, vehicle inducing, vehicle monitoring, farming operation analyzing & statistics, means of production dispatching, and so on. The model of vehicle dispatching based on "transportation problem" was emphasized in the paper. Test run shows that the system can meet all the requirements of the farm and decrease vehicle-dispatching cost largely.

Abstract:Since the existing vehicle-mounted terminal can only provide single functions such as video service and network services,and has the problems of the provided network services failing to distinguish different users and low quality of service, an intelligent vehicle-mounted terminal system was designed. In the system,the master control module is taken as the core of hardware circuit,and the high-power routing module is adopted to provide wireless network sharing service. The functions of on-line surfing,connection,management and query were realized by means of C language programming. Wireless network sharing service,multimedia service,GPS positioning service and the function of distinguishing different users were realized without re-quiring any other infrastructure. The test results show that this system has a reasonable design and convenient operation,and has the advantages of diversified functions,strong wireless sharing capability,high data transmission rate,and high quality of service(QoS).

Abstract:Aiming at the inefficiency of traditional manual charging method,automatic toll collection system for highway based on radio frequency technology is provided.This paper gives a briefing on the analysis and description of the hardware design and software,and focuses on the design of communication protocol and implementation of charging software in the host computer.Practical test shows that the system is reliable and stable in data communication,can efficiently complete the function of automatic toll collection and is useful for highway information construction.

Abstract:There were two kinds of vehicular wireless networks: the centralized networks and the Adhoc networks.It was important to build a platform which made use of both networks to provide information dissemination and query functions.V-traffic system realized an efficient traffic information dissemination algorithm based on VANET's.At the same time,V-traffic system provided drivers with the function of detailed traffic information query based on mobile communications network.The viability and extendibility of the system is validated both by simulation and field test.As a demo system,V-traffic system was the foundation work for an extendable vehicular real-time information dissemination and information query platform.

Abstract:According to the defects of the GPS vehicle monitor system in the present market,a high concurrent and real-time GPS vehicle monitoring system is proposed. The entre system is based on a three-layer framework:the terminals,the interim database server,and the monitoring workstation. The monitor workstation is based on the MAPX platform,and the database server communicates with terminals through GPRS network. In order to reduce the communication payload,a reliable UDP protocol is used. By optimizing the database design, the high concurrence is obtained. The high efficiency of the system is proved in the implementation.
A New Highly Reliable Train Operation Monitoring Device

Abstract:The controller is the backbone of the new train operation monitoring device.Its network structure includes two layers: the control layer and the communication layer.The integrity of the control functions can be assured by the layered network.The reliability of module-level redundancy and system-level redundancy is analyzed and compared.On this basis,the better module-level redundancy is adopted for the new train operation monitoring device.Also,the scheme for designing the hardware redundancy switching circuit and the intelligent modular input/output module is proposed.Large capacity CF card is used as the carrier for the dump of ground basic data.By applying MD5 code verification technology and data redundancy storage technology,the ground basic data in the on-board host computer and the display has been automatically fully updated at the same time.The train operation monitoring device has improved both the security and usability for updating ground basic data.Ground tests and service running tests show that the device has basically met the current requirements for train operation and thus can guarantee the safe train operation control.

Abstract:Recently,attentions are focused more on vehicle interior network application and the wireless vehicle-carry data transmission technology. For developing a remote monitoring system,three aspects of the system are discussed:the vehicle interior network configuration,the CAN/GPRS gateway realization and the remote monitoring server design. Described in the paper are hardware design,programming of low level drivers,the network application layer protocol design,the ARM-Linux transplant and the protocol conversion. Contents included also GPRS wireless networking and socket communication.

Abstract:A framework for monitoring system of vehicles is introduced in this paper. The system is applied for real-time monitoring of vehicles. It mainly includes vehicular hardware, remote servers and application terminals. The hardware part insists of various sensors, MCU chips, interface converting modules and hand-held terminals. The system collects a variety of data of vehicles efficiently. And it optimizes the transmission of data base on different bandwidth, delay and other characteristics. At the same time, it accesses to the remote data center perfectly. The data center will implement more complex business analysis considering vehicles as data collection terminals. The system improves the reliability of vehicular system and reduces errors in data transmission. It also has high security. A monitoring system based on the framework is implemented and introduced in this paper. The system makes it possible to monitor vehicles multi-angle and all-around. It is already applied within a certain range and achieved good results.

Abstract:Aiming at reducing maintenance costs of vehicle and improving safety in traffic,a kind of car remote maintenance system was presented,which transformed the way of car maintenance from timing or mileage maintenance to real-time maintenance.The system was made up of fault information acquisition terminal and server maintenance center.The acquisition terminal was an embedded system based on LPC2292 and ECOS,and the server maintenance center was integrated of communication server,database server and Web server.The results of practical test show that the system works highly stably and can be applied to varieties of vehicle types.For other remote monitoring system,the design can also be a reference.

Abstract:The existent problems of public traffic vehicles (PTV) dispatching are analyzed, this paper proposes dispatching and monitoring strategy for PTV. G lobal position system, communication computer technologies and so on are applie d to structuring the system of monitoring and management for the vehicles on the basis of the strategy, so as to solve the shortcoming of static dispatching for PTV effectively. The experimental results demonstrate that implementing dynamic dispatching strategy of PTV with GPS could improve the performance and effect o f dynamic dispatching for PTV, also operation efficiency and service quality wou ld be enchanted. The feasible technology support will be provided for intellige nt dispatching of urban PTV.

Abstract:With private car ownership increased substantially,traffic safety concern,although there are traffic lights to control traffic but still can not avoid the occurrence of traffic accidents,this paper designs a traffic intelligent broadcast system,firstly gives the hardware structure diagram of the system,the hardware circuit of the system is designed,then the intelligent broadcast system software is designed,finally the experimental results the combination of hardware and software are given,which shows that the intelligent broadcast system in this paper is simple and convenient and good performance,can successfully run the result.

Abstract:In order to reduce the wastage and loss of petroleum products in transit, a monitoring and management system is proposed for tank truck transportation. In this system, a vehicle transport recorder is developed to record the operations of inputs and outputs of a tank truck via a kind of Hall Effect switch sensors. Wireless data transceivers are designed to start and stop monitoring in the starting stations and destinations automatically. The information recorded by the vehicle transport recorder is collected by a smart card and then it is transferred to the host management software which is developed to manage the transportation data, alarm messages, devices, archives, etc. The integrated and intelligent system has been implemented and applied to practice, and it reduces the loss of petroleum products during the transportation efficiently.

Abstract:Based on the principle of the intelligent vehicle monitoring system using GPS/GSM, this paper analyzed the key technologies of the system such as GIS, wireless positioning and communication. Details about the design and implementation of the system are discussed in this paper. Such a system provides practical measures to resolve problems like vehicle hijacking and theft in traffic control and management. Abstract:This system is designed for the remote monitoring of the mechanical refrigeration trains. The communication platform based on the satellite communication and GSM SMS communication system is established in this system. And the two-way real-time communication link between the locomotive unit and the monitoring center is also established. Based on the electronic map technology, the real-time position track of the mechanical refrigeration trains can be displayed. This system has realized the remote monitoring and dispatching of the mechanical refrigeration trains and resolved the problem of the remote monitoring of the mechanical refrigeration trains. In this paper, the system architecture has been discussed briefly, and how each model is designed has also been discussed, which may provide good ideas for developing other remote monitoring systems.

Abstract:Most of vehicle monitoring systems based on GPS and GIS technologies use SMS as their communicating means.SMS didn't have private channel and is difficult to extend to suit other data business,could not afford stable communicating in those systems in some special situations.Contrasting with SMS,GPRS is cheap,real time and is more stable,and more suitable for those systems.A vehicle monitoring system that using GPRS is introduced,including the architecture,GPRS protocol operation,and the implementing of software is emphasized.
