Abstract:In this paper,we propose a concept that a binary tree example is built by a visual method. We complete the method by the special sequential storage structure of full binary tree,and finally solve some visual questions.

Abstract:Some key problems were addressed about the context-sensitive L-system in terms of the fundamental data structure.Associated with the syntax of L-system,new solutions based on binary tree were explored,including two new concepts: growth-state tree and growth-manner tree,based on which a context-sensitive Lsystem was re-implemented.Compared with the L-system based on the linear array,the new system captures the essence of logical structure in L-systems,and simplifies the context search process,so as to obtain better timing and spacing performance in the simulation,as well as better extendibility.Finally,the optimization of rendering process was investigated with applications in virtual plants,and some plant samples demonstrated the effectiveness of the new implementation.

Abstract:Self-segment is the basic idea of Lempel-Ziv compression algorithm.The algorithm,can be converted into a dictionary that consists of binary-tree searching structure.The VLSI implementation of Lempel-Ziv binary-tree search was based on a RAM dictionary that used a large RAM as a medium which can store the binary-tree nodes,and implemented the tree search by accessing the word of RAM.The result shows that the implementation has a higher throughput and lower area.The module has been applied in a data process chip.

Abstract:This paper explores how to visualize the algorithms in courses of teaching principles of compiler.A scheme is proposed to demonstrate the algorithm steps.The scheme shows the actions and datum using different graph elements and colors,and thus shows the algorithm steps and connected datum clearly.It is used to demonstrate LR parsing algorithm,showing how to decompose the complicated steps into sub-steps and use graph elements and colors to reveal the parsing actions,such as shift,reduce,accepting and errors,and connected datum are showing simultaneously.

Abstract:In this paper, we present a novel structure called the Hierarchical Degree-of-Visibility Tree (HDoV-tree) for visibility query processing in visualization systems. The HDoV-tree builds on and extends the R-tree such that 1) the search space is pruned based on the degree of visibility of objects and 2) internal nodes store level-of-details (LoDs) that represent a collection of objects in a coarser form. We propose two tree traversal algorithms that balance performance and visual fidelity, explore three storage structures for the HDoV-tree, and develop novel caching techniques for disk-based HDoV-tree. We implemented the HDoV-tree in a prototype walkthrough system called VISUAL. Our experimental study shows that VISUAL can lead to high frame rates without compromising visual fidelity.

Abstract:We study a tree coloring model introduced by Guidon (2018), initially based on an analogy with a remote control system of a rail yard, seen as switches on a binary tree. For a given binary tree, we formalize the constraints on the coloring, in particular the distribution of the nodes among colors. Following Guidon, we are interested in balanced colorings i.e. colorings which minimize the maximum size of the subsets of the tree nodes distributed by color. With his method, we present balanced colorings for trees of height up to 7. But his method seems difficult to apply for trees of greater height. Also we present another method which gives solutions for arbitrarily large trees. We illustrate it with a balanced coloring for height 8. In the appendix, we give the exact formulas and the asymptotic behavior of the number of colorings as a function of the height of the tree.

Abstract:A decision tree looks like a simple computational graph without cycles, where only the leaf nodes specify the output values and the non-terminals specify their tests or split conditions. From the numerical perspective, we express decision trees in the language of computational graph. We explicitly parameterize the test phase, traversal phase and prediction phase of decision trees based on the bitvectors of non-terminal nodes. As shown later, the decision tree is a shallow binary network in some sense. Especially, we introduce the bitvector matrix to implement the tree traversal in numerical approach, where the core is to convert the logical `AND' operation to arithmetic operations. And we apply this numerical representation to extend and unify diverse decision trees in concept.

Abstract:We present Tree Illustrator, an interactive authoring tool of tree visualizations. Tree Illustrator is based on GoTree, a declarative grammar allowing users to create tree visualizations by configuring three aspects: visual elements, layout, and coordinate system. Within the set of all possible tree visualization techniques, we identify a subset of techniques that are both "unit-decomposable" and "axis-decomposable" (terms we define). For tree visualizations within this subset, Tree Illustrator provides the users with flexible and fine-grained control over the parameters of the techniques, supporting not only existing techniques but also undiscovered and hybrid visualizations.

Abstract:Based on dynamic tree,this paper proposes a novel method of construction and execution for label transition system,which has some salient features.First,tree can describes label transition system with clear hierarchy and executing system is convenient using traversal algorithm of tree.Secondly,state recursion and retrospect of process algebra can be solved by dynamic construction of tree.At last,execution of label transition system only depends on current dynamic tree so that complexity of execution is reduced.

Abstract:We propose BarcodeTree (BCT), a novel visualization technique for comparing topological structures and node attribute values of multiple trees. BCT can provide an overview of one hundred shallow and stable trees simultaneously, without aggregating individual nodes. Each BCT is shown within a single row using a style similar to a barcode, allowing trees to be stacked vertically with matching nodes aligned horizontally to ease comparison and maintain space efficiency. We design several visual cues and interactive techniques to help users understand the topological structure and compare trees. In an experiment comparing two variants of BCT with icicle plots, the results suggest that BCTs make it easier to visually compare trees by reducing the vertical distance between different trees. We also present two case studies involving a dataset of hundreds of trees to demonstrate BCT's utility.

Abstract:Although our communities are paying extensive attention to the blockchain technology, it is still far away from realistic applications. Thus, this red-hot technology could be understood and employed for visual applications. Authors focus on online videos that collect sufficient user clicks owning to the high demand every day. When people watch the videos of TV drama episodes in an online website, they often need to exactly organise the playlists in ascending or descending order. However, video websites such as YouTube can't provide this service due to multiple reasons. This chapter creates a private blockchain for these video websites and applies Merkle tree to store the sorted videos in the chain. A sorted playlist has been created in the video website. Getting out of the box of video search so as to provide a quick video ranking solution is authors' main task. Sorting results are evaluated by using edit distance.

Abstract:In this paper, we propose a novel tree modeling ap- proach, synthesizing new trees from samples. First, we capture real world trees as samples by image-based modeling or laser scanning techniques. Then, we pre- sent a two-level statistical tree model and design a maximum likelihood estimation algorithm to extract it from samples. At the low level in the tree model, groups of similar organs are clustered to depict tree organ de- tails statistically. At the high level, a set of transitions between clusters is outlined to describe the stochastic distribution of organs. Experimental results show that our two-level model extracted from samples is capable of synthesizing new trees similar, yet visually different.

Abstract:Hierarchical data is very common in daily life, and tree visualization, which is used to represent hierarchical data, is an important part of visual analysis. While comparative analysis is widely used in problem solving, tree comparison plays an important role in visual analysis. From the perspective of comparing tree numbers, there are inter-tree comparison, pair-wise comparison and multi-tree comparison. Taking data characteristics into consideration, static tree comparison and dynamic tree comparison can be applied. Tree comparison can also be classified into structure comparison and attribute comparison according to comparison tasks. This paper provides an overview of the tree comparison methods relating to visualization area. These methods are divided into three categories according to their representation: juxtaposition, superposition and animation. The paper analyzes both advantages and disadvantages of different approaches, and then gives suggestions in different situations. It concludes with a discussion about the interactive explorations and the challenges of tree comparison.

Abstract:By analyzing the traditional multiple pattern matching algorithm based on tree structure, a new algorithm is proposed by substituting sequential binary tree for tree. The algorithm is suitable for the application which requires preprocessing the patterns dynamically. It is proved by experiment that the algorithm has three features: Its construction process is quick. Its cost of memory is small. At the same time, its searching process is as quick as the traditional algorithm.

Abstract:Representation of tree is a difficult problem in 3DGIS. Tree differs from common objects in its obvious fractal character, being difficult to modeling with common approaches. Now, fractal is in common use to produce vivid effect of tree. But the data amount is too large for its application in GIS; using tree image instead of tree is another approach in common use, but in the close shot, tree image would give bad effect, and the essential characters of tree are ignored. In this paper, we put forward a new method, which combines the tree fractal model with image model using LOD technology. By this approach, we can preliminarily realize the high-speed visualization and vivid effect.
