Abstract:Based on the microprocessor 80C196KC, an on-line monitoring system for switchgear is introduced, which can monitor the temperature rising of bus bar, insulation characteristic and mechanical characteristic of switchgear, as well as show the data report on LCD. By using microprocessor, it gathers, processes and analyzes the signals from various sensors and reports the data beyond the threshold that is preset by user through keyboard, and sends data to upper computer through RS-485 communication interface. Because of severe EMI environment the monitoring system works at, some software and hardware immunity measures are discussed.
