Abstract:The paper studies and analyzes the development process of library and information science education on the 30 years(1978～2008) in China by the methodology of network investigation and document survey.It can be divide into five stages: recovery stage,development stage,wandering stage,adjustment stage and improvement stage.Meanwhile,five trends emerge: diversity,standardization,practice,integration and international.
