Study on the Selection of Doctoral Postgraduates of Higher Education in China

Abstract:Through the collection and study of the statistics of admission catalogs and selection of doctoral candidates of higher education,it has been found out that: as to the enrollment number of provinces and institutions,the eastern part has the largest,followed by the central,and the western the least. More than half of the institutions set up the direction of the management of higher education and the principles of higher education. Admission tutors range mostly from 4 to 6. The evaluation of the theoretical knowledge and professionalism of the applicants is carried out through the combination of comprehensive and professional tests in most institutions. Most institutions offer English tests without the distinction of majors,but with few choices. Mover,the paper analyzes the regional maldistribution of universities,the optimization of the enrollment direction,the adjustment of the mentor team and the setting of test subjects.
