Abstract:This paper describes the process about how to load, plot and save data of geotechnical experiment automatically using Madab. In addition it is very effective for noise suppression during data processing. Madab can be used widely in data processing of geotechnical experiment.

Abstract:PulseEKKO PRO ground penetrating radar data storage has its own unique format. The head file is HD extension and the data file is DT1 extension.The two documents are in- troduced in detail in this paper.We read ground penetrating radar data,create a graphical user interface(GUI)in matlab language and display the GPR data on graphical user inter- face.Finally,according to the pipeline detection example,we can see that the result of dis- play is visual.
Application on Ultra-Shallow 3D Seismic Exploration Technology

Abstract:In order to investigate the application effect of ultra shallow 3D seismic exploration method under the noisy environment of urban condition,an ultra shallow 3D seismic survey was carried out to testify a subway tunnel under a traffic road in Shanghai,China.The ultra shallow 3D seismic data was collected using a kind of special 3D seismic data acquisition layout with dense shots and the seismic data acquisition efficiency was increased.Then the seismic data processing software named Omega was used to process the 3D ultra shallow seismic data.The main processing methods included Band-pass filter,F-X domain Linear noise suppress,amplitude compensation,de-convolution,velocity analysis,CDP stack and so on.At last,the 3D seismic dataset was displayed and analyzed using the 3D visual software.The results show that the seismic reflection event of interface between ultra shallow stratums can be seen from stack profiles.Moreover,the distribution of the subsurface subway tunnel can be identified from ultra-shallow 3D seismic investigation.

Abstract:In order to acquire the very water sample and corresponding parameters(such as temperature,salinity,depth) on the supposed vertical profile in the sea,which are taken good advantage of anabyzing the components in the sea water conducive for the scientists to search after natural gas hydrate,we develop the controlling system with LABVIEW,which is a programming software with graphical interfaces,to accomplish accurate sampling,meanwhile filter the unreasonable data collected by CTD,the lake test and stimulant experiments in the laboratory witnessed feasibility and validity of the controlling system.

Abstract:By using the interface of AutoCAD with advanced computer language,a method of 3D-FEM modeling and postprocessing for landslide is proposed.With this method,those initial data are made visualized,not only it is understood easily,but also it handles the affair more quickly,more precisely and more effectively;so it has effectively solved the contradict that the landslide initial data and computational data can not be easily changed to graphics in CAD.At last,taking the Taizishang slope for instance,the results made by 3D-FEM modeling are shown in graphics.
Field Monitoring Of A Geogrid Reinforced Msw Slope

Abstract:Geogrids are used to reinforce the MSW slope in some landfills, but the interactions between MSW and the geogrid reinforcement are not clear at present. Xingfeng landfill used geogrids to strengthen the MSW slope during the project of vertical expansion. To observe the behavior of the reinforced MSW slope, systematic field monitoring was carried out. The vertical earth pressures in the reinforced MSW and the tensile strains of the geogrid reinforcement were measured by earth pressure cells and flexible strain sensors, respectively. The distribution of the vertical earth pressures and the reinforcement strains was nonlinear along the length of reinforcement. The vertical earth pressures were adjusted to not equal the theoretical values due to the deformation of the geogrid reinforcement, indicating the interactions between MSW and geogrid reinforcement were relatively effective. However, due to the geogrid reinforcement is relatively short and doesn't traverse the potential slip surface, the risks of slide still cannot be ignored for this reinforced MSW slope.

Study on Data Processing and Interpretation System of Time-Domain "Mise-a-la-masse" Method

Abstract:"Mise-a-la-masse" method is one of the important electrical prospecting methods early been used to explore and assess metallic ore. It has been applied broadly, developed prosperously. But it still has some problems to resolve. Basing on these, this paper studies the means of data processing and interpretation for time-domain "mise-a-la-masse" method and works out the corresponding program, then preliminary establishes the system which including the following three parts: ratio technique for terrain correction and Fraser filtering of electric potential gradient data; normalized total gradient method to quantitatively resolve geometric parameters of abnormal body; BK inversion method and multi-resolution analysis BK inversion method to retrieve resistivity and chargeability parameters of that abnormal body. The normalized total gradient method is firstly used in the system to qualitatively and quantitatively interpret the data from different directions and the multi-resolution analysis is also been innovatively used in BK inversion in order to lessen the non-uniqueness and unsteadiness. We can get some geometric and geophysical parameters at the same time using this system for the first time. Tested and verified by the lab experiment data, numeric simulated data and field data, it demonstrates the system is a good one which worthy of developing further and applying in practice.

Abstract:As the major heavy equipment in coal mine machine industry,when heading machines are delivered to users after they are produced,a lot of tests will have been carried through to confirm whether all kind of functions could meet the demand of users. Therefore on the base of designing special mutative angle platform,a data acquisition system has been implemented to complete the factory tests. Through designing the whole system and software and hardware,data could be transmitted to center control room,the principle of DCS is applied to this test system,finally the system has been used in SANY Heavy Equipment Co,Ltd. and the effect is fine.

Abstract:The digital image processing technique is implemented to build the geometrical model, and several factors such as the properties of asphalt mastic, the size and volume content of coarse aggregate, the size and ratio of air voids, and aggregate gradations are considered in the model. In the geometrical model, the aggregate are drawn as the equivalent ellipses in order to improve the efficiency of numerical calculation. The numerical method fast multipole boundary element method is employed to predict the elastic modulus of the asphalt concrete, and the test results are compared to verify the accuracy of the established geometrical model and numerical method.
A Methodology for Automatically 3D Geological Modeling Based on Geophysical Data Grids

Abstract:Using 3D visualization models to exhibit geological structure has become a trend in geological studies. Compared to 2D geological mapping, 3D geological modeling is dependent on more geological sampling information. In many cases, however, the geological sampling information is difficult to acquire by drilling (especially for deep subsurface information). Geophysical methods (e.g., Gravity, seismic, and electric) have become the major tools in geological modeling. Because the geophysical data are recorded in a data grid, people must extract the geological information from various data grids acquired through different geophysical methods and subsequently integrate the information to manually construct a 3D geological model. This approach usually causes inconvenience and inefficiencies in practice. Therefore, we propose a methodology of automatically 3D geological modeling based on geophysical data grids. The method first constructs visualization models from different geophysical data grids and subsequently integrates these models for interpretation using mapping rules learned from physical properties of rock samples measured in a laboratory and finally converts the interpreted visualization model to a 3D geological model. With the application in the practical work, the result demonstrates that the methodology can effectively solve problems of 3D geological modeling in the case of enriched geophysical data lacking sufficient geological sampling information.

Abstract:A compression algorithm based on multi-resolution signal decomposition and fast wavelet transform for arbitrarily long data on chemical process was developed in this work. The method's implementation and computing steps are described. Satisfactory outcome was obtained when the method was applied to the compression decompression process of temperature, liquid level, flux and various pressure signals from a paper mill. The simulation results showed that the compression ratio should optimally be about 10, and when the storage requirement is reduced the error is still and small enough to accept.

Abstract:A new sensor data recording system applied in the industrial field is designed.The hardware uses the high resolution,wide dynamic range 16 bit ∑-Δ chip AD7705 to acquire the sensor data,AD7705 links the microcontroller S3C2440A by SPI bus.Its software uses Linux as embedded operating system,and graphical programming language QT is chosen to design the application.The system is applied to the auto spring elastic testing system,acquiring directly the elastic sensor data,real-time displaying and controlling through the touch screen,meeting completely the high precision demands in the industrial field,having high engineering value in the other fields such as environmental monitoring.

Abstract:Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is widely used in many fields, but its data processing is limited by proprietary software and interdisciplinary knowledge. To address this challenge, we introduce GPRlab, a MATLAB-based software for GPR data processing and analysis, intended to serve potential GPR researchers across diverse fields. GPRlab performs GPR B-Scan data processing and A-Scan waveform analysis tasks. GPRlab has the characteristics of supporting diverse data formats, modular processing workflow, and knowledge transfer, making it adaptable for users of different professional levels and application fields. GPRlab has the potential to be a fundamental tool for researching and teaching GPR technology.

Abstract:Abstract Wheel tread wear monitoring is great significance to ensure the safety of train operation. In view of the large amount of data in daily test of tread and the error easily occurred in manual analysis and processing, a solution of automatic processing of tread wear test tool based on MATLAB is proposed. The automatic tool first loads the test data of WPA + wheel profile measuring instrument, eliminates the data with large error, gives the index of wheel wear and generates a report; then according to the generated report, it gives the analysis data of wheel wear, and draws the comparison diagram between the measured tread profile and the standard one, and finally gives the wear analysis conclusion. At last, some test data are used to verify the effectiveness of the program.
Normalizing Large Scale Sensor-Based MWD Data: An Automated Method toward A Unified Database

Abstract:In the context of geo-infrastructures and specifically tunneling projects, analyzing the large-scale sensor-based measurement-while-drilling (MWD) data plays a pivotal role in assessing rock engineering conditions. However, handling the big MWD data due to multiform stacking is a time-consuming and challenging task. Extracting valuable insights and improving the accuracy of geoengineering interpretations from MWD data necessitates a combination of domain expertise and data science skills in an iterative process. To address these challenges and efficiently normalize and filter out noisy data, an automated processing approach integrating the stepwise technique, mode, and percentile gate bands for both single and peer group-based holes was developed. Subsequently, the mathematical concept of a novel normalizing index for classifying such big datasets was also presented. The visualized results from different geo-infrastructure datasets in Sweden indicated that outliers and noisy data can more efficiently be eliminated using single hole-based normalizing. Additionally, a relational unified PostgreSQL database was created to store and automatically transfer the processed and raw MWD as well as real time grouting data that offers a cost effective and efficient data extraction tool. The generated database is expected to facilitate in-depth investigations and enable application of the artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to predict rock quality conditions and design appropriate support systems based on MWD data.

Abstract:The fast development of wireless sensor networks and MEMS make it possible to set up today real-time wireless geotechnical monitoring. To handle interferences and noises from the output data, Kalman filter can be selected as a method to achieve a more realistic estimate of the observations. In this paper, a one-day wireless measurement using accelerometers and inclinometers was deployed on top of a tunnel section under construction in order to monitor ground subsidence. The normal vectors of the sensors were firstly obtained with the help of rotation matrices, and then be projected to the plane of longitudinal section, by which the dip angles over time would be obtained via a trigonometric function. Finally, a centralized Kalman filter was applied to estimate the tilt angles of the sensor nodes based on the data from the embedded accelerometer and the inclinometer. Comparing the results from two sensor nodes deployed away and on the track respectively, the passing of the tunnel boring machine can be identified from unusual performances. Using this method, the ground settlement due to excavation can be measured and a real-time monitoring of ground subsidence can be realized.
Application of long short-term memory neural network in geoelectric field data processing

Abstract:As a method of deep learning, long short-term memory neural network (LSTM) is an important method for signal processing. In this paper, the training datasets are synthesized based on the characteristics of the observed geoelectric field data. The training datasets are used for training the LSTM neural network with a specific structure, while the test datasets are used to evaluate the performance of the trained network. The results indicate that the LSTM neural network works well on the synthetic training datasets. The trained network can learn the characteristics of the samples in training datasets very well, and suppress the signal-to-noise ratio by about 20 dB for the test datasets. The artificial noise with certain frequency can also be removed successfully by the trained network. Applying the trained network to the observed geoelectric data, we find clear tidal responses such as diurnal variation, semidiurnal variation and so on. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of applying the LSTM neural network to geoelectric data processing.

Abstract:In the present paper, a coupled numerical model of gas-solid about the volatile gas transferring in soil of landfill is discussed. The model is based on the theory of mechanics of porous seepage and the theory of fluid-solid interaction mechanics. A non-linear mathematic model about solid waste gas transport in environment media is studied in this paper according to the priority of numerical visualization and capability of PDE toolbox in MATLAB. The pressure distribution of solid waste gas is calculated and simulated. The results show that the pressure of the solid waste gas is increased with the depth of the landfill. The changing of the pressure of the solid waste gas is increased with the time of the landfill. So the numerical simulation results can give specific science evaluation to forecasting environment disaster, which are provided the theory basis for engineering design of security control in landfill. It is very valuable to prevention and cure ground water, air pollution and protecting environment.

We present an algorithm after the analysis of simulation results, real-time measuring data and former achievements.
