Experimental Study of Semi-dry Flue Gas Desulfurization in Circulating Suspension Fluidized Bed

Abstract:An experimental pilot installation for dealing with 1500Nm3/h flue gas has been erected and studies on semi-dry desulfurization technology of flue gas in circulating suspended fluidized beds conducted.The influence of operational parameters(including lingering time of the flue gas in the absorption tower,Ca/S ratio,remoteness from the adiabatic saturation temperature,size of the slurry drops,SO_2 concentration at entrance,flue gas temperature at entrance,etc.) and factors like recirculation of desulfurized ash,on the desulfurization efficiency of the desulfurization tower and that of the whole system,have been investigated.Study results show that among operation parameters,changes in remoteness from the adiabatic saturation temperature,the Ca/S ratio and the slurry drop size all have a noticeable effect on the system's desulfurization efficiency. An increase of recirculating ash is also advantageous for boosting desulfurization efficiency.Figs 18,tables 2 and refs 9.
