Abstract:The principle and the inherent demerits of tuned AC filter are discussed, the detuning due to variation of filter parameters is the main cause of deterioration of filtering performance. The newly developed auto-tuned filters are introduced in this paper. It is the tendency to have the tuned AC filter gain the adaptability to network frequency excursions and filter component variations using active techniques.
