Abstract:Due to the growing complexity of computer networks, more sophisticated management strategies are required for adequate efficiency and reliability. The drawbacks of centralized network management (NM), characterized by a low degree of flexibility, scalability, efficiency and reliability, are clear. Abstract:Put forward a SNMP extensible agent based network simulator design architecture, which applies SNMP Extendible Agent architecture to current SNMP agent simulator systems. It creates one master-agent and several sub-agents. Every sub-agent simulates a network device, and communicates with the SNMP management side via the master-agent. Thus it implements the simulation of a certain size of network and meets the requirement for a test environment during developing network management project.

Abstract:For improving the stability, reliability, and convenient safeguard in network systems, a new method for network fault detection based on the network device running status was proposed. Using the feature of real network and SNMP(simple network management protocol) and TELNET(telecommunication network protocol), the realization of multi-agent network management systems was discussed. The network management system is characterized by rapid network fault detection, determination and treatment, which has intelligence and capacity for self-study, and also shortens the time of network fault (response) and treatment, thus the reliability of the network was improved. With the use of multi-Agent technology, the new way for studying network management has advantages of simple calculation, rapid fault detection, etc.

Abstract:Advances in computer network technology have brought process control theory into a new field. In modern process industry, one of the key issues is how to solve the island automation. A feasible solution is to construct a distributed control system by communication network. In this paper, we propose an intelligent supervisory control system architecture based on multi-agent theory. The system is composed of user agent, management agent, diagnosis agent, optimization agent, regulator agent, measurement agent, data agent and production agent with different objects and tasks. The implementation technology of the agent-based distributed supervisory control system with COM/DCOM and CORBA standard is introduced in detail. Its main advantages include that it is an open, distributed and flexible system, and it has strong reusability and can be easily implemented with the developing software technology.

Abstract:The traditional network management architecture is not suitable for hybrid networks because of high complexity,heterogeneity and integrity of several different kinds of networks(Internet,wireless mobile Ad Hoc network,satellite and other integrated network).This paper addressed a novel management protocol(NMP) for hybrid networks and verified it by using the Manager/Agent system.A special gateway was designed to connect two kinds of agents.The delivery time of message and the length of protocol digital unit were simulated under two kinds of protocols(NMP and SNMP).The results show the better performances of NMP.

This article put forward an INM (intelligent network management) architecture based on CORBA and intelligent agent technology in the domain of telecommunications network management, using intelligent agent distributed management and grouping managed objects to cache. Abstract:A three tier network management model, the Browser Web/Manager Agent, proposed to Web applications aims to realize distributed network management by adopting Web and Java technologies, which are widely used across the Internet. The standard CGI specification and Java programming language were used to translate a user request in HTTP format to the SNMP protocol data format, and vice versa. Abstract:A novel model and architecture of network management Dynamically Constructed Network Management (DCNM) based on the active network technology is proposed in this paper. The network services and applications are treated as "soft equipment" managed by the NMS thus all the resources in the network can be managed under this model. As the function of managed objects, i.e., network services and applications etc., management functions will be dynamically constructed along with the development and deployment of variety of services and applications in the network. This makes management itself an adaptive component of the network. The architecture of dynamically constructed network management is composed of the management center, the middle management node, the data collection node, and the management client. A DCNM prototype has been developed based on our research experiences.

Abstract:In this paper we presented novel distributed network management architecture for self-organizing network to overcome disadvantages that come along with central management approach, like lack of reliability and scalability. By introducing the Distributed Network Agents (DNA), the proposed framework self-organizes and maintains an overly which can fulfill the autonomic communication, and achieve diverse service of management application. Under the proposed architecture, we design and put forward an effective flow-based intelligent system for traffic identification and classification, which provides sound foundation for traffic shaping and control, and for further reasonable accounting as well. So far, little attention has been paid to user perceived Quality of Service (QoS). Our self-organizing management overlay addresses the issue and provides a reliable and scalable basis for end-user QoS monitoring and the performance management. Furthermore, performance analysis and modeling in terms of overall waiting time from users' viewpoint are presented. Incidentally, the model can be used to evaluate the self-organizing DNA overlay performance as well.

Abstract:This paper analyzes the malpractice of the conventional network management, then we analyzes active network and architecture based on policy management and present a active network management architecture based on policy management to implement effective and distribute network management. This model possesses the virtue of active network and policy management, and overcomes the shortcoming of the policy management. It can implement the automatization of management policy actualization and the share of management policy defining and transmitting mechanism. It can provide to customize dynamic network management services. From the imitative experimentation result, we know that this architecture can not only resolve the malpractice of the conventional network management but also improve its performance.

Using the free open net-snmp software packages, the article discusses the SNMP agents design scheme and the implement process based on Linux. Abstract:With the standardization of network technologies and the continual growing of applications based on network,the research on network management are more and more focused on the management of service,and to study and design unified,integrated network management system become extraordinary important.The managed services application mainly receives query request from manager and send trap information to manager through agent which interacts with manager,in the real business platform there are a lot of services to be managed,so how to design a simple,low-cost,high expandable approach for agent extension is the key element to ensure the efficiency and reliability of NMS.Upon that,a design and implementation method for Multi-service agent extension in network management system based on Net-SNMP is presented in this paper: we use Net-SNMP serve as the master agent in a managed node,and embed the subagents into service applications,and the subagent only communicates with master agent to realize the indirect communication between service agent and manager.Practical engineering application result illustrates that the proposed method can work efficiently for the design and development of integrated service network manager,and it can greatly improve the dynamic expandability of the managed equipment and managed services.
