Abstract:We prove some regularity criteria for the incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with partial viscosity. We study three cases: incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with zero viscosity in a bounded domain, incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with zero resistivity in a bounded domain, and the density-dependent magnetohydrodynamic equations with zero heat conductivity and zero resistivity in the whole space [Formula: see text]. Our results extend and improve some known results.

Abstract:This paper studies the three-dimensional density-dependent incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations. First, a regularity criterion is proved which allows the initial density to contain vacuum. Then we establish another blow-up criterion in the Besov space B˙∞,20 when the positive initial density is bounded away from zero. Third, we prove a global nonexistence result for initial density with high decreasing at infinity. Fourth, we obtain a regularity criterion to the density-dependent incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations in a bounded domain. Finally, we also give some remarks on the regularity criteria for the three-dimensional full compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations in a bounded domain and for the incompressible homogeneous magnetohydrodynamic equation in the whole space R3.

Abstract:For the initial boundary problem of the incompressible MHD equations in a bounded domain with general curved boundary in 3D with the general Navier-slip boundary conditions for the velocity field and the perfect conducting condition for the magnetic field, we establish the uniform regularity of conormal Sobolev norms and Lipschitz norms to addressing the anisotropic regularity of tangential and normal directions, which enable us to prove the vanishing dissipation limit as the viscosity and the magnetic diffusion coefficients tend to zero. We overcome the difficulties caused by the intricate interaction of boundary curvature, velocity field, and magnetic fields and resolve the issue caused by the problem that the viscosity and the magnetic diffusion coefficients are not required to be equal.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate a blow-up criterion for compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations. It is shown that if density and velocity satisfy (∥ρ∥L∞(0,T;L∞)+∥u∥C([0,T];L3)<∞), then the strong solutions to isentropic magnetohydrodynamic equations can exist globally over [0,T]. Notably, our analysis accommodates the presence of an initial vacuum.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the 3D compressible non-isentropic MHD equations with zero resistivity in a bounded domain. We first establish a regularity criterion for the strong solutions, and then, we combine it with an abstract bootstrap argument to prove the global well-posedness of the system under some assumptions on the viscosity coefficients and the initial data. Our results do not need the positivity of initial density, and thus, it may vanish in an open subset of the domain.

Abstract:We study the zero viscosity-resistivity limit for the 3D incompressible magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations in a periodic domain in the framework of Gevrey class. We first prove that there exists an interval of time, independent of the viscosity coefficient and the resistivity coefficient, for the solutions to the viscous incompressible MHD equations. Then, based on these uniform estimates, we show that the solutions of the viscous incompressible MHD equations converge to that of the ideal incompressible MHD equations as the viscosity and resistivity coefficients go to zero. Moreover, the convergence rate is also given.

Abstract:We are concerned with the uniform regularity estimates of solutions to the two dimensional compressible non-resistive magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) equations with the no-slip boundary condition on velocity in the half plane. Under the assumption that the initial magnetic field is transverse to the boundary, the uniform conormal energy estimates are established for the solutions to compressible MHD equations with respect to the small viscosity coefficient. As a direct consequence, we proved the inviscid limit of solutions from viscous MHD systems to the ideal MHD systems in L ∞ sense by some compact arguments. Our results show that the transverse magnetic field near the boundary can prevent the strong boundary layers from occurring.

Abstract:In this paper we consider the low Mach number limit of the full compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations for the polytropic ideal gas with zero thermal conductivity coefficient in the whole space R n ( n = 2 , 3 ) . We focus on the case that the pressure varies near its equilibrium state. It means that the density and the temperature may change around their limit functions, and hence generalize the case on the perturbation of the constant states for the density and the temperature. We establish this limit process rigorously when the initial data is well-prepared. Moreover, we also obtain the convergence rates.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the 3D incompressible magnetohydrodynamic equations and establish several logarithmically improved regularity criteria in the homogeneous Besov space. These criteria are based on certain assumptions made in the velocity field and pressure, respectively. The first result solely based on the velocity field indicates that the velocity field plays a dominant role in determining the regularity of weak solutions, when compared with the magnetic field.

Abstract:We prove a blow-up criterion in terms of the upper bound of ( ρ , ρ −1 , θ ) for a strong solution to three dimensional compressible viscous heat-conductive flows. The main ingredient of the proof is an a priori estimate for a quantity independently introduced in Haspot (Regularity of weak solutions of the compressible isentropic Navier–Stokes equation, arXiv:1001.1581, 2010 ) and Sun et al. (J Math Pure Appl 95:36–47, 2011 ), whose divergence can be viewed as the effective viscous flux.
