Abstract:We introduce a type of graph integrals on elliptic curves from the heat kernel. We show that such graph integrals have modular properties under the modular group $SL(2, \Z)$, and prove the polynomial nature of the anti-holomorphic dependence.

Abstract:In this talk we discuss a class of Feynman integrals, which can be expressed to all orders in the dimensional regularisation parameter as iterated integrals of modular forms. We review the mathematical prerequisites related to elliptic curves and modular forms. Feynman integrals, which evaluate to iterated integrals of modular forms go beyond the class of multiple polylogarithms. Nevertheless, we may bring for all examples considered the associated system of differential equations by a non-algebraic transformation to an $\varepsilon$-form, which makes a solution in terms of iterated integrals immediate.

Abstract:We introduce the regularized integrals for decorated graphs on elliptic curves, which produces an almost holomorphic function on upper half plane. Then we give the graph version of holomorphic anomaly equation to study the anti-holomorphic dependence of the graph integral. Finally, we give a general method to compute the graph integral.

Abstract:We introduce a simple procedure to integrate differential forms with arbitrary holomorphic poles on Riemann surfaces. It gives rise to an intrinsic regularization of such singular integrals in terms of the underlying conformal geometry. Applied to products of Riemann surfaces, this regularization scheme establishes an analytic theory for integrals over configuration spaces, including Feynman graph integrals arising from two dimensional chiral quantum field theories. Specializing to elliptic curves, we show such regularized graph integrals are almost-holomorphic modular forms that geometrically provide modular completions of the corresponding ordered A-cycle integrals.

Abstract:We embed Feynman integrals in the subvarieties of Grassmannians through homogenization of the integrands in projective space, then obtain Gel'fand-Kapranov-Zelevinsky systems satisfied by those scalar integrals. The Feynman integral can be written as linear combinations of the hypergeometric functions of a fundamental solution system in neighborhoods of regular singularities of the Gel'fand-Kapranov-Zelevinsky system, whose linear combination coefficients are determined by the integral on an ordinary point or some regular singularities. Taking some Feynman diagrams as examples, we elucidate in detail how to obtain the fundamental solution systems of Feynman integrals in neighborhoods of regular singularities. Abstract:We show that all Feynman integrals in two Euclidean dimensions with massless propagators and arbitrary non-integer propagator powers can be expressed in terms of single-valued analogues of Aomoto-Gelfand hypergeometric functions. The latter can themselves be written as bilinears of hypergeometric functions, with coefficients that are intersection numbers in a twisted homology group. As an application, we show that all one-loop integrals in two dimensions with massless propagators can be written in terms of Lauricella functions, while the L -loop ladder integrals are related to the generalised hypergeometric L +1 F L functions.

Abstract:In this talk we discuss the construction of a basis of master integrals for the family of the $l$-loop equal-mass banana integrals, such that the differential equation is in an $\varepsilon$-factorised form. As the $l$-loop banana integral is related to a Calabi-Yau $(l-1)$-fold, this extends the examples where an $\varepsilon$-factorised form has been found from Feynman integrals related to curves (of genus zero and one) to Feynman integrals related to higher-dimensional varieties.

Non-holomorphic modular forms from zeta generators

Abstract:We study non-holomorphic modular forms built from iterated integrals of holomorphic modular forms for SL$(2,\mathbb Z)$ known as equivariant iterated Eisenstein integrals. A special subclass of them furnishes an equivalent description of the modular graph forms appearing in the low-energy expansion of string amplitudes at genus one. Notably the Fourier expansion of modular graph forms contains single-valued multiple zeta values. We deduce the appearance of products and higher-depth instances of multiple zeta values in equivariant iterated Eisenstein integrals, and ultimately modular graph forms, from the appearance of simpler odd Riemann zeta values. This analysis relies on so-called zeta generators which act on certain non-commutative variables in the generating series of the iterated integrals. From an extension of these non-commutative variables we incorporate iterated integrals involving holomorphic cusp forms into our setup and use them to construct the modular completion of triple Eisenstein integrals. Our work represents a fully explicit realisation of the modular graph forms within Brown's framework of equivariant iterated Eisenstein integrals and reveals structural analogies between single-valued period functions appearing in genus zero and one string amplitudes.

Generalised graph Laplacians and canonical Feynman integrals with kinematics

Abstract:To any graph with external half-edges and internal masses, we associate canonical integrals which depend non-trivially on particle masses and momenta, and are always finite. They are generalised Feynman integrals which satisfy graphical relations obtained from contracting edges in graphs, and a coproduct involving both ultra-violet and infra-red subgraphs. Their integrands are defined by evaluating bi-invariant forms which represent stable classes in the cohomology of the general linear group on a generalised graph Laplacian matrix which depends on the external kinematics of a graph.

Abstract:We initiate a systematic study of one-loop integrals by investigating the connection between their singularity structures and geometric configurations in the projective space associated to their Feynman parametrization. We analyze these integrals by two recursive methods, which leads to two independent algebraic algorithms that determine the symbols of any one-loop integrals in arbitrary spacetime dimensions. The discontinuities of Feynman diagrams are shown to arise from taking certain "spherical contour" residues in Feynman parameter space, which is geometrically interpreted as a projection of the quadric surface (associated to the Symanzik polynomial at one loop) through faces of the integration region (which is a simplex). This geometry also leads to a manifestly Lorentz-invariant understanding for perturbative unitarity at one loop.
Cycle integrals of meromorphic modular forms and Siegel theta functions

Abstract:We study meromorphic modular forms associated with positive definite binary quadratic forms and their cycle integrals along closed geodesics in the modular curve. We show that suitable linear combinations of these meromorphic modular forms have rational cycle integrals. Along the way, we evaluate the cycle integrals of the Siegel theta function associated with an even lattice of signature $(1,2)$ in terms of Hecke's indefinite theta functions, which is of independent interest.

Abstract:We find that all Feynman integrals (FIs), having any number of loops, can be completely determined once linear relations between FIs are provided. Therefore, FI computation is conceptually changed to a linear algebraic problem. Examples up to five loops are given to verify this observation. As a by-product, we obtain a powerful method to calculate perturbative corrections in quantum field theory.
Self-dualities and Galois symmetries in Feynman integrals

Abstract:It is well-known that all Feynman integrals within a given family can be expressed as a finite linear combination of master integrals. The master integrals naturally group into sectors. Starting from two loops, there can exist sectors made up of more than one master integral. In this paper we show that such sectors may have additional symmetries. First of all, self-duality, which was first observed in Feynman integrals related to Calabi--Yau geometries, often carries over to non-Calabi--Yau Feynman integrals. Secondly, we show that in addition there can exist Galois symmetries relating integrals. In the simplest case of two master integrals within a sector, whose definition involves a square root $r$, we may choose a basis $(I_1,I_2)$ such that $I_2$ is obtained from $I_1$ by the substitution $r \rightarrow -r$. This pattern also persists in sectors, which a priori are not related to any square root with dependence on the kinematic variables. We show in several examples that in such cases a suitable redefinition of the integrals introduces constant square roots like $\sqrt{3}$. The new master integrals are then again related by a Galois symmetry, for example the substitution $\sqrt{3} \rightarrow -\sqrt{3}$. To handle the case where the argument of a square root would be a perfect square we introduce a limit Galois symmetry. Both self-duality and Galois symmetries constrain the differential equation.

Abstract:This article gives a short step-by-step introduction to the representation of parametric Feynman integrals in scalar perturbative quantum field theory as periods of motives. The application of motivic Galois theory to the algebro-geometric and categorical structures underlying Feynman graphs is reviewed up to the current state of research. The example of primitive log-divergent Feynman graphs in scalar massless $\phi^4$ quantum field theory is analysed in detail.

Abstract:Matrix-valued holomorphic quantum modular forms are intricate objects that arise in successive refinements of the Volume Conjecture of knots and involve three holomorphic, asymptotic and arithmetic objects. It is expected that the algebraic properties of these objects can be deduced from the algebraic properties of descendant state integrals, and we illustrate this for the case of the $(-2,3,7)$-pretzel knot.
