Abstract:We introduce a type of graph integrals which are holomorphic analogs of configuration space integrals. We prove their (ultraviolet) finiteness by considering a compactification of the moduli space of graphs with metrics, and study their failure to be holomorphic.

Abstract:We introduce the regularized integrals for decorated graphs on elliptic curves, which produces an almost holomorphic function on upper half plane. Then we give the graph version of holomorphic anomaly equation to study the anti-holomorphic dependence of the graph integral. Finally, we give a general method to compute the graph integral.

Abstract:We introduce a type of graph integrals on elliptic curves from the heat kernel. We show that such graph integrals have modular properties under the modular group $SL(2, \Z)$, and prove the polynomial nature of the anti-holomorphic dependence.

Abstract:We embed Feynman integrals in the subvarieties of Grassmannians through homogenization of the integrands in projective space, then obtain Gel'fand-Kapranov-Zelevinsky systems satisfied by those scalar integrals. The Feynman integral can be written as linear combinations of the hypergeometric functions of a fundamental solution system in neighborhoods of regular singularities of the Gel'fand-Kapranov-Zelevinsky system, whose linear combination coefficients are determined by the integral on an ordinary point or some regular singularities. Taking some Feynman diagrams as examples, we elucidate in detail how to obtain the fundamental solution systems of Feynman integrals in neighborhoods of regular singularities. Feynman integrals in two dimensions and single-valued hypergeometric functions

Abstract:We show that all Feynman integrals in two Euclidean dimensions with massless propagators and arbitrary non-integer propagator powers can be expressed in terms of single-valued analogues of Aomoto-Gelfand hypergeometric functions. The latter can themselves be written as bilinears of hypergeometric functions, with coefficients that are intersection numbers in a twisted homology group. As an application, we show that all one-loop integrals in two dimensions with massless propagators can be written in terms of Lauricella $F_D^{(r)}$ functions, while the $L$-loop ladder integrals are related to the generalised hypergeometric ${}_{L+1}F_L$ functions.

Generalised graph Laplacians and canonical Feynman integrals with kinematics

Abstract:To any graph with external half-edges and internal masses, we associate canonical integrals which depend non-trivially on particle masses and momenta, and are always finite. They are generalised Feynman integrals which satisfy graphical relations obtained from contracting edges in graphs, and a coproduct involving both ultra-violet and infra-red subgraphs. Their integrands are defined by evaluating bi-invariant forms which represent stable classes in the cohomology of the general linear group on a generalised graph Laplacian matrix which depends on the external kinematics of a graph.

Finite Feynman Integrals

Abstract:We describe an algorithm to organize Feynman integrals in terms of their infrared properties. Our approach builds upon the theory of Landau singularities, which we use to classify all configurations of loop momenta that can give rise to infrared divergences. We then construct bases of numerators for arbitrary Feynman integrals, which cancel all singularities and render the integrals finite. Through the same analysis, one can also classify so-called evanescent and evanescently finite Feynman integrals. These are integrals whose vanishing or finiteness relies on properties of dimensional regularization. To illustrate the use of these integrals, we display how to obtain a simpler form for the leading-color two-loop four-gluon scattering amplitude through the choice of a suitable basis of finite integrals. In particular, when all gluon helicities are equal, we show that with our basis the most complicated double-box integrals do not contribute to the finite remainder of the scattering amplitude.

Abstract:We investigate a class of random graph ensembles based on the Feynman graphs of multidimensional integrals, representing statistical-mechanical partition functions. We show that the resulting ensembles of random graphs strongly resemble those defined in random graphs with hidden color (CDRG), generalizing the known relation of the Feynman graphs of simple one-dimensional integrals to random graphs with a given degree distribution.

Abstract:We study the symbology of planar Feynman integrals in dimensional regularization by considering geometric configurations in momentum twistor space corresponding to their leading singularities (LS). Cutting propagators in momentum twistor space amounts to intersecting lines associated with loop and external dual momenta, including the special line associated with the point at infinity, which breaks dual conformal symmetry. We show that cross-ratios of intersection points on these lines, especially those on the infinity line, naturally produce symbol letters for Feynman integrals in D = 4 − 2 ε , which include and generalize their LS. At one loop, we obtain all symbol letters using intersection points from quadruple cuts for integrals up to pentagon kinematics with two massive corners, which agree perfectly with canonical differential equation (CDE) results. We then obtain all two-loop letters, for up to four-mass box and one-mass pentagon kinematics, by considering more intersections arising from two-loop cuts. Finally we comment on how cluster algebras appear from this construction, and importantly how we may extend the method to non-planar integrals.

Feynman path integrals on compact Lie groups with bi-invariant Riemannian metrics and Schrödinger equations

Abstract:In this work we consider a suitable generalization of the Feynman path integral on a specific class of Riemannian manifolds consisting of compact Lie groups with bi-invariant Riemannian metrics. The main tools we use are the Cartan development map, the notion of oscillatory integral, and the Chernoff approximation theorem. We prove that, for a class of functions of a dense subspace of the relevant Hilbert space, the Feynman map produces the solution of the Schrödinger equation, where the Laplace-Beltrami operator coincides with the second order Casimir operator of the group.

Finite Integrals from Feynman Polytopes

Abstract:We investigate a geometric approach to determining the complete set of numerators giving rise to finite Feynman integrals. Our approach proceeds graph by graph, and makes use of the Newton polytope associated to the integral's Symanzik polynomials. It relies on a theorem by Berkesch, Forsgård, and Passare on the convergence of Euler--Mellin integrals, which include Feynman integrals. We conjecture that a necessary in addition to a sufficient condition is that all parameter-space monomials lie in the interior of the polytope. We present an algorithm for finding all finite numerators based on this conjecture. In a variety of examples, we find agreement between the results obtained using the geometric approach, and a Landau-analysis approach developed by Gambuti, Tancredi, and two of the authors.

Abstract:This talk reviews recent developments in the field of analytical Feynman integral calculations. The central theme is the geometry associated to a given Feynman integral. In the simplest case this is a complex curve of genus zero (aka the Riemann sphere). In this talk we discuss Feynman integrals related to more complicated geometries like curves of higher genus or manifolds of higher dimensions. In the latter case we encounter Calabi-Yau manifolds. We also discuss how to compute these Feynman integrals.

Abstract:In this talk we discuss the construction of a basis of master integrals for the family of the $l$-loop equal-mass banana integrals, such that the differential equation is in an $\varepsilon$-factorised form. As the $l$-loop banana integral is related to a Calabi-Yau $(l-1)$-fold, this extends the examples where an $\varepsilon$-factorised form has been found from Feynman integrals related to curves (of genus zero and one) to Feynman integrals related to higher-dimensional varieties.

Abstract:This expository text is about using toric geometry and mirror symmetry for evaluating Feynman integrals. We show that the maximal cut of a Feynman integral is a GKZ hypergeometric series. We explain how this allows to determine the minimal differential operator acting on the Feynman integrals. We illustrate the method on sunset integrals in two dimensions at various loop orders. The graph polynomials of the multi-loop sunset Feynman graphs lead to reflexive polytopes containing the origin and the associated variety are ambient spaces for Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces. Therefore the sunset family is a natural home for mirror symmetry techniques. We review the evaluation of the two-loop sunset integral as an elliptic dilogarithm and as a trilogarithm. The equivalence between these two expressions is a consequence of (1) the local mirror symmetry for the non-compact Calabi-Yau three-fold obtained as the anti-canonical hypersurface of the del Pezzo surface of degree 6 defined by the sunset graph polynomial and (2) that the sunset Feynman integral is expressed in terms of the local Gromov-Witten prepotential of this del Pezzo surface.

Abstract:In this note, we introduce and study a new class of "half integrands" in Cachazo-He-Yuan (CHY) formula, which naturally generalize the so-called Parke-Taylor factors; these are dubbed Cayley functions as each of them corresponds to a labelled tree graph. The CHY formula with a Cayley function squared gives a sum of Feynman diagrams, and we represent it by a combinatoric polytope whose vertices correspond to Feynman diagrams. We provide a simple graphic rule to derive the polytope from a labelled tree graph, and classify such polytopes ranging from the associahedron to the permutohedron. Furthermore, we study the linear space of such half integrands and find (1) a nice formula reducing any Cayley function to a sum of Parke-Taylor factors in the Kleiss-Kuijf basis (2) a set of Cayley functions as a new basis of the space; each element has the remarkable property that its CHY formula with a given Parke-Taylor factor gives either a single Feynman diagram or zero. We also briefly discuss applications of Cayley functions and the new basis in certain disk integrals of superstring theory.

Abstract:In this paper we introduce a notion of Feynman geometry on which quantum field theories could be properly defined. A strong Feynman geometry is a geometry when the vector space of $A_\infty$ structures is finite dimensional. A weak Feynman geometry is a geometry when the vector space of $A_\infty$ structures is infinite dimensional while the relevant operators are of trace-class. We construct families of Feynman geometries with "continuum" as their limit.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the singularities of Feynman integrals using homological techniques. We analyse the Feynman integrals by compactifying the integration domain as well as the ambient space by embedding them in higher-dimensional space. In this compactified space the singularities occur due to the meeting of compactified propagators at non-general position. The present analysis, which had been previously used only for the singularities of second-type, is used to study other kinds of singularities viz threshold, pseudo-threshold and anomalous threshold singularities. We study various one-loop and two-loop examples and obtain their singularities. We also present observations based on results obtained, that allow us to determine whether the singularities lie on the physical sheet or not for some simple cases. Thus this work at the frontier of our knowledge of Feynman integral calculus sheds insight into the analytic structure.
