Abstract: In this paper, we study Lie Rinehart bialgebras, the algebraic generalization of Lie bialgebroids. More precisely, we analyze the structure of Lie Rinehart bialgebras for crossed products induced by actions of Lie algebras on K[t].

Abstract:Let g be a Lie algebra over a field K. Endow the polynomial ring K[t] with a g-action by derivations and consider the resulting crossed product K[t]⊙θg in the category of (K,K[t])-Lie algebras. We explore Lie-Rinehart bialgebra structures on (K[t],K[t]⊙θg) that arise via compatible pairs and ε-dynamical r-matrices. We give a complete classification for g=sl(2,K).

Abstract:We define the notion of crossed modules for Lie 2-algebras. To a given crossed module, we associate a strict Lie 3-algebra structure on its mapping cone complex and a strict Lie 2-algebra structure on its derivations. Finally, we classify strong crossed modules by means of the third cohomology group of Lie 2-algebras.

Abstract:The goal of the present paper is to provide a cohomology theory and crossed modules of modified Rota–Baxter pre-Lie algebras. We introduce the notion of a modified Rota–Baxter pre-Lie algebra and its bimodule. We define a cohomology of modified Rota–Baxter pre-Lie algebras with coefficients in a suitable bimodule. Furthermore, we study the infinitesimal deformations and abelian extensions of modified Rota–Baxter pre-Lie algebras and relate them with the second cohomology groups. Finally, we investigate skeletal and strict modified Rota–Baxter pre-Lie 2-algebras. We show that skeletal modified Rota–Baxter pre-Lie 2-algebras can be classified into the third cohomology group, and strict modified Rota–Baxter pre-Lie 2-algebras are equivalent to the crossed modules of modified Rota–Baxter pre-Lie algebras.

Abstract:We develop a theory of crossed products by "actions" of Hecke pairs $(G, \Gamma)$, motivated by applications in non-abelian $C^*$-duality. Our approach gives back the usual crossed product construction whenever $G / \Gamma$ is a group and retains many of the aspects of crossed products by groups. In this first of two articles we lay the $^*$-algebraic foundations of these crossed products by Hecke pairs and we explore their representation theory.

Abstract:We study Lie-Rinehart algebra structures in the framework provided by a duality pairing of modules over a unital commutative associative algebra. Thus, we construct examples of Lie brackets corresponding to a fixed anchor map whose image is a cyclic submodule of the derivation module, and therefore we call them cyclic Lie-Rinehart algebras. In a very special case of our construction, these brackets turn out to be related to certain differential operators that occur in mathematical physics.

Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to give a brief introduction to the category of Lie Rinehart algebras and introduces the concept of smooth manifolds associated with a unitary, commutative, associative algebra A. It especially shows that the A-extended algebra as well as the action algebra can be realized a the space of A-left invariant vector fields on a Lie group, analogous to the well known relationship of Lie algebras and Lie groups.

Abstract:In a previous paper we proved a result of the type "invariance under twisting" for Brzezinski's crossed products. In this paper we prove a converse of this result, obtaining thus a characterization of what we call equivalent crossed products. As an application, we characterize cross product bialgebras (in the sense of Bespalov and Drabant) that are equivalent (in a certain sense) to a given cross product bialgebra in which one of the factors is a bialgebra and whose coalgebra structure is a tensor product coalgebra.

Abstract:In this paper, we first introduce the notion of projective Banach Lie bialgebras as the projective tensor product analogue of Banach Lie bialgebras. Then we consider the completion of the classical Yang-Baxter equation and classical r-matrices, and propose the notions of the projective Yang-Baxter equation and projective r-matrices. As in the finite-dimensional case, we prove that every quasi-triangular projective r-matrix gives rise to a projective Banach Lie bialgebra. Next adapting Poisson Banach-Lie groups to the projective tensor product setting, we propose the notion of projective Banach Poisson-Lie groups and show that the differentiation of a projective Banach Poisson-Lie group has the projective Banach Lie bialgebra structure. Finally considering bounded $\mathcal{O}$-operators on Banach Lie algebras, we give an equivalent description of triangular projective r-matrices.

Abstract:Let H and its dual H * be finite dimensional semisimple Hopf algebras. In this paper, we firstly prove that the derived representation types of an algebra A and the crossed product algebra A # σ H are coincident. This is an improvement of the conclusion about representation type of an algebra in Li and Zhang [Sci China Ser A, 2006, 50: 1–13]. Secondly, we give the relationship between Gorenstein projective modules over A and that over A # σH . Then, using this result, it is proven that A is a finite dimensional CM-finite Gorenstein algebra if and only if so is A # σ H .

Abstract:Given a Lie algebra $\mathfrak g$ and a $\mathfrak{g}$-module $V$, it is due to Gerstenhaber that there is an isomorphism between $H^3(\mathfrak{g}, V )$ and the group of equivalence classes of crossed modules with kernel $V$ and cokernel $\mathfrak {g}$. The goal of this article is to obtain this result for pre-Lie algebras and their modules.

Abstract:The notion of a simple extended Lie Rinehart algebra is defined and this gives a way to construct Lie Rinehart algebras via derivations.It is a special kind of the action Lie Rinehart algebras.Under the condition that the coefficient ring is a commutative algbra and has no zero-divizors,the full classifaction of such simple extended Lie Rinehart algebras is given.For the action Lie Rinehart algebras which arise from nontrivial actions on the ring of polynomials,it is proved that they must be simple extended Lie Rinehart algebras and their standard forms are given.

Abstract: We invent a new cohomology theory for Lie triple algebras. Using this cohomology, we introduce the notions of 2-term $L_\infty$-triple algebras and Lie triple 2-algebras. We prove that the category of 2-term $L_\infty$-triple algebras is equivalent to the category of Lie triple 2-algebras. Crossed modules of Lie triple algebras are studied in detail.

Abstract:We show that every Born Lie algebra can be obtained by the bicross product construction starting from two pseudo-Riemannian Lie algebras. We then obtain a classification of all Lie algebras up to dimension four and all six-dimensional nilpotent Lie algebras admitting an integrable Born structure. Finally, we study the curvature properties of the pseudo-Riemannian metrics of the integrable Born structures obtained in our classification results.

We find certain freeness conditions which guarantee that any intermediate $C^*$-algebra $A \rtimes_{\alpha,r} \Gamma \subseteq C \subseteq B \rtimes_{\alpha,r} \Gamma$ is a crossed product of an intermediate invariant subalgebra $A \subseteq C_0 \subseteq B$ by $\Gamma$. Those are used to generalize related results by Suzuki.

Abstract:We prove that, for any transitive Lie bialgebroid (A, A∗), the differential associated to the Lie algebroid structure on A∗ has the form d∗=[Λ,⋅]A+Ω, where Λ is a section of ∧2A and Ω is a Lie algebroid 1-cocycle for the adjoint representation of A. Globally, for any transitive Poisson groupoid (Γ,Π), the Poisson structure has the form Π=Λ←−Λ→+ΠF, where ΠF is a bivector field on Γ associated to a Lie groupoid 1-cocycle.

Abstract:We generalize Lie bialgebras and Lie bialgebroids to new objects which we call generalized Lie bialgebras. Similar to Lie bialgebras and Lie bialgebroids, generalized Lie bialgebras are self-dual and generate canonically Hamiltonian structures on their representative spaces. We show that for a generalized Lie bialgebra (E, (E) over bar), a pair (L-1, L-2) of E + (E) over bar is again a generalized Lie bialgebra iff (L-1, L2) is a Dirac structure pair. Construction of generalized Lie bialgebras by using Poisson tensors and Hamiltonian operators are also discussed in detail and an example relating to an infinite-dimensional integrable system is given.
