THE ESTABLISHMENT OF OPTICAL IMAGING SYSTEM BASED ON INTRINSIC SIGNALS

Abstract:Brain optical imaging based on intrinsic signals is a newly emerging technique in 1990’s. Because of its high spatial resolution, ability of chronic recording, easiness to use and low cost, it becomes a powerful tool for studying the functional organization of the brain, especially the visual and auditory cortex. The first set of brain optical imaging system in China was recently designed and established in our lab. Some preliminary results recorded with the apparatus were also reported.
