The Rank of Problems of Rural Doctors in China by Severity Based on Literature Analysis

Abstract:Objective To explore the rank of problems of rural doctors in China by severity based on literature analysis. Methods A total of 308 pieces of literature relevant with rural doctor were retrieved from CNKI. Through literature review,the regions,authors’ affiliation level and concerned fields of the problems were collected. The breadth of the severity of the problems was showed by the proportion of a problem in all problems mentioned recognized by authors; the depth of the severity of the problems was shown by three indexes,including territorial scope,concerned fields and authors’ affiliation level,with each index assigned with a certain value; the rank of the problems by severity was worked out according to the breadth and depth of the problems. Results The first four problems by severity were low academic degree, imperfect mechanism of education and training,old- age security mechanism and aging. Conclusion The study worked out the rank of problems of rural doctors in China by severity,which could provide valuable references for making relevant policies to stabilize the team of rural doctors.
