Abstract:Through the brief introduction of works in the western architectural theory, the article presents the development situation of western architectural history and theory and the emphasis on its course in the architectural education system of western colleges. Also, it overviews the translation and introduction of the important oversea architectural theory works in the Chinese counterpart field and introduces the translation and introduction process of the "Library of Western Classical Architectural Theory" in order to improve the knowledge structure of the western architectural theory history in Chinese architectural education and enhance understanding of classical theory works in Chinese architecture field.
