They are passionate about participatory research methods and utilizing expressive arts to facilitate social change.Zahyyeh Abu-Rubieh is a dedicated public health professional with a master's degree in public health,specializing in global health,from Washington University in St. Louis. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Society from Cornell University. Zahyyeh's academic background,combined with practical experience in research,programme development,and community engagement,has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of public health challenges and solutions. Her passion for service was ignited during her year teaching with Teach for America. Zahyyeh is passionate about promoting health equity and empowering underserved communities to achieve optimal health outcomes. With a strong commitment to preventive measures and a focus on community-driven interventions,she is dedicated to making a positive impact on public health at both the local and global levels.Lily Coll is graduating this spring from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Women,Gender,and Sexuality Studies. Lily currently works as a Research Assistant to Dr. Lindsay Stark and Dr. Ilana Seff,supporting a variety of projects related to the well-being of women and children in humanitarian settings. In her senior year,Lily completed an honors thesis focused on evaluating the education of genetic counselors on disability. In addition to her academics,Lily was an intern for the Texas Policy Evaluation Project at the University of Texas at Austin where she promoted reproductive health access via abortion/contraception policy analysis in Texas. Next year,Lily will attend Columbia's Mailman School of Public Health to complete her Master's in Public Health in their Department of Population and Family Health,pursuing her research interests in reproductive health and justice.Manar Matti holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English as a Foreign Language and English Literature. She is fluent in English,Arabic,and her mother tongue,Chaldean. Manar is a professional Arabic/English translator,interpreter,and instructor. Her international community development experience includes working with USAID-funded NGOs in Iraq to support local NGOs through civil society and civic dialogue programme coordination. Manar also held a role supporting Iraqi refugee youth and their families living in Syria via mentoring,academic tutoring,social-emotional learning,and food and supply distribution. In the United States,Manar's continued passion for supporting immigrant and refugee populations led her to work with newcomer students as an ELL Instructor in local school districts. In her current role as a Home Visitor with the Wellness Program at Refugee One,Manar supports the developmental parenting of refugee families with children aged 0-3 using the Baby TALK model and curriculum and supports staff professional development through the facilitation of the Zero to Three "The Growing Brain" training curriculum.Carine Allaf has 20 years of experience working as a teacher,scholar,and practitioner in various countries all over the world. Carine currently leads QFI's geographic expansion,monitoring,evaluation,and research. Prior to joining QFI,Carine worked in the international education humanitarian and development field as a lecturer at Teachers College,Columbia University,and as a teacher at the American Community School in Beirut,Lebanon,as well with organizations such as Save the Children,UNICEF,and the INEE. Domestically she worked in the Philadelphia and New York City public school systems. Carine graduated from Lehigh University and received her Master's in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College,Columbia University,and her PhD in International Comparative Education from UCLA.Ilana Seff's research agenda focuses on improving the lives of vulnerable and marginalized populations across the globe using evidence-based solutions. Her broad research experience and interests include the prevention of violence against women and girls,particularly in humanitarian settings,social norms related to violence,and the psychosocial well-being and mental health of refugees and displaced populations. Currently,Dr. Seff is a Research Assistant Professor at Washington University in St. Louis. Her work employs mixed-methods approaches to evaluate and inform interventions,emphasizing the importance of coupling qualitative insights with innovative and valid quantitative measures. Seff received her DrPH in Global Health and Humanitarian Systems from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University,and an MPH from the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University.Lindsay Stark is a Professor of Public Health and Associate Dean of Global Programs at Washington University in St. Louis. She is an internationally recognized expert on the protection and well-being of women and children in situations of extreme adversity,with more than two decades of experience leading applied research with operational agencies such as UNICEF,UNHCR,International Rescue Committee and the Women's Refugee Commission. Dr. Stark measures sensitive social phenomena and evaluates related interventions to reduce violence,abuse and exploitation of women and children. She serves on the editorial boards of PLOS One,BMC Public Health,and Conflict and Health; and has published more than 100 chapters and peer-review articles. Dr. Stark holds a DrPH from Columbia University.
