Abstract:Poisson white noise is a typical non-Gaussian noise that can induce stochastic resonance to detect feature signals submerged within it. In this paper, we propose a detection method for overdamped tri-stable stochastic resonance in Poisson white noise environment. Based on the model of over-damped tri-stable stochastic resonance. To begin with, the influence of the parameters of the tri-stable system on the potential function is studied. Then, the cross-correlation coefficient C sx is used to measure Poisson white noise under different pulse arrival rates β, system structural parameters a , b , c , and noise intensity D the law of action on system resonance. Ultimately, the system is successfully applied to the fault diagnosis of bearing under variable speed conditions and the background of Poisson white noise, and the simulation and experimental results are compared with the classical bistable system. The findings suggest that the performance of the system significantly surpasses that of the classical bistable system.

Abstract:The effect of time delay on binary signal detection via a bistable system in the presence of white or colored Gaussian noise is investigated. By defining the bit error rate based on the solution of the approximated Fokker-Planck equation, the detector performance is investigated theoretically and is verified by Monte Carlo simulation. It is shown that, when the system parameter or noise intensity is optimally chosen, the increasing time delay generally improves the system performance. It is also shown that it is more difficult to accurately predict the system performance with a larger time delay and correlation time. This may inspire more thorough investigations in cooperative effects of a nonlinear system and time delay on signal processing.

Abstract:For the detection of weak signal in strong noise background, a novel method was proposed based on conventional detection method. This method referred to the weak signal detection using autocorrelation jointed with wavelet threshold transformation and frequency modulation. The united denoising system of autocorrelation and wavelet threshold transformation was combined, so the negative impact from the noise was avoided greatly in the detection result. Using standard signal with adjustable frequency to modulate the measured signal frequency, thus the frequency difference of standard signal and the measured signal meet the testing conditions. It broke the restrictions of Duffing oscillator, which can only detect signals with the frequency similar to the system periodic driving force. The twooscillator-difference method is more intuitive, having good anti-noise performance, and the relative error is controlled under 5%. The system has a strong anti-interference, and the minimum signal-to-noise ratio can reach −41 dB. The feasibility and validity of this method were proved by the simulation results.

The robust stability of uncertain linear neutral systems with multiple delays is investigated in this paper. For the neutral systems with equal neutral and discrete delays, we established a new integral inequality which is specifically suitable for the stability analysis of such neutral systems. Based on the inequality, the delay-dependent stability criteria with reduced conservatism are derived without the requirements of model transformation and bounding for cross terms. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
