Abstract:•Metabolite spectra in alkaline chemostat of 35, 55 and 70 °C MCF are demonstrated.•The main metabolites include acetate, ethanol, propionate, lactate and formate.•The yields of ethanol and formate increase in more alkaline pH at 35 °C and 55 °C.•The yields of ethanol, acetate, and formate increase in more alkaline pH at 70 °C.•The biomass yield of alkaline MCF decreases as temperature increases.
