Abstract:The development of higher vocational education in China embodies a global trend of vocationalism that values skills and skilled workers, which is opposite, in some ways, to the Confucian tradition in Chinese education that values theoretical knowledge related to good governance. As the cultural trend supporting the development of higher vocational education, vocationalism is implicated in certain challenges including high tuition fees, limited upward mobility, and neglect of the humanities in education. Humanities for moral education, and mechanisms for upward mobility on equal terms for all, which are fundamental elements of Confucianism, may help resolve these challenges. This paper embodies the dialectic of a global trend and local culture in educational reform within the context of globalization.

Abstract:The specific form of vocational education is embedded in the specific social structure and economic system.This “double embedding” determines that the construction of modern vocational education system is the process of vocational education socialization.At present, the social environment, economic development mode, industrial system form and other external environment on which China’s vocational education depends for its survival and development are undergoing profound changes and adjustments.There are practical problems in vocational education, such as lack of attraction and adaptability.The construction of high-quality vocational education system should follow the construction logic of social embeddedness, political embeddedness, market embeddedness and technology embeddedness.From the perspective of social embeddedness, it should meet the social demand for high-quality vocational education supply; from the perspective of political embeddedness, it should realize the modernization of vocational education governance system and governance capacity; from the perspective of market embeddedness, it should improve the coordination operation mechanism of vocational education system and industrial system; and from the perspective of technology embeddness, it should provide technical and talent support for the construction of modern industrial system.

Abstract:It is necessary to reflect and deepen on the core values of vocational education development , because there has been a significant return of interests in the policy community ,whilst it is not the case in the academic field. The core values of traditional vocational education development are to serve the economic development,they lack of humanistic attribute and ignoreability transformation,and their policies focus more on efficiency. According to human development theory , the core values of vocational education developments hould be based on the free access to basic education ,focus more on freedom to create ,abilities to live harmoniously , and finally create a human-centered harmonious society. According to the deep core values ,Chinese vocational education policies should be made in a broader version to guaranteeaccess to civil basic education rights ,enhance creativity and morality,promote work in a decent manner and live with dignity.

Abstract:Campus education and social training are the two most important functions of vocational colleges. Attaching importance to campus education while neglecting social training is a long-standing problem in vocational colleges. Vigorously developing higher vocational education is an inevitable requirement for the high-quality development of education in China and the ardent expectation of the public. Only through the construction a scientific and efficient education and training system and the deep integration of campus education with social training can the design of complementary resources and the improvement of talent training quality take place. The vocational education and training system contains many elements. This study takes teaching resources, teaching staff, and management mechanism as the main research subject and carries out related research work. Firstly, this paper expounds the policy documents of the Chinese government and emphasizes the importance of vocational education. Secondly, the relevant research results of scholars are reviewed. Thirdly, this paper proposes several specific suggestions for the construction of key elements of the vocational education and training system. Then, the main conclusions and prospects are summarized.

Abstract:This study delves into the current state and challenges of vocational education through a comparative study of cross-national vocational education and an analysis of the Zhaixing Academy case. The research reveals that vocational education reform can draw on the experiences of the German dual system, American community colleges, and Chinese vocational education reforms, with a focus on informal education pathways, practice-oriented teaching, and flexible training methods. The Zhaixing Academy case demonstrates the application of practice-oriented teaching approaches in the field of vocational education, emphasizing individual student development needs and the advantages of education outside formal institutions, offering new insights and references for the current Chinese education system. The study proposes that governments and education departments should increase investment in vocational education, encourage collaboration between enterprises and vocational education institutions, and support innovative practice-oriented education. In the future, Zhaixing Academy can continue to focus on education reform, expand the realm of practice-oriented education, promote its educational philosophy and methods, and contribute to the diversification and sustainable development of education.

Abstract:British Experiences on vocational education are as follows:attaching importance to legislation about vocational education; Considering student-centered as their education ideas; Combining ordinary education into vocational education;coorperating between education departments and enterprises;practicing energetically the system of national vocation qualifications; on reform of curriculum initiating education and training based on ability standard. According to the experiences above, the author puts forward the following ideas: the model of running school, such as one object, two supports and a platform of their levels; the thought of constructing their kinds of tropps. That is the total process of educating and teaching opsitioning at exact cultivated object; running schools depending upon trade organization and trade research association; setting up talent cultivated model on interaction between schools and enterprises; buildintg a teaching platform of three levels including tools subject, basic theories for subjects and subjects skills ,developing different teaching activities according to different requirements so as to keep the qualities of students fit for cultivatad odjects; constructing their kinds of troops including type of theory, type of skills and type of double skill, which have their own characteristics and can supplement and promote and develop with each orther in order to realize the culivated objects.

Abstract:Vocational education plays an essential role in developing diverse human talents, passing on technical skills, and promoting employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship. As a critical part of the national education system and the development of human resources, vocational education in China plays a crucial role in the development of diverse talents, the transfer of technical skills, and the promotion of employment and entrepreneurship. This paper aims to explore the history, roles, challenges, and the way forward for vocational education in China. It is found that vocational education in China has gone through a series of name changes before settling on its current nomenclature. Although vocational education is essential to complement general academic education to build a nation, it faces an uphill battle to gain the same status and recognition bestowed on general education. These challenges include curriculum design, poor linkages with industries, public perception, and other structural issues. This paper also discusses how to overcome these challenges to improve vocational education in China.
