Abstract:Although quality requirements (QRs) have become a major drive in today's software development, there have been very few real-world examples in the literature that demonstrate how to meet these requirements. This paper presents such an example. Specifically, the paper describes the design of a partition-based distributed stock trading service system that satisfies a set of QRs related to resource utilization, performance, scalability and availability. The paper evaluates this design through detailed experiments and discusses some design alternatives and the lessons learned. Central to this design are a static load distribution strategy and a dynamic load balancing strategy. The first strategy is to achieve an initial balanced workload on the system's server cluster during the system initialization time, whereas the second strategy is to maintain this balanced workload throughout the system execution time. Together, these two strategies work in unison to ensure that the server resources are efficiently utilized; the user requests are processed with the required speed; the application is partitioned with sufficient room to scale; and the system is highly available. Abstract:High performance,high dependability and high scalability are the basic requirements for a securities trading matchmaking system. The design principles and the way of technology implementations of the matchmaking system are depicted in this paper with a practical application – oriented system as discussion basis. The key technologies pertaining to achieving high performance are illustrated as the emphasis,including the separation of the matchmaking algorithm and the database access,the optimization of matchmaking queue,the control of queue congestion and the design of multilevel data buffering,and so on. In the end,a test platform is built to evaluate the performance of the matchmaking system. The result demonstrates that the system has achieved fundamentally high performance.

Abstract:GS-STEP is a STEP toolkit that adapts to open environment. To meet the needs of flexibility in open CIMS environment, authors took system independence, protocol independence and hierarchical modularization as the development strategy. With this strategy GS-STEP could be conveniently embedded in all kinds of CAx systems, and each functional unit could be used independently as software toolkit or development platform, which embodies the thought of 'Plug and Play' and the principle of extensibility. As a platform for information integration, GS-STEP has been successfully used in the integrated CIMS environment of GS-ICCC - an integrated CAD/CAPP/CAM software developed by the authors too. This paper addresses the design and implementation of GS-STEP from the viewpoints of development strategy, system structure, data flow and function organization.

Abstract:Data index, based on hash list or hierarchical tree, can't fit for the need of accessing dynamic data in large scale e-trading. Proposes an index method based upon entwisted and sorted bidirectional linked list assembled to a static framework. The framework created according to the intrinsic properties of dynamic business data and the entwisted linked list constructed in terms of both type attributes and sorting keys of these dynamic data. After created, the framework is no longer change. Index updating is only to add a new node to an entwisted list or just to adjust the pointers of a pair of list node. Most of data processing carried out by a business transaction is data finding, operations of searching and matching a specific key along one list of an entwisted linked list of data index. The method both simplifies the processing and improves the accessing of dynamic business data. Use it to organize orders and other dynamic data in trade engine ZCETE, both analysis and test result show that the manipulation of dynamic data is high efficiency.

Abstract:An ECU (electronic control unit) for the high-pressure common-rail fuel system was designed for production.By using high performance the microcontroller MC68376 according to the modularization method and the reliability design procedure, the hardware and fundamental software of ECU were designed. The hardware was composed of MCU, power, input-output module. And the software included initialization, sampling, and outputting module. The engine bench and real truck test show that the system has powerful function, credible performance and the accurate and reliable control can be relied on.

Abstract:The processing procedure of the traditional ETL work flow is analyzed and studied.Based on JAVA,the optimized scheme of ETL work flow is presented,and it optimizes the traditional ETL performance,perfectly solves the problems about data fusion,data consistency and data synchronous update in the data integration processing procedure,and reduces bottleneck restriction and the processing time.The application proves that the optimized ETL flow scheme effectively reduces the time of the traditional ETL workflow with favorable application value.

Abstract:According to the TPC-W (transaction processing performance concil-Web e-commerce)benchmark, a TPC-W performance test and analyses of the trading system is presented. The bottleneck of the performance was found. And an optimization algorithm of the Web trading system based on the TPC-W benchmark is introduced. The algorithm controls all of congestion by assistance of alignment attemptering and managing, it redresses the balance all of service requests that arrive at the cache according a special principia. The special principia is like this: first arrive, first servicing. That method could solve the congestion efficiently. So optimization algorithm can improve performance of the whole system. By contrasting the two experiment results which before and after using the optimization algorithm, it can be easily found that if we use the optimization algorithm, the response time of each transaction will trend to be stable. Before using the optimization algorithm, the transaction response time will become longer and longer until the server can not give any response. Then it can be concluded that this experiment result accords with the purpose of the optimization algorithm.

Abstract:This work aims to bridge the existing knowledge gap in the optimisation of latency-critical code, specifically focusing on high-frequency trading (HFT) systems. The research culminates in three main contributions: the creation of a Low-Latency Programming Repository, the optimisation of a market-neutral statistical arbitrage pairs trading strategy, and the implementation of the Disruptor pattern in C++. The repository serves as a practical guide and is enriched with rigorous statistical benchmarking, while the trading strategy optimisation led to substantial improvements in speed and profitability. The Disruptor pattern showcased significant performance enhancement over traditional queuing methods. Evaluation metrics include speed, cache utilisation, and statistical significance, among others. Techniques like Cache Warming and Constexpr showed the most significant gains in latency reduction. Future directions involve expanding the repository, testing the optimised trading algorithm in a live trading environment, and integrating the Disruptor pattern with the trading algorithm for comprehensive system benchmarking. The work is oriented towards academics and industry practitioners seeking to improve performance in latency-sensitive applications.

Abstract:Advances in automotive technology require networks to support a variety of communication requirements, such as reliability, real-time performance, low jitter, and strict delay limits. Time-Sensitive Network (TSN) is a keyframe transmission delay-guaranteed solution based on the IEEE 802 architecture of the automotive Ethernet. However, most of the existing studies on automotive TSN performance are based on a single mechanism, lacking a complete and systematic research tool. At the same time, the design method should be considered from a global perspective when designing an automotive TSN system, rather than only considering a single mechanism that TSN applies to. This paper discusses the correspondence between traffic types and automotive scenarios and proposes a methodology to target the delay constraint of traffic types as the design goal of automotive TSN networks. To study the performance of automotive TSN under different mechanisms such as time-aware shaper (TAS), credit-based shaper (CBS), cyclic queuing and forwarding (CQF), etc., this paper also develops a systematic automotive TSN simulation system based on OMNeT++. The simulation system plays a crucial role in the whole methodology, including all applicable TSN standards for the automotive field. Lastly, a complex automotive scenario based on zonal architecture provided by a major motor company in Shanghai is analyzed in the simulated system; verifying TSN can guarantee real-time performance and reliability of the in-vehicle network.

Abstract:With the increasing demand for computing power and performance in automotive, multi-core ECUs (Electronic Control Unit) are introduced. And hard real-time embedded systems in automotive require timing analyzability. But multi-core systems are less analyzable as the conflicts may happen between different tasks when they are accessing shared resources. In this paper we propose an adaptive arbitration policy base on crossbar interconnect to provide analyzability for hard real-time task. Moreover we add FIFO in crossbar to improve the non-hard real-time task's performance. The experimental results show that the estimated WCET reduces about 36% while the performance of the only non-hard real-time tasks increases about 15%.

Abstract:To solve the problem of performance worsening on scheduling key transactions induced by intensive data accessing in large scale e-trading, the paper classifies the varieties of trading transactions and investigates on their unique structures, and presents a two-stage schedule policy based on virtual deadline and timestamp ordering. It guarantees the prior scheduling of primary transactions by adopting both methods of proper segmentation of long matchmaking transaction and rational selection of amending factor. The results of simulations and tests show that, trading transactions can be totally processed up to 1970 within one second and each close to 0.5ms in no delay condition, meet the need of scheduling concurrent transactions in large scale e-trading.

Abstract:Aiming at realizing efficient performance evaluation of NoC,and reducing SoC(system-on-chip) development period,this paper proposed a new high-level,high-efficiency,cycle-accurate NoC simulation platform.Different from conventional tools,it supported evaluation for both 2D mesh and ring topologies and virtual channel extension in router structure design.It efficiently gave performance results,including average latency,throughput and energy consumption.Experimental results demonstrate that this simulation platform can simulate NoC behavior and obtain performance evaluation results,which provides high-efficiency verification method for NoC design and optimization.

Abstract:The recent rapid development of industrial Ethernet requires addressing the topic of network design from a new perspective. The design of industrial Ethernet networks must typically consider real-time constraints and robustness against network failures. In this paper, the topology design of industrial Ethernet networks problem is firstly modelled considering the requirements of industrial applications. Considering the increasing scale of industrial Ethernet networks, computational complexity of network optimization schemes becomes a more and more important issue. A fast algorithm based on a heuristic extension of a genetic algorithm is presented and shown to provide an effective solution and lower computation complexity as compared to a pure genetic algorithm.
