Abstract:Objective To explore the diagnostic value of white light gastroscopy and magnifying endoscopy combined with narrow - band imaging (ME - NBI)in patients with atrophic gastritis and early gastric cancer. Methods A total of 243 patients were selected in this hospital in March 2016. After patients agreed to examine with white light endoscopy,then they underwent magnifying endoscopy combined with narrow band imaging examination,and the samples of suspicious tissue were sent for pathological examination. In comparison with the difference in test sensitiv-ity,specificity,positive predictive value,negative predictive value and accuracy of these 2 kinds of examination. Results Among 243 test sub-jects,routine gastroscopy showed that there were suspicious lesions under endoscopy,and biopsy specimens were obtained by gastroscopy. In 226 cases were diagnosed as atrophic gastritis,and 17 cases as early gastric cancer. The detection rate of white atrophic gastritis was 94. 7％ (214 /226)and early gastric cancer was 29. 4％ (5 / 17);magnifying endoscopy with narrow band imaging group of atrophic gastritis,the detection rate was 99. 6％,the detection rate of early gastric cancer was 88. 2％ (15 / 17). The difference in these two sets of inspection methods was significant (P < 0. 05). In ordinary white light endoscopy group on diagnosis of early gastric cancer,the sensitivity,specificity and positive predictive val-ue,negative predictive value and accuracy in diagnosis of early gastric cancer with white light endoscopy were 93. 2％,53. 5％,25. 3％,97. 4％and 54. 0％ respectively. The specificity,positive predictive value,negative predictive value and accuracy. of early diagnosis of gastric cancer of magnifying endoscopy comnined with narrow band imaging group were 88. 2％,99. 4％,97. 3％,94. 3％ and 97. 0％ respectively,the accuracy was significantly higher than that of the former and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0. 05). Conclusion Magnifying endoscopy combined with narrow - band imaging can significantly raise the detection rate of patients with atrophic gastritis and gastric cancer,and this combi-nation examination in patients with early gastric cancer has high accuracy,simple operation procedure and strong enforce ability,which is helpful for early screening and diagnosis of patients.
